The Last American Virgin
(1982)

A Truly Great Movie
This is one of my all-time favorite movies. I saw it as a pre-teen and liked it then and always had to rent it whenever I had the chance. I was so in love with Lawrence Monoson. I loved him in Friday the 13th-The Final Chapter and my crush on him grew throughout the 80's. The great thing about this movie is it's the ultimate teen movie. It has everything...sex, drugs, rock & roll! The soundtrack to this movie is incredible and I've searched for it for years with no luck. I love how Gary was such a nice guy who truly cared for Karen and yet she chose to be with Rick who messed around on her and treated her badly. Sure Steve Antin is hot and any girl would be attracted to him, but Gary was cute and caring. He did a lot for Karen and I hated how the movie ended. I always cry at the end and wish I could have someone love me the way Gary loved Karen. This movie is a great love story for the 80's. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it. It is finally available on DVD so check it out.

Beverly Hills, 90210
(1990)

Best Show Ever!
This was my all time favorite show. From the first episode to the last I was there with them. Shannen Doherty is my all time fave. Brenda was the best female character and I never get when people say Brenda was a bitch. She was nice and sweet and down to earth. Kelly was the slut who stole her boyfriend. Brenda should have come home on the final episode and got back with Dylan. But the characters just swapped partners all the time. It was kind of sick in some ways. I wouldn't want to sleep with someone my friend had, gross! They had some really good guest stars too like Jason Wiles and Jamie Walters. I felt like I knew the characters and wish I could have them back on TV. I'm waiting for all the episodes to come out on DVD so I can watch my favorite episodes again. Probably my fave is high school graduation. I cried and loved all the flashbacks.

Reckless
(1984)

A great forbidden love story
I was still in Junior High when I saw this movie so it was kinda risqué to me. I thought Aidan Quinn was beautiful, especially in the shower scene! And I was already a fan of Daryl Hannah from Splash. I like the whole wrong side of the tracks love story idea. I felt bad that no one liked Johnny just cause he was poor and had a bad homelife. He was a really nice guy and he loved Tracy. The sex scenes were very good and very realistic. Daryl Hannah is one lucky girl to have gotten to play those scenes. The soundtrack is great and I wish I could purchase it. The "Kids in America" scene is awesome and ends with Tracy and Johnny in a pool. But the best scene is at the end when they play Bob Segers "Roll Me Away". I love that song!

Breaking All the Rules
(1985)

A real cool movie!
I loved this movie when I was younger. I haven't seen it in years, but would love to see it again. I was hoping it would come out on DVD. I loved Carolyn Dunn and her cool hair! And the lead guys were so hot especially Thor Bishopric. Anyone who lives for amusement parks and craves that one last day of freedom before school starts should check this movie out. I have never seen any of the actors in other movies so I don't know if anyone else knows who they are, but the acting was fairly good for such a low budget movie. I didn't like the so-called bad guys in the film, but they did add some comic relief. I also liked the final scene when they played the classic 80's hit "Let the Music Play" by Shannon.
