The Sky's the Limit
(1943)

Error in the film
The film was a fun for the eyes and ears. The opening sense of the film is in error. The shooting down of the Japanses plane was to be a Zero. The plane is a biplane, not a Zero. I truly like black and white film. It adds to the lighting technique. Fred Astire is a master at dance and song. He makes any co-star shine. The movie is a blessing compare to the movies make today. I am glad that these type of film are saved. Thank you to great channels as AMC and TNT to continuing to show these movies. I found it hard to go to the movies today, without problems. Watching the old movies at home is a blessing. Thank you for website like IMDb to research the old movies.

The Singing Marine
(1937)

Enjoyable movie to see!
The Singing Marine is great example of the 30's musicals. I enjoyed the music and songs. Dick Powell is in great form as the singing marine. One goof is the radio call letters was KRWB, but is in New York. It should start with W. The songs is enjoyable to listen to and keeps in your head. I rate the movie a 7 out of 10. The plot of the movie is silly in today's themes but it does add a change of basis. We could use more of this type of movies today. I like the songs of the 30's and 40's. You could understands the songs. Again, great songs and a enjoyable movie. It should be shown on TV more often. We need more of this type of songs again.

Them!
(1954)

We need more bug spray!
One the best 1950"s movies of science fiction made. The special effects was believable. The acting also was above average for a B-movie. James Whitmore and James Arnest kept the movie goers on the edge of their seats. The ants were excellent. The sounds made by the ants, I will always remember it. The whole atmoshpere of sound and visual effects, the desert, the Los Angles sewers added to the film. The use of humor with the drunk in the Hospital was fun. The film didn't have the gore that current "creature movie" have. The gore was not missed. Please keep these type of movie for future generation. Truly enjoy it! Love these ants!

It Came from Beneath the Sea
(1955)

Less Love, more monsters
The special effects rescues some of the plot. The love plot can be remove and we want more octopus's. The attack on the Golden Gate Bridge was the highlight of the film. Ray Harryhausen is a joy to watch his special effect. Yes, compare to today's computer effects Rays seems simple. But I think that his effects was more fun to watch. Using simple stop action, it must have taking patience to complete. Sometime I was hoping the octopus's would win. The movie is fun to watch and better than Japanses' Monster movies. Thank you to Ray Harryhausen for his special effects. I view him as the Godfather of Monsters. I always look for his Films.

The Producers
(1967)

The funniest movie I seen next to IT's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, World.
the Producers is the funniest movies I seen in a Long Time. Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder are the perfect comedy team. They play off each other in perfect timing. The other actors are added to the laughs. Kenneth Mars as the author of the Play makes the audience believable. Dick Shawn makes a Hilter character we can laugh at. There was laughter from the start to the end. The sense where the opening of the play with the dancing SS Troop with the look of the audience is the greatest. Laughter just abounds with the whole movie. Mel Brooks music is the funniest. Just a great movie. I would watch it every time I see it on TV. Thank you AMC.

DC 9/11: Time of Crisis
(2003)

A movie every American should see!
This movie showed the strength of our government during a major crisis. The movie showed President Bush and his cabinet at their best. The movie was written from actual transcripts after the attack. It is a shame that the movie didn't received any PR. I saw it on HBO and then it was gone. No one on any radio talk shows mentioned it. Everyone talked about Farenheit 911, which was a trash of the events of 911. It was false and a put down of the government. I believe that schools should show DC 9/11. It showed the fast reaction of our government. Also the many hard decisions that had to be made by President Bush. It also showed the reaction of the Bush's Family. I am buying a copy of the movie!

Marine Raiders
(1944)

Truly enjoyed the movie. Pat O'Brien was great.
Great movie, true to history as I have read. I am a history buff and have read World War II history. We need more movies of this value today. We need more praise of military today. I feel pride while watching this movie. Alway enjoy Pat O'Brien movies. The music score was a plus to this movie. History was followed to the true events. See the website for Marine Raiders. We must be proud of our Marine Raiders. Truly enjoyed this type of movies. Hollywood doesn't seem to produce this type of movie today. Maybe Hollywood should view the movies of the 1930's and 1940's. I enjoyed watching AMC and TBS for the old movies. Movies like Marine Raiders makes my Day.
