Into the Wild
(2007)

Into the spectacular
Into the Wild is a superb, trotting, wonderful tale that deserves to be on every inner-adventurer's shelf. The settings look exquisite and all the environments are perfectly place in the film. It just feels right to see young Emile Hirsch in these locals. The plot is slow, but gripping; if the male lead wasn't so compelling, who knows? Speaking of him, Emile Hirsch makes the film what it is. His versatility, complexity, and flexibility in this role makes it all natural. With his smirk-laden smile, he treks across the country, with excitement. I really wish he would have got nominated for an Oscar. Another actor worthy of prestige is Vince Vaughn. Yes, the Vince Vaughn from Wedding Crashers. He is incredible. Maybe his same quick tongue average Joe is the same in every film, but he is the master of it. Great actors add to the great cinematography and direction.

Into the Wild is a great film, albeit, long film that is better to watch with company.

Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical
(2005)

You Don't Have To Be On Reefer To Enjoy This!
Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical (as if the title needed it) is a..um...spoof, some would say, of the original movie from 1936 entitled "Tell Your Children". As the title would suggest, it's changed into the form of a musical. Fun. The film has many has many, many dance scenes and musical numbers to keep anyone who knows what the Tony Awards entertained. Some people (you know who you are) might not enjoy it because of all the dancing and skipping and singing and "sissy boy" things. Well, who cares? Go watch Monday night football.

This will also attract the "stoner" crowd, obviously. Well, that's good. It won't change there minds.

The film is fun, has loads of personality, and well written. Alan Cumming is very enjoyable with all his roles. I never knew he was such a great actor (Nightcrawler in X-Men 2 wasn't exactly his best). The only person to do a better job is Kristen Bell, who is a phenomenal singer and actress. Why she hasn't done a Broadway production is beyond me. I hope to see her in more films one day. I guess if I had a quarrel with this movie anywhere, it would be it's length, which might bore you if you are alone. So, have fun, watch with a friend, laugh, dance a little, and don't smoke the "evil" marijuana. Ha. 8/10

28 Days Later...
(2002)

Zombie Fun for the Whole Family...or not.
So the movie begins with a view of Cilian Murphy's penis. That image alone would have been enough for any normal movie to be given a lower than 1 on my rating. But the scene was quick, and his penis was small, so I wasn't intimidated by it. So, after that scene, we find out that he was in a coma for who knows how long. He exits his hospital room, to find no one. Complete emptiness. He goes out side, still in hospital attire, to find that the streets of London are also completely empty. Well, as a run of the mill zombie movie would go, him being alone...guess whats going to happen-a zombie strikes. But never fear, because two people come to his rescue. And the survival begins from there. I won't spoil anymore.

This movie is well written, has some nice cinematography, and Cilian Murphy always is a good actor in my books. Some cons may include that the last half hour feels out of placed and rush...but it was still a great zombie movie. Go see it if you haven't yet. And then, heck, go see the sequel. It's guaranteed 100% less Cilian Murphy penis. And that's fun for the whole family. 7/10

Aladdin
(1992)

One of my favorites!
Aladdin is a superb Disney movie. I found the story to be interesting, if somewhat hectic at times. The characters had personality, they were funny, they had CHARACTER. Robin Williams does an amazing job as Genie. The music is my favorite part of the movie, though. When I heard "One Jump Ahead", I loved it. When I heard "Prince Ali", I loved it. And then when "A Whole New World" came along, I was like, "oh my god". It is an amazing song. If I were to knock any points off it would be for the animation, which doesn't seem on par with Disney quality at times. But other than that, this is one of the best Disney movies ever released. It is much better than any of the new stuff Disney is releasing (Brother Bear, Home on the Range), and I would say it is even with Beauty and the Beast and Hercules. So overall, I would give Aladdin 9/10.

Enter the Dragon
(1973)

Bruce Lee almost at his finest!
Enter the Dragon, like most of Bruce Lee's movies, is very good. He doesn't fight for any reason like most martial artists in movies, he has a good cause. Enter the Dragon is an enjoyable film on most aspects. The story has good twists and isn't predictable. The fighting segments are very well choreographed and aren't too short or drag out too long. Bruce Lee is a very likable person in most of his films, this one being one of them. He has a certain charisma to him, that most other martial artists do not, such as Jet Li. This is a very good movie for Bruce Lee, but it isn't his best. I actually prefer GAME OF DEATH, but not the version that was edited without him. If that movie could have been finished, it would have been legendary. But this movie is great, so it gets a 9/10.

Dragon Ball Z: Chikyû Marugoto Chôkessen
(1990)

The Tree of Might...Good Memories
Wow, this movie was awesome back in the day. I am pretty sure this was the first Dragon Ball Z movie I saw. It was on Toonami once when they showed anime movies on Fridays. But anyways, looking back on it today, I can see that this movie is above average for a DBZ movie (it really holds it ground, seeing as the newer movies look 10x better than this one), it is far better than LORD SLUG and BROLY's SECOND COMING. The action was great and the main villain was enjoyable. The story isn't predictable (for DBZ), and the music and voice acting was pretty decent. But it can't compete with the far superior movies, such as FUSION REBORN, WRATH OF DRAGON, COOLER's REVENGE, BOJACK UNBOUND, and SUPER ANDROID 13. 7/10

Kung fu
(2004)

OH MY GOD... We've Found The PERFECT MOVIE!
Gong Fu (Kung Fu Hustle) is one of the best movies I have ever seen. It is by far the best kung fu movie I have ever seen. It is right up there with Once upon a time in China! FIrst, the action. The movie starts off slow but gradually picks up the pace with some of the best action sequences ever seen in a movie of its kind. Other kung fu movies have longer action sequences, but it doesn't matter, the action sequences are so fun that it makes up for the shortness of the fights. I will say though, the special effects in this movie almost crossed the line for being mistaken for a cartoon...but I'm not complaining. The acting in the movie is also good...the best actors in the movie have to be the beast, the landlady, and Stephen Chow's character. Finally, event that made Chow's character so powerful at the end of the story was predictable, but I loved. This movie is so good, I am going to see it again! (A++)

Metal Gear Ac!d
(2004)

A Great Launch Game...but still a CARD GAME!
Metal Gear Acid. Let me just say a couple things about this game first. If you are expecting a game like the PS2 versions, your in for a big surprise. Metal Gear Acid is completely different from Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, and 3. For starters it is all based around cards. It is turn based... not real-time. But when I bought this game, I was expecting something terrible, but it ended up being great. I will admit though the card combat will really throw people who love the other metal gears off. But you will get used to it. I know I did and have to say that it is a great surprise. Top 5 PSP games.....so far. Buy this game with caution.
