Good but not Good enough This is the movie that many people all around the world have been waiting for since a very long time. There were many people showing dissent against casting Ben Affleck and Jesse Eisenberg as Batman and Lex Luthor respectively.
So,let's start with them. I can understand that moving freely in Bat costume can be very tough but Ben made it look like it is tougher than carrying whole earth on his solders. Believe me when I say that action scenes were really good in the movie but I felt it was all graphics and not Affleck. His acting as Batman made some scenes look weird and made me hate DC casting directors more.
Now,Moving on to Lex Luthor played by Jesse Eisenberg. I personally like him as an actor and I like the idea of making Luthor look like a freak is kind of good but bring them both together and it was a disaster. Him touching other actors and trying to act like a mastermind clown didn't suit either him or his character. At the end it looked very stupid.
I went to the theater asking why is Batman Fighting Superman,I came out asking same question. The reason Wayne wants to fight Superman may be that Superman caused too much damage to Metropolis, and Wayne thinks a fight might make Superman and the world more cognizant of his capabilities. Or maybe it's because Wayne is still sad over his parents' deaths and experiencing some sort of hyper PTSD. Or, wait — is it because Wayne thinks everyone is too into authoritarianism to see how insane it is to trust Superman? Perhaps it's because Wayne is jealous of Superman. Or maybe he simply can't see past Lex Luthor's (Jesse Eisenberg) tricks and an ongoing media narrative that Superman is dangerous.
Henry Cavill did a decent job as Superman. But I feel like this movie has Man Of Steel written all over it .So,I think his performance is going to be over shadowed by the plot and how others performed. If this movie is going to be hit he and Gal Gadot should duly receive the credit for their performances. With a performance like this Gal Gadot made me more excited for Wonder woman and Justice League movies.
Zack Snyder,I have mixed feeling for him I don't know weather it was writers or him but some scenes were great while the others were really the crappiest scenes I have ever seen. For most most of the worst scenes were with Jesse Eisenberg and his weird portrayal of Lex Luthor.
Characters like Lois Lane played by Amy Adams or rest of Justice league characters were not part of the plot.I get the point that Justice league members might have made appearances to connect this movie to Justice League. But,There was a long drag of plot to show how the world is divided between supporting Superman and Thinking that he can destroy the world but there is no time for a great character like Lois Lane to be in the plot a bit more.
I don't want to give away anything but man that ending sucks. For me the whole movie was on one side an the disappointment with the ending was another.
