I was very disappointed in the entire first season and will not be continuing on. The budget is almost nonexistent. They try to blend OG effects, such as stop-motion, which looks just horrid. The practical effects and gore ridiculous - and not in a fun, campy way.

Speaking of effects and gore, this show has a way of building up the anticipation for the big payoff, kill, scare ... only to not actually show it, but narrate it through the cartoon comic book. Specifically, "Times is Tough in Musky Holler." You wait and wait for the baddies to get eaten by the zombies, only for there to be practically zero payoff. Also, "Skincrawlers" is absolutely wasted. In what could have been the creepiest, nastiest endings of all time (parasite leaches inside you), we get the people spitting out rubber worms.

And finally, some of the stories ... absolutely amazing premise. Such a waste of opportunity and lame story writing. Great ideas, zero execution.

What could have been an interesting documentary into the workings of a video store, the hostile takeovers of independent stores, mismanagement ... literally anything of substance ... is reduced to a 10-minute segment of the business itself.

There is zero research and slight allusions to what went down, with this once-juggernaut.

Instead, be prepared for 80 minutes of C-list, annoying celebrities telling the same story over and over and over again, for forced nostalgia ... walking wide-eyed like they've seen the second coming of Christ. We get it - the place smells like popcorn and you used to rent movies so you could make out with your teenage dates.

I also want to point out, oddly enough, no mention of their video game selection. That would have been an amazing parallel to the current GameStop fiasco.

This is a horrible, repetitive waste of time.

I'm 26-year-old and when I was about 10, there was a cartoon on Saturday mornings about some teenage kid, who whenever he ate something hot, a pepper or hot sauce, he would turn into a red talking Corvette. I'm not sure what the name of the toon was, but let me tell you, even at that age I knew the show sucked ... yet somehow even now I'd much rather watch that piece of crap than "The Batman."

The direction of this series and writing (Dear god what have you done to the Joker!?) are about as fresh and good of an idea as putting nipples on the batsuit.

I'm not really sure at what point it was deemed necessary to make every cartoon resemble Anime or why the fights and characters in this series all resemble Pokimon crap ... but seriously WB just stop it. I know you're all about the money, but now especially with the new Batman movie coming out (and it already looks dark and good) this is the time to turn it back around and make the cartoon dark and gritty again. Get Conroy and Hamill back while you still can. Leave the Japimation card dueling, wrestling, hong-kong fooey crap cartoons for the kiddies.
