The Shield
(2002)

Best show on TV
The Shield is without a doubt one of the best shows on television. As series 6 is drawing to a close in the UK (2007) we have been told that there will be a final series 7 and i, for one, cannot wait! The shield is so different from other shows as it is filmed less brilliantly than other shows. For example in a raid the camera is "running" with the team, it feels like you are running with them. The results of all the scenes are less "polished", giving a more realistic and gritty outcome! Another reason why the shield is so different is because there are no clear cut goodies and baddies, and i like that. Shows where its clear who is going to win/lose/die get boring after a while, i like my "heroes" my "characters" to be flawed and real...and you can't get more flawed than the characters in the shield! The story lines are exciting and fast paced. In fact i only have one problem with the show (or perhaps with me). I need to tape it because 1. i can't stand adverts just when something exciting happens! 2. my brain is just too slow sometimes and the dialogue is quick and witty and i have to rewind and watch again and again and again! if you haven't seen it..you're definitely missing out!

Killer Instinct
(2005)

Brilliant
Love this show!! OK so it's quite simplistic, some of it is really obvious, but that's what makes it great watching! i can watch and do something else, i don't need to think about how something meant something which related to a bit at the start which i wasn't really watching.

messner is gravelly voiced (kinda cute), and very funny, the woman is also amusing, and McBride is a great boss.

its refreshing to have a show that doesn't drown you in main characters (that i can never remember), and the first one where i don't hate a character in it! So disappointed now i hear that fox has cancelled it, to make it up to me could they release season one on DVD?!?!
