Osmosis
(2019)

Aimless and weak
Not a thrill, not a drama, not a love story, actually not a science and certainly a bad fiction. Stay away and I rarely do such a recommendation.

Interesting idea, but a bad film
It starts with an interesting "what-if" idea, that could have a great potential on the screen. But the film itself is a disappointment. Not a drama, not a comedy, not something that supports the "what-if" approach. Poor scenario, poor playing. Sorry guys, that's the reality. Better luck next time.

The Good Wife: End
(2016)
Episode 22, Season 7

BY FAR the worst episode of the series
Huge disappointment for a brilliant series. I really wonder what they're thinking while making the last episode. Do they were on strike for underpayment?

American Beauty
(1999)

A weird everyday family story
With 5 Oscars (best movie, director, actor leading role, cinematography and writing) and 3 more nominations (actress leading role, film editing and music) it is listed as one of the leading films in the history of cinema. Weird film, with Kevin Spacey being the only character in the play that played more as a comedian and much less as a drama, an element that sealed the film's weird character. The film is powerful, a mirror of relationships in a modern family. A family broken up inside, where its members seek communication, joy, love, esteem, outside the family context. Just the opposite of what the family window showcases, that is. And all this is embedded in the social context, with its anchors, its distortions, its exaggerations, its impositions, but also its instability. To conclude that the family self-destructs itself, which is ultimately the only element on which she could find support.

A great movie
"This is how comedies should be made," one reader writes in his review, and he is truly right. A film that is successful on all sides. It is pleasant, fast, it has a strong story, very good performances, it is funny where it is needed, it is touching and powerful where it is needed, it has the necessary emotional ups and downs, you laugh, you worry, but most of all you spend two pleasant hours watching it. It is not one of the leading films in cinema history. Maybe because a comedy will never be recorded as a top movie. But it certainly applies the recipe of its kind with great success. The cast responds extremely well, with plenty of credits to the director, especially for the pace of the film.

Special but interesting film
A very special but also quite interesting film. Some will adore it, some will find it boring. It is the first date of two millennials, who practice online dating. The whole movie is this, the first rendezvous of the two, which actually are the only actors in the film. This appointment is about telling the truth, there is spontaneity, fears, serious talk, jokes, games. A first date many of us will see a lot from our lives, but also from the lives of others who have always wondered if that was the case. Obviously a low budget production, but maybe that was ultimately necessary. After all, the first date of two everyday people couldn't be luxurious and surely a movie that would show it like that wouldn't be realistic. The performances are not for the Oscars, but they are extremely natural. After all, it is required by the concept of film. Watch it, I think it won't disappoint you.

Making Babies

Comedy or drama? Don't try both
Probably the biggest problem with this movie, is that it isn't clear if it is a comedy or a drama. It is funny, it is cute, but the dramatization is weak. And it is there that I missed the point. The purpose was to produce a light movie, but at some point it goes on characters, and it makes it complicated. I'd prefer something more clear, either as a comedy or as a drama. Next time don't try to achieve both in such kind of movie, please.

Adult World
(2013)

An 80's film shot in 2013
Indifferent, without power to the script, with rather procedural interpretations. Directing without inspiration, a scenario without some genuine originality, would make some sense in the conservative society of the '80s, but 2-3 decades later it is rather indifferent.

In Your Eyes
(2014)

A romantic gem
A very beautiful romantic story, based on a clever idea that gives rise to the thought of "what if". It travels pleasantly, despite the directorial weaknesses, but it balances on many points capturing the emotion and magnetizing. Excellent support of the script by Zoe Kazan, who seems to be experiencing both her role and her leading-role partner. The film is backed by an excellent soundtrack, with a careful selection of songs that act as breaks between the - superficial - relationship of the two leadings.
