Ted: Loud Night
(2024)
Episode 6, Season 1

A drop from 30,000 feet
Have ya ever been on a flight cruising along like nothing could get better? Like no crying babies, comfy seat, bag of chips and full can of Coke good?

Then ya start to feel it. A little rumble here, a little overhead bin shake there.... then BAM! The oxygen masks drop, the engines fall off and all of a sudden you're praying to God for just one miracle to keep you alive cause you already know you're going to hell.

That's what this episode was like for the first season. All season I'm like laugh laugh laugh then that BAM! Drops on my face like a sledgehammer to the nads. "We need to discuss these important issues that we think are important due to our superior Hollywood morality." P. S. Thanks to Boeing for making this illustration so effective.

Lake Alice
(2017)

Imagine if Hallmark made a horror movie
Outside of that the act wasn't great and the scenes were cut together in a weird way. To it's credit I didn't know who or what the killer was till very late in the movie. That killer didn't pull any punches which was a delight to see.

I understand when bad things happen that a character is going to be upset but working a little harder at not making that over the top ridiculous would be helpful. You can almost feel the director say, be more scared and do crazy breathing.

I have to put this at the end as I don't really have anything else to add but I have to meet this 600 character minimum. I just keep typing until I hit the goal.

Old
(2021)

That was a mess
It's a bit like if someone wrote a script for intentional bad acting. You want to keep giving it a chance but it just keeps slapping you in the face with goofy turn after goofy turn.

Halloween Kills
(2021)

An incoherent mess
If a movie was given an award for ADHD while at the same time completely missing what it's supposed to be then Halloween Kills would win Best Picture. Much like this movie I don't even know where to begin or end. The writing is a mess, the actors aren't sure if they are supposed to funny or serious and it's mostly shot like an episode of The Office. It's just bad.

Without Name
(2016)

I'm now a certified surveyor.
I feel like this lesson in surveying could have been better given in a YouTube video.

Masters of the Universe: Revelation
(2021)

Politically Correct nonsense turd
A golden treasure from the past turned into a lead turd of political correctness and poor animation. It uses He-Man of old as vehicle for the writer's social and political message as opposed to creative story writing.

Unhinged
(2020)

To those that didn't like the movie....
You'd better hope I don't see you on the street. 😄

The Seventh Day
(2021)

The story wasn't bad but....
... the dialogue was the sword through the heart. Very choppy and executed as the if the goal was to string together a thousand A to B connections. It just didn't flow like you would expect.

Superman & Lois
(2021)

Got really political really quick
So much politics. From the actors playing characters to the weekly story line. I just wanted good entertainment, I didn't realize it was going to be a preach fest.

Chad
(2021)

Well, that was really really really bad
That's really all I can say. They're isn't one bit of redeeming value in this show. Satan couldn't put a positive spin on this with all the lies in hell. It's so bad.

The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two
(2020)

The magic gave way to polical correctness
The magic of the first movie is missing in the sequel due to political correctness and some really bad acting.

Ghosts of War
(2020)

I was fully on board until....
I was very much enjoying this until the last 20 minutes when it got just stupid and political. I don't need to be preached to by a movie.

Tremors: Shrieker Island
(2020)

Predator, Jurassic Park and Tremors in one movie
^ That pretty much sums up the entire movie. Entertaining and great escapist fun.

Evil
(2019)

Pretty good until it got political
I was enjoying the show until at the end of the second episode it went completely sideways by getting political. We have enough of that everywhere every day. I don't need it in my entertainment.

Supernatural: Last Holiday
(2020)
Episode 14, Season 15

This ranks very high on the better episode scale
There's a lot to like, love and laugh in this episode. My favorite things were: 1. It felt like a new beginning episode with lots of secrets and tidbits to be opened. 2. I was very happy the Castel was not in this episode. He has always been the poison in the pudding for me in the Supernatural universe. Never been a fan.

Supernatural: Wishful Thinking
(2008)
Episode 8, Season 4

Umm, how do you not give this episode a 10?
There's isn't too much I can say about this episode without giving something away but I can say I wish there were more like it.

Family Guy: The Movement
(2020)
Episode 14, Season 18

Turd
Sometimes in life you run into turds. This episode was a turd. A turd wrapped in the flag of faux activism. Usually Family Guy takes a two sided view of things but this episode was just about having a victim mentally.

Star Trek: Picard: The End Is the Beginning
(2020)
Episode 3, Season 1

Keeps getting worse somehow
Whiny characters where Picard is more akin to Mister Rogers than Picard we have known.

Star Trek: Picard: Maps and Legends
(2020)
Episode 2, Season 1

Surprisingly bad acting
Maybe it's the writing or maybe just bad acting. Whatever the case it's definitely putting a damper on the show and making it hard to watch. You can almost see the director telling the actors how and where to move. Stiff and very forced.

Terminator: Dark Fate
(2019)

The one huge mistake
The biggest mistake of this entire movie for a domestic audience was for the first 10+ minutes to be in Spanish. Had that not been the case it would have done much better in the US.

Dracula
(2020)

Completely unnecessary
Same characters, same basic storyline and same setting we've seen a thousand times before. This is a story that didn't need to be retold. No value is to be had here.

Supergirl: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part One
(2019)
Episode 9, Season 5

Juvenile and techno babble writing
The idea was great but the execution landed flat. The dialogue was full of juvenile techno babble that was made worse by the actors spitting out their lines like they were in a speed read contest.

Doctor Who: Vincent and the Doctor
(2010)
Episode 10, Season 5

No better individual episode in all my TV years
Possibly the best individual episode of any TV show ever. Every turn of this episode was a 10 from beginning to near end and it was all topped off with an 11 final scene in Paris.

Solver
(2017)

The movie version of an escape room
While it's basically the movie version of an escape room, it's fun and has interesting if fairly predictable ending.

Safe
(2018)

A premise that's kind of silly
The main characters daughter is missing and the police are like, "What evs". Meanwhile, there's a tape people are willing to kill and kidnap over for no good reason. Contrived.
