Memories
(2013)

Flawless? Far from it but a perfect Moody thriller
Memories talk about both protagonist and antagonist having haunting past which led to who they're now today. First half film beautifully depicts Sam alex(Prithviraj) routine life and his past and his first case after hiatus which ends with cleverly executed climax. It has its flaws few loopholes however rest of its department compensates big time. Second half is more of a thriller and it lived upto it's genre. Acting wise Prithvi was top notch excelled in both investigating and emotional roles. Other supporting actors were good too. Music placed perfectly and fits the mood. Bgm was excessive at the same time effective and added required tension throughout. Pace of the film was really good never felt yawning. Cinematography and colour shading they chosen were on par with many branded thrillers. Night chase shot was the highlight which shows the director's great vision and sujith vassudev's caliber. Editing was perfect and had a fairly engaging running time. If you're looking for a engaging thriller then go for it to say the least won't be disappointed. Almost a perfect moody thriller that you can watch alone in evening time with a rainy chilling ambience. My rating:7.6/10

Craziest film I've seen so far
Time travelling is pretty much alien to Indian industry let alone regional cinema. Tamil cinema has succeeded in making worthy time travel movie which is not only interesting but entertaining as well. Even though it's science fiction still it would be better if you don't delve deeper otherwise you'll be deprived from fine entertainer. Cast- Suriya is one of the few tamil actor who could act, fight and dance. He is a perfect package. Samantha has nothing much to do other than be a barbie doll. Saranya playing mother's role which is obvious, her forte. Nithya menon has to look pretty and cute. Other actors have done their job respectively well. Music & bgm- Background score stand out the most. Music were just placed because it's a typical Indian concept. Songs were good but just that it wasn't required. Seems forced to me. Technical- it has technical finesse which is called for and they've pulled it off with elan. Frames captured essence of locales. Overall it's a good afternoon watch if you've spare time. If you're fan of sci-fi genre and have seen plenty of it probably this is not your cake. Since we're not aware of how time machine works so the makers have taken that liberty of the logic and made 24. Just don't go behind the logic and enjoy the feast.

Poomaram
(2018)

Not everyone's cup of tea.
Definitely not my cup of tea but somewhat I liked it however I can't say I enjoyed it thoroughly. Film focuses on youth festival where people from different background participate and compete against each other. If you'd participated in such events or atleast been a spectator for dental years and you've enjoyed it then this film is for you. Probably this could evoke a nostalgia in you wanting to revisit your childhood otherwise film would end up as a boring yarn. Still I would say not to leave movie without watching climax because that's the best part of the film. Climax was totally enlightening and appealing to eyes. All the actors were amateurs barring a few but have done a good job though nothing outstanding. Music and lyrics was the soul of the film and was able to convey many things that film aiming to accomplish. My personal favorite were Kadavathoru thonirapu and Neramayi. Definitely top contender for the year. Regardless of the outcome I still appreciate Abrid shine for coming up with such different concepts after every film. + ve: Music, climax, acting, some scenes were good. -ve: lethargic pace, poetic style narration could not be digestible for everyone. Had the film was told in a more engaging manner then I would've rated it high, well for now 6/10

Badhaai ho
(2018)

Badhaai ho! Fun filled entertainer
From trailer alone we can figure out what this film is all about. Story is quite sensitive and it can be spin accordingly to the taste of makers be it comedy or serious, they've gone for the latter. Middle class family(couple) with well grown son past teenage age having an unplanned pregnancy which leads to embarrassing situation something which is quite uncalled for. Film handles the plight of the family and how they tackles it ending with delightful climax. Film is very light hearted and it has some witty dialogues too although it can get vulgar sometimes. Direction was pretty good and pacing throughout was consistently good. All actors have done their job perfectly however there was one Naani, who was owning everyone whenever she opens her mouth. Even at this age her energy was on par with many others. Some songs were good and others average. Best thing about the film is that it never preaches you not even for once. This is one film that you find yourself watching it whenever it telecast on television. Watch it! I assure you won't hate or regret watching it.

Could've been better
Only flaw that was annoying more than anything was film's length which could've sorted out with clever editing. Film is about a lives of many people with different lifestyle and how their life get tangled with each other effectively conveyed through multiple narrative narration. The usual problem with multiple or hyperlink narrative is that they test your patience for awhile and ultimately rewarded as it reaches culmination(everything would be settled in its place). I believe all the actors have performed their roles perfectly. Standout performance seems to be coming from Indrajith. Murali G as a angry frustrated man was convincing. Other actors like Anoop menon, lena, Jagathy, Tanushree ghosh, Nishan etc done their part well. Although Tanushree lip syncing was a bit let down. None of the songs made an impact albeit background music was apt and perfectly placed. On technical side they should've trimmed the length. Pace of the film was making me yarn throughout. Second half was better than the first half. Overall film is a likable fare. Rating : 7.1/10

Ranam
(2018)

If life had sign boards then probably they wouldn't have made this.
I was wondering how this one of the most anticipated film of prithviraj gone ignominious in box office so I decided to check myself and you know what I got? Well, this film has almost everything from great actors, scintillating visuals to catchy music but it lacked in one major department- script. It lacks great storyline which actually could engage you right from the word go. Made as an emotional thriller and yet none of the characters barely could evoke sympathy from me, Prithvi's tragic past doesn't connect well, so is Nandu's, Rahman role was supposed to be menacing but it lacks that too and above all isha's character was totally bland after losing everything in her life I could barely feel bad for her. Even dialogues written for characters seems better than the film itself, albeit climax was somewhat better than I expected. Gangster genre is pretty much alien to Malayalam cinema even they attempt to make one it ended up as a failure so this one is no different. Coming to the positive side film excels in capturing one of the notorious city detroit magnificently. Music done by Jakes bejoy was top notch and deserves an applaud. Action scenes were good and cinematography was breath takingly beautiful. Prithviraj and tragic character can't have a better match than this it is his forte playing stoic character so he was in his comfortable zone. Actors like Rahman, Nandu and some new actors did their part well. Isha talwar seem miscast at some places. +ve: Music, visuals, actors -ve: script, lagging Putting all the technical finesse and not so bad climax I'll rate 6.2/10. Go for it if you're Prithviraj fan or all you just care about spectacular looking hollywoodish film with pretty good music and action.

Andhadhun
(2018)

Deceiving or rather a pretentious!?
Ayushman is one actor who come with one film every year and get praise for his choice and goes unnoticed until his next outing. This year its andhadhun that making its buzz for quite sometime. Film revolves around our main lead played by Ayushman K(A.k)and how he gets into unwanted situation and story delve deeper and reaching denouement. Basic Premise of the plot has a great potential and by the time of intermission first half will keep you edge of the seat. First half of the film was exceptionally brilliant and in second half film gets more chaotic with too much twist and turns which ended with Nolan style ending where the climax is kept opened for viewers to interpret all on their own. Problem with such open ending is that if viewers could squeeze something brilliant out of it then whole film seems brilliant otherwise not. Well, this is one film where makers have left no stone unturned to make each actor to perform their job terrifically. Be it Ayushman , Tabu or Manav vij or even an old lady next door. Radika apte is ubiquitous quite lately but here she was reduced to less screen time. Even non pivotal role played by ashwini kalsekar did an outstanding job. Definitely hard to pick one out of all. Coming to the music and bgm I'll say bgm was more noteworthy than music especially one scene where A.K plays piano at Tabu's home. On technical side direction was the almost flawless and cinematography was good too. After all this I believe film could have been better nevertheless I'll definitely rate this film has one of the best of the year. +ve side: Story, Acting, Direction.& Bgm -ve side: chaotic 2nd half. Climax can be praised or criticize depending solely on viewers interpretation. Overall my rating would be 7.6/10

Nostalgic reunion filled with romance!
Film basically centered on two people for most of the part and how they reminisce about their past. To be honest romance is my least favorite genre and yet I've to acknowledge the fact that film was engaging for most of its part and doesn't lag much thanks to the actors which otherwise would've been a disaster. This film story has a potential to become a tragic cliche with over the top emotional roller coaster ride(which seldom happens) but makers cleverly evaded that. Still I felt climax could've been better. Film follows a non linear narrative pattern to connect the dots between past and present life. Truth is that I enjoyed the present than the past story. Coming to the acting all actors performed beautifully especially Trisha's expression at some scenes were almost unrivalled, so does Vjs. Actors who performed their younger self were pretty good too. Positive aspect: Acting, story, music, direction Negatives: bit lengthy, climax(just that it has nothing much to offer). To say the least film is definitely one time watch even if you don't enjoy romantic films. My overall rating 7.8/10

Bhavesh Joshi Superhero
(2018)

Heroes aren't born they're made!
»Mild spoilers«

Well tbh life isn't fair so we know many prodigies aren't made they're born too but what makes different is one's effort to bring change. Film revolves around three friends however primarily focusing on Priyanshu and Harshvardhan characters Bhavesh joshi and Sikander. Here Bhavesh is one guy who loves his country regardless of darkness that lies within our system and people and he has a strong sense of justice and he tries to be the change that he like to see in this world by defying anything that he finds immoral which includes cutting trees, peeing in public and violating traffic laws which also sometimes backfires resulting more distance between friendship so much so that letting him alone fighting the corrupted system. What happens forms the rest of the story. Overall screenplay wasn't that engaging it started really well but falls down soon and climax seems abrupt too. Coming to the actors I must say Priyanshu outclassed every single actor in this film. In climax, at one scene where he introduced a new name to the superhero "insaafman" to his friends one could clearly see his expression and body language which is enough for people to praise. Other actors were good too. None of the music made much impact however background music was totally top notch especially towards climax. Technically film was on par with many high budget films even bike chase scene was altogether on different level compared to what we seen in dhoom3. Cinematography was beautifully done and successfully captured the essence of dark and mystic night of mumbai. People might even call it as gareebo ka batman but honestly I would like to see more such films in bollywood. One of the best superhero film that I have seen in bollywood. He is not the regular hero like iron man or superman that one find themself cheering instead we hope that he get alive whenever he fights against corrupted people because he is one of us. This is the film that we deserves but not the one we needs right now so we'll.... :-P Technical: 8.5/10 Story : 6/10 Acting : 6.5/10 Music : 6/10 BGM :8/10 Overall my rating :70%

Ratsasan
(2018)

One of the Best thriller after long time...
Mild spoilers: Film follows a whodunit style narrative and the lead cop is trying to catch the serial killer that's what forms the crux of the story. Typical concept that we usually see in investigative thriller however what makes it cut above rest is its screenplay and spine chilling bgm. Film has its flaws and often tries to deceive audience by throwing usual bait to confuse and later lead to another perpetrator, to me which was quite obvious. Make up department could have done a better job. On the acting front lead actors were convincing and has done good job. Positives: background score, Screenplay, Actors, cinematography. Negative side: film was quite lengthy, killer's killing motives lack finesse. Film definitely deserves your time and money because after completing watching movie it will definitely haunt you for some time for its eerie vibe and bgm that has to offer you.

Thriller?? Maybe. Stylish? Yes. Story? Innovative But..
~mild spoilers~ I was skeptical eventhough trailer looked promosing and after watching the film I've only one line to say "technically outstanding but glibly written screenplay marred its potential." Film had all the quality to being branded as an international film however leisurely done pacing and lacking solid substance(yet innovative) shackled its repeated viewing. Coming to the story film dealt with sensitive topics and paganism. Story has many loose end which fail to connect the dots by the end, some characters were not etched out properly. Climax is pretty predictable. Cinematography in this film is on a different level which is exactly why it looks like a non-indian film along with the colour shading they opt for visually stunning scotland which is apt for dark thrillers.

Acting: Prithviraj is in his comfort zone because this genre is his forte. He perfectly played his character. Bhavana after a long time got something to perform and she did it brilliantly. Other actors like Narain ,Lena, Kpac Lalitha, Misthi & Rahul madhav done their part well. I've to appreciate the casting director for finding capable foreign actors, all the foreigners played their role with absolute brilliance. Thumps up! Songs were decent and Bgm at places remind me of deathnote series. Film should have been trimmed atleast by 20 minutes. Had good concept and great potential if used wisely. Rating: 6.3/10

Thondimuthalum Dhriksakshiyum
(2017)

Great material for short story!
Fahad is absolutely brilliant in this film otherwise an average fare. Starting right from the stealing necklace and swallowing gold the very moment he get caught he acts confidently like a professional theif. The moment he get beaten up by police then he stares at sreeja(nimisha) and question " valla aavishyam undaiyrnno" and after a petty quarrel with sreeja he smiles and says "you were sleeping and believe me I didn't steal it". That smile followed by that dialogue alone enough to figure out what kind of theif he really is, he is one heck of a cunning man and whenever he fabricate lies he oozes confidence and not only he perplex the other characters but viewer as well. Another brilliance you could see when he evoke sympathy(despite not knowing about his whereabouts and past) from spectators while getting beaten up badly and at the same time we despise him for his trick he pulled out every now n then. Probably only great actor could pull both extremes tandemly with ease. Other actors were extremely good especially Nimisha sajayan. Suraj was good but nothing exceptional to perform that could outperform his performance in Action hero biju. Story wise film is stretched or dragged at some parts and i thought climax would have compensated it however climax isn't great either to end the film on high note. Film storyline is like a butterfly effect similar to Maheshinte prathikaram however M.P had many layers and escalated into one big chaos, same cannot be say here because one happening is stretched beyond its yield limit.

+ve: Acting -ve: wafer thin plot

Not the best film I've seen this year nevertheless a watchable. Rating:7/10

Action Hero Biju
(2016)

Perhaps the best film I've seen in 2016
~mild spoilers~ Plot: Journey with a police officer and how he handles his daily petty case.

Considering the fact that the film has no story, yet it has kept me engaged throughout. Like many stated it was indeed a realistic cop film infact I couldn't agree anymore. Despite the realistic label given to film it does has its flaws like our hero Biju remind us of Bharatchandran IPS how he bashes political head, human rights and thugs, which can be ignored blindfoldedly. Film has manage to bring many socially and sensitive relevant topics like drugs, human rights etc. Many characters made their presence here and there and ended their story without much revelation, Realistic storystelling? Maybe I suppose. Thats how real life is.

Acting wise Suraj with small appearance outclassed everyother actors, best from him so far. Nivin pauly was good in parts at times couldn't bring the intensity when needed. Anu emmanuel has nothing much to do except to look pretty. Guy who sang muthe ponne should be applauded. Characters(read actors) involved in drug scene were quite good especially the actors who portrayed parents role.

Music was pretty decent IMO. I liked chiri punchiri song played towards the end and Vande matharam was pretty good. Bgm at certain portion was really good. Technical sides were good especially helly cam shot in the end reminded me of Fahad faasil's Friday(film).

Overall, film with no story line managed to engaged me that too after repeated viewings, something that many film fail to accomplish. I'll rate this film to be the best to come out this year. Worth watching! Rating:8.5/10

Villain
(2017)

Pretty decent!
Film director B.Unni has been here for very long time and yet he hasn't delivered a film which could satiate my hunger for good films(grandmaster is exception though). Same could be say about villain. I was skeptical after watching film trailer and to horror reports published on first day were mixed mostly. The biggest let down in this crime thriller is definitely its screenplay because film has close to zero thrill element and many loose end which all was juxtaposed together and made it look engaging by just one man Mohanlal. Could be say that it is his best performance since oppam however you could see character had some similarity with grandmaster's chandrasekhar like being nonchalant and calming, however director added more mystery and philosophy element to the Mathew manjooran. Acting wise its a one man show Lal and only actor who came closer to him was Manju. Most other actors had nothing to perform especially two new ladies Hansika and Raashi. I am not quite sure about what to say about vishal. Other supporting characters were as usual good.

Songs were fine so does the bgm. Technical side were pretty good except some logic defying actions.

On negative side: Script Some glibly written characters

Positive: Mohanlal Bgm Some scenes has its moments

People who are expecting drishyam, mumbai police, memories or even grandmaster might be get disappointed because it's less of an investigating thriller and more of emotional story which will caught your attention just here and there. In the end I quote"revenge is a disease". Give it a try if you are a die hard fan of actor Mohanlal.

Neram
(2013)

I steal from every movie ever made by QT-AP(now)
Above quoted summary was quite funny among credits. Neram was directed and written by Alphonse, film was his debut. Talking about movie, Neram is not fully gripping but its well narrated movie. The plot talks about a lad who taken money from a loanshark and soon find himself in a penury when he got dismissal from job and its time to reimburse because loanshark are frantically after him. To add his misery his fiancé ask for elope, police inquiry for abduct, dowry(brother in law) etc. thus he stranded into quagmire and has to vanquish all odds, later forms the crux of the story. Coming to denouement you get wonder by knowing all characters were some or another way concatenate with each other by knowing or unknowingly. Here, theme is not new but the narration is top notch. Nivin pauly as a Mathew was charming & Nazriya has nothing to perform other than being glamorous. Supporting actors were niche and done a commendable job. Newbies were fine but my personal favourite was Manik(kunju) & special mention to Simha. Shammi thilkan as S.I Tintu was fabulous and Manoj k jayan has less screen presence yet he done a brilliant job with his stylish name Rayban. Music was both melodious and peppy. Cinematography by Anand chandran was stylish & meritorious. Sometime movie made me yawning by meandering here and there though the pace was good. Dialogs were both funny and puerile. Editing was fine while it juxtaposed near to 2 hours. From technical side it surely attract horde and for others watchable.

Ayyappante Amma Neyyappam Chuttu
(2000)

Shackled by vocabulary to describe this movie in one word!
Ayyapanente amma neyappam chuttu(AANC) may be best children movie which i'd seen ever. Director came up with a credible story which is jovial & heart warming. Story is all about a two children who suffer due to their parents feud & lives separately, there after an orphan enters and how he make a desperate attempt to unite them which culminate to happy ending. Performance by all actors were exquisite but some newbies(parents) sucked big time with their dialogs(lip sync). Highlight of the film is performance which helm by three children. Amidst three children Master paul(orphan) performance was exceptional. His dialogue delivery with maturity and maneuver shows his acting calibre deftly. Supporting characters done their job subtly. Shareth is a good composer yet remain underrated in mollywood, his composition is mesmerizing (esp. Poothinkalum) and has his soul at right place. Background score was equally brilliant. Direction was good and so are the technical side. Screenplay is plus point which remain as a heart of the movie and three children performance act as an oxygen to the heart which all compel to make it a frolic-full yet endearing watch. Movie ending with happy note which delivers good message to our hasty society. Kudos to director and crew members. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Kireedam
(1989)

Heart wrenching poignant tale!
The film which made me die-hard fan of Mohanlal. Plot written by A.k.Lohithdas & directed by Sibi malayil talks about a young aspiring lad who's life became a hell (his dream seems tumbling off) when circumstance were against him & ended as a noted criminal. A.K Lohithdas scrutiny developed script given each character depth subtly without any unnecessary scene. Mohanlal as a stoic protagonist just mesmerize me with his natural acting, he is natural at his best. To my reckon, this probably may be one among those movie to unleash Mohanlal as a omnipotent actor. Its pity that Mohanlal just got special jury instead of giving best actor. Thilkan as his father was equally superb. Climax scene showing the duo chemistry was arguably best acted ever. In climax Mohanlal makes myriad of emotion and his crumbling emotion will surely evoke oodle of tears. Others supporting actors given ample support which is demanded by them. Songs by Johnson was masterpiece especially Kaneer poovinte, never a keralite can forget this song. Director Sibi easily tow all the actors performance & remain as his laborious work. Movie is juxtaposed in 140 min. Standing ovation to stalwarts like Thilkan, A.k lohithdas & Johnson for their contribution till end.

The Lunchbox
(2013)

Lunchbox is simple yet refreshing tale!
Lunchbox is 'simple chunk of our hasty life'. Plot centered around life of two who get interconnected mistakenly & all it happened in Mumbai. Story by Ritesh batra is average which remain at hovering and in between goes flip-flop. Makers had given much depth to all characters by presenting them in a gaudy shade. Climax is unusual and some may find haywire. Lunchbox follows epistolary theme which seems to be rare in Indian panorama. I heard movie getting rave reviews from all critics & appreciating for its novelty so i decided to watch it, but the movie ended by being likable fare, in between goes illogical and makes ambiguous at certain. Irrfan as a recluse nerd done a good job & Nimrat kaur as a desperate wife also done a commendable work. Nawaziddin siddique delivered a light humor by interrupting & saying 'Good morning sir' and coming with two bananas etc etc. Other supporting characters done their part deftly including aunty-ji's voice. Music didn't play vital role but BGM was soothing. Cinematography by Michael didn't opted for any gimmick & he easily captured the crowd of Mumbai. Direction was find considering its running time but at times it lapse out. Lunchbox is simple story which riveted with bitterness and other spices to make imbibing.

Runway
(2004)

Fine entertainer!
Runway is directed by veteran Joshi and scripted by duo Udaykrishna-Sibi.k.thomas. Script is good and not fully cliché as their previous flicks. The plot centers around Dileep(Unni/Paramashivam) who's character is intellectual rather than being stereotype action hero, he faces his crisis witty and wily. As usual there is a cat and mouse game, some action, little romance and emotions which all compel to make it a commercial mass masala entertainer as we seen in those telugu films. Performance wise Dileep countenance was good, Ashokan character was chafing and exasperating at times and rest of the cast like Kaviyoor Ponamma,Kavya,Indrajith,Murali and Jagathy(as a cameo) was good. Songs by Suresh peters were good. Direction wise Joshi successfully extract those ingredient which is necessary for mass movie.

+ve: ¤Dileep. ¤Songs. ¤Direction. ¤Screenplay.

-ve: ¤some of the scenes were cliché.

¤Must watch for Dileep fans and for masala moviegoers. For others: One time watch.

Amen
(2013)

Amen is experimental movie & can be seen as one among them!
Amen probably India's first ecumenical movie surely a magical movie indeed. Well i was not that impressed by the script except for the climax but i was more mesmerize how they all executed it. All the actors were performed exquisitely & here we got a new villain (Joy mathew) and he is not Siddique. Among bunch of actor Joy mathew was my best pick-up & his countenance and grudging sound was perfect. Songs by Prashant pillai were aberrant and apt which add feel to the film. Cinematography by Abhinandan ramanjum was transcended, he brilliantly captured all the beautiful scenery of mystical Kumarakom. Direction was fine but pace was stagnate and there were many slow motion which by default unnecessarily increases the running time. It could be better if it get trimmed by at least 20 min. What i liked the most among was the Aura, way they created was terrific & surely renaissance in theism will evoke up at the end when climax get revealed. Amen is ostensibly romantic satire in between which do didactic about faith in theism and gospel.

+ve: ¤Actors. ¤Songs. ¤Cinematography. ¤Direction. ¤Technical department. ¤Climax.

-ve: ¤Editing could have been better. ¤Script except climax.

¤Watch it if you like experimental movie. Amen is magical movie which revive faith in God in you.

Chaappa Kurish
(2011)

Let us appreciate the effort!
Before beginning i personally appreciate the Sameer thahir(Director) for bringing such unconventional attempt which is first in our mollywood. Coming to script-cannot claim it as a flawless but let us appreciate the effort for their audacity. Script is mediocre but what makes it more interesting and engaging is our actors and mind-blowing cinematography by Jomon.T.john. Fahad as a rookie actor shows his mettle and scintillating performance which will be remember as is best and other actors like Vineeth had done a commendable job, special mention to Remya nambeeshan, Nivedita has nothing to do much. Songs were average. What stands above all is the Climax-climax is probably the best made/executed ever and cinematography was just par excellence. Climax shots were just like real footage or like any hidden camera shots, never seen in any movie this kind of camera-work, we can easily see the Fahad vindictive expression and he had performed it meticulously and Vineeth role was his career best.

Watch out for Fahad,Jomon john camera-work and best shot climax ever.

I'll like to rate it 7.1/10

Passenger
(2009)

Simply outstanding!
Passenger directed and scripted by Ranjith sankar speaks of a persons humanity. Movie has strong cast line, Sreenivasan was main cynosure of the film and Jagathy character is more of a political despot. The movie tells the life of many villagers get endanger with jagathy political power, in attempt to save them Dileep get messed up where Sreenivasan get sucked into it being a plot driven film, and how Sreenivasan with his friends makes a desperate attempt to conquer against all odds, which ended up saving many and also by revealing to the media about conspiracy held by Jagathy behind this gambling. Passenger is a good film which can be appreciate for his novelty theme. Music by Bijibal is hummable which is played as a end credits and B.G.M is good. As a débutante work Passenger may be aloof far from a perfect, but can be praise for its simplicity and moral values which it taught.

+ve: ¤Script. ¤Performance. ¤Songs(ending credits) and bgm. ¤Direction was fine.

Must watch for those who like thought provoking movie, at least for the message which it delivers. I would rate it 7.7/10. Verdict: Good movie!

Traffic
(2011)

Transcended !
Malayalam cinema back to track after a long hiatus. Past decade was full of comedy crass & male machismo movie.Traffic by Rajesh pillai & scripted by Bobby Sanjay tells the story of many people who continue their routine life & soon unusual happens and get interlink with each other which leads to well executed climax ending up with high note. Each character has his own depth & reason to involve in this movie. Starting half was detailing every1 and soon gets tied up with each other later filled with suspense and dramatic twist and all leads to predictable climax(girl is going to be saved); but its worth a watch to see how they executed it & result will be spellbound and it also tells the value of organ donation. Overall its a brutally brilliant film culminates to overwhelming & unforgettable trip. +ve: ¤script ¤direction ¤performance ¤cinematography ¤songs(ok) ¤BGM was damn perfect!

-ve: ¤Minute flaws(car speed);easily avoidable.

Must watch before die especially for malayalam movie lovers.

Verdict:Overwhelming experience! I would like to rate it 8.6/10.

Dhoom:3
(2013)

Big boring Yawn! R.I.P logic
After watching trailer i decided to watch dis one bcoz biggies like Aamir associated with dhoom,i felt this will never disappoint me. But,after watching film what i felt that title given to aamir as Mr.Perfectionist should change to Mr.Deceptionist. Albeit its a second sequel but this one fails miserably. There are two many loophole like: Robbery scene is never shown. Entry of aamir after robbery shows how he defy gravity which ended up quite disastrously.

Performance:Aamir expression shows the artificial vindictive vengeance throughout the film. Abhishek & Uday were two buffoons, they act like idiots, katrina is only there to flirt with khan & to seduce the audience by wearing short dress. Songs were terrible & BGM looks to be copied ! Only child(siddharth) performed aptly.

+ve ¤Cinematography ¤Direction was OK.

-ve ¤Script. ¤aamir bike was rare medley of batman bike and transformer.

Faintly recommend:if you are a Dhoom aficionado watch it & for others save your precious time & money.

Mumbai Police
(2013)

Audacity and unpredictable that makes it Mumbai police.
Directed by Roshan Andrews after the debacle Casanova, scripted by deadly duo Bobby & Sanjay. One of the brilliant script in recent past by B&S as usual emotional quotient as their major backdrop and they handle it subtly, this shows their intellectual melange with meticulously written screenplay. This cop flick deviate from usual cop investigation and ended up as daringly different one. Some may deplore strongly against climax, but for me after thinking for a while i found it terrific ending. Prithviraj(Moses A) cataclysm behavior as a disguise and as confused (Moses B) both were scintillating, his performance was just tad above the script. Songs were not included but BGM was good but in chase scene it was jarring. Prithviraj & Rahman were mostly the cynosure of the film. Cinematography was good. Weakest point in the whole movie is the pace, it was done in a lethargic manner but only for 1st half. 2nd half was top-notch and engaging and make it a edge of the seat type thriller. Highly recommended for thriller aficionado. For others might not be fully delectable but it arrest and indulge the viewers on the seat.
