Every now and then I had seen this on streaming service. Its an old movie but new for me. I had wanted to watch it countless times but it never happened. Then today was the day, even after all these years waiting I was not disappointed. Gene hackman and Will smith do not disappoint.

The cast was amazing , the stunts even down tot he behavior of the cat. I loved it all. I understand a lot of people think actors get paid a lot but to me imo I am so grateful for them. They are story tellers of the highest art. They take a story of could have, would have, might be and tell it in such fine detail. Bravo to you all it was well worth the wait. I recommend it highly, it did not feel old or out of date. Still fresh and wonderful. Thank you to all involved.

I normally do not watch movies where women of color are treated horribly. The urge to turn back time and plead with the universe to change that treatment is so strong.

But what I really want to celebrate today after watching this movie is the utmost beautiful brave women in this time period and what they have done, in what they did.

This is beyond a celebration of what unity in women can accomplish. Against all odds, they persevered together to get the job done and help the world. Normally throughout my day I hope the people I meet will be descent to each other. Yet these women were super heros for months on end. These women so long ago shined like stars in the sky.

Thank you to all the amazing actors who portrayed them, with grace and dignity, a job well done.

Always wonderful to hear from Ellen. I have watched her since she first did stand up so long ago. We as women were taught to demoralize each other. If we did that we could "get a leg up", get that promotion". We would "seem" strong but honestly it was a huge weakness.

Women have come a long way but we still need to encourage each other. We can still be better to each other. If you read the news and see gossip and take it as gospel truth, you never wanted the truth to begin with, you only wanted gossip.

Ellen is a strong amazing woman. Is she flawed? Yep just like all of us. But humble and kind and ofc funny. I am so greatful I have see her shows her stand up and seen her grow over the years. It has been a pleasure. I was so happy to see this netflix special as imo it was a super treat. I surely missed her. I am very happy for her for her growth. Growth is never easy for anyone and truly it is brave to even get it started imo. I loved the show. Though I must state I havent a clue about laugh tracks etc. I laughed so why would the audience not?

Watch or dont but I am still a fan, always was a fan always will be a fan. To love someone, to appreciate them, is to do so even when they are not perfect. I believe Ellen to be a wonderful, amazing, funny strong woman. You go Ellen, take a bow, it was such a pleasure to hear you again.
