I started watching Series 01 only in 2023, although I new that it was a very good one. And really it is. I finished the first series in 3 days, and so on with the following ones. Of course it's a fiction, but it's very intense, very exciting and gripping, you can't leave it on. Claire Danes performance is more than fantastic, she is a superb actor, she should have more roles in other movies.

The other fantastic actor is Rupert Friend / Peter Quinn. They should make a prequel or other series with him: Quinn. A Bond/Wick kind of person, lethal like a cobra, invincible like the Terminator, and having a charisma and charme like James Bond. It would have succes, in my opinion.

Homeland is a complex series that it shouldn't be missed by those who like current affairs and exciting action films.

Fantastic series, depicts the British life, society, politics, customs as well. Rupert Friend excels as always as the young politician but Siena Miller and the other actors are also very good. Well directed, well done, as most British series. Seems realistic, too. I binge watched the whole series over a weekend. It shows that British politics and polticia s, at least in the film, are not so innocent as they want to show themselfs, or as in other countries. It is a brave step from BBC to display these dark secrets, even if they are not true, only a possibility, as this can be a prevention for politicians to keep their barriers.

One of the best TV series of 2021, this drama series presents a sociopath couple so good, as they could be taught in a university course at this lecture. Tahar Rahim is perfect in his role, never seen any actor playing better this kind of personality. He previously plyed The prophete, another criminal mind in a prison, also a a. Ery good film. He is a highly underrated actor, he deserves more attention. The other actors also are excellent, as the directing as well.

Not to be missed!

Not groundbreaking, but well directed, well acted gang related crime thriller. Brutal and honest.

The main actors are very good, and the intensity is also captivant.

Definitely worth watching. Rarely seen such a captivant LA bloodbath latino subculture movie, but remember: Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad and the mexican cartel in them, similar cruelty, similar criminal underworld.

Many bad critics... If you want Antonioni, Fellini, Bergman or other art movie, don't watch this one! It's a good gangster movie, which is very rare these days!

David Ayer made another excellent crime thriller after Training Day, Dark Blue, Harsh Times, Street Kings, End of Watch. Hope another one will follow!

Guy Ritchie at his best, Jason Statham never was better in this role as action hero and human terminator in this vengeance movie. A remake much better than the original (Le convoyeur, 2004). Nothing new to the genre, but perfectly built up, enjoyable, tense, good acting, well directed, good music and dark athmosphere, a masterpiece of the genre, in general and in the last decade.

Never seen any other movie getting mostly 10/10s from viewers, only this one. Well deserved!

Best action movie in years, best Jason Statham movie ever. Irony: there is some Clin Eastwood manner in his acting and Scott Eastwood is his main enemy...

Definitely not to miss it! I saw it four times to date (first review), and more to follow. Six times so far (second review), and seems better and better, every sentence, every word, every moment has its importance for the whole, they are parts of the big picture and you understand everything at the end.

Jason Statham as Doom on two legs, the modern british ultimate action hero...

Steven van Zandt displays a similar character as in Sopranos but less brutal, more emotional, more human. The entire show is centered around him, and he is brilliant. A great actor! The show is very entertaining, a black comedy and a drama, very well directed, very funny, a great surprise, not to miss!

Maybe the first French submarine movie, the first French Army movie, where the French Army has to act independently - it is now the strongest EU Army, led by the most visionary President of Europe, M Macron, who hopefully will be the President of Europe for two terms or more, after Ms van der Leyen's term. That's the background and the possible future. The film id well written, well acted, well directed, not a big budget, but quite enough, enjoyable. A good start for European war movies with a President, a strong Army, a hero, etc. Bravo!

Very well put together movie, Hollywood style, but with a French flair, which makes it somehow original. Worth watching it!

This film was made around the period when Chadwick's illness was discovered. He made the majority of his films since then, between surgeries and chemos. As another reviewer noticed he's an actor comparable to Denzel Washington. Maybe yes, unfortunately he hasn't had the time to prove that. My first thought was the same when I first saw him, btw. This film, Marshall, 21 Bridges, and of course Black Panther: mnany different roles and all superb acting. His passing is an irreplaceable loss for his family, for the black community and for every moviegoer and filmlover. Rest In Peace, Chadwick. Your memory never will be forgotten. You remain the King and a Hero in many ways.

A difficult topic and and excellent realization. And the beautiful Alison Eastwood, the princesse daughter of the great Clint Eastwood, the living legend and the living treasure of the American movie.

In a nutshell: an excellent film directed by Clint Eastwood, the living legend of the American movie. With four Oscars and hundreds of awards and nominations, he is the most creative and most productive moviemaker. He is unique, a living American treasure. Every bit of every film of him should be rewatched again and again. He tells stories about real people, real emotions, real heros. And his beautiful daughter, Alison is also part of the film. Definitely worth watching.

A Zed category movie, no plot, no logic, no nothing in it.

This is the movie of the year if not the decade! A masterful directing from Todd Phillips, the photography, the music are also outstanding. But what is breathtaking, is Joaquin Phoenix's Joker. He has been an outstanding actor worth at least an Oscar already (for The Gladiator, The Master, Inherent Vice and so on). But his Joker will be taught in film schools. You don't see such a performance too often or never see one. On the other hand, about the film, it's a standalone movie but if you know the Batman Universe you understand small details better. If you want to see one film this year this should be the one (and The Irishman, of course :-) ).

Nicolas Cage and a bunch of good caracter actors and actresses in a Traffic-like movie! Not going as deep as Traffic, but entertaining and far from being the usual stuff. There are twists and turns, the plot is tight and captivant. A movie worth watching!

This a slow paced and outstanding crime thriller. The acting is perfect, Jeremy Renner's performance is simply breathtaking. Elisabeth Olsen is also excellent. After watching it for the first time I could not not to think about the atmosphere of the movie and the people involved. It enters you and catches you and does not let you to go.

AFTER THE FIRST TEN MINUTES WATCHING THIS MOVIE YOU CAN TELL THAT IT WAS DIRECTED BY BRIAN DE PALMA, AND ALFRED HITCHCOCK'S SHADOW IS WEAPPING THE MOVIE. EVERY DE PALMA'S STYLISTIC BLUEPRINT IS PRESENT AND THIS MAKES THIS FILM VERY TENSE AND ENJOYABLE. WORTH WATCHING IT.

Daniel Auteuil is one of the best actors of his generation and beyond worldwide. He not only resembles phisically to Robert DeNiro but his talent as an actor also shows huge resemblance to DeNiro's talent. Thus it is worth watching him in every role he plays. And he is one of the most versatile actors playing cops, historic figures, everymens and you name it. This film is a thriller worth watching it.

If you saw the first two episodes, there is no need to tell you to watch the third one. If not, go and watch the previous episodes and then the third one. You get what you expected you would get. The best action movie of the year so far. Spoiler: Apparently not the last movie of the series.

Thia film was directed by the same Norwegian director, Hans Petter Moland, who directed the original film.Thus it is almost the same turns and twists. The bizarre and absurd characters being as from the Coen Brothers any film, maybe a Fargo Part Two. In the original film two giants of the European Cinema appear, the late Bruno Ganz - the greatest German speaking actor ever - and the Swedish Stellan Skarsgaard. In this remake Liam Neeson and some very good character actors, including the beautiful Julia Jones. The plot is similar. If you like black comedies a la Coen Brothers do not miss it. If not, just see it.It is worth 2 hours quality time. Good acting, good directing, good characters, black humor.

I have read some bad reviews about this film. They were all wrong. It is a wonderful piece of movie. True, the story is not so original but life repeats itself from time to time. And it is inspired by true events. But what is utterly breathtaking is the acting of the two characters. Viggo Mortensen, a great actor gives the performance of his life, definitely worth an Oscar. He became an ordinary working class Italian-American guy, I felt he is a member of the Sopranos' family... Mahershala Ali has a mighty presence, as always. The contrast between the aristocratic Ali and the working class Mortensen is funny and heart-warming at the same time. Both deserve the Oscar for their outstanding performance. The directing is professional and flawless. It is a must watch movie and you will will enjoy it for sure.

It is a very good military and political thriller. One of the last roles of the late great Swedish actor Michael Nyqvist. Those who prefer the genre should watch it first thing in the morning. A bit clichéd of course but it's fiction and fun.

Harrison Ford excels in this movie directed by Alan J. Pakula, and so does the late Raul Julia too. A classic, which should be watched from time to time. It is fresh after 28 years as well. And again, Raul Julia was a fantastic and very gifted actor, a great personality. We always will miss him.

It is a film I watched at least ten times. I think, it does not need further explanation. Outstanding acting of the giant of the cinema, Denzel Washington, and also outstanding acting of all the other actors, even in minor roles (I apologise to not to mention all of them by name for lack of space). A very well written plot, tense and suspenseful, unpredictable at times even for film afficionados, and much enjoyable. Beautifully photographed, it should be teached in film schools. The first image, the rising Sun is unforgettable. The scene in the latino quartier is also remarkable. Noel Guglielmo and his camarades are so authentic. It is a contemporary classic, and shouldn't be missed at any price. You'll enjoy it the fifth time as well, I'm sure.

I watched The Purge back in 2013 and despite its flaws I enjoyed it to some extent. I would rate it as 6 /10 in its genre. But I was a bit afraid watching the sequel, as sequels usually are less good. What an error! The Purge Anarchy is a good movie, one of the best thrillers I saw lately. It introduced Frank Grillo, a charismatic superhero, a character between Clint Eastwood's a d Keanu Reeves' similar roles. The brother of John Wick, for instance. He could and should play main roles in big budget revenge movies, he has the presence, the charisma and the skills to do that. You should watch it, even if you didn't see the first part. It's one of the rare recent watchable action thrillers.

It s a film about the moral and ethics. Others wrote about the plot, so I won't. The question is what to do when your own very high ethical standards meet your private life's problems, and you suddenly realize that you are vulnerable and betrayed? Should you protect yourself, your imaginary world or seek for revenge? What is remarkable is the outstanding acting of Tom Wilkinson and Emily Watson. Mr. Wilkinson is, as always, fantastic in his role, convincing and authentic. He is one of the best character actors of his generation, and it is always a pleasure to watch him, as somebody wrote. It is a good movie and those who like films with a real plot and ethical questions, should watch it. It is recommended for those who like outstanding acting, and mainly Tom Wilkinson. And I have to add that it is a very British film, so those who want to learn about Britishness, can do it watching this film.
