'Karthikeya' is a decent mystery suspense thriller. but there is not so much of gripping suspense in this film.movie plot was good but execution is not very interesting. Actually it was a mystery thriller but director moreover concentrated on other scenes like love,family attachments, comedy with friends etc. It was director Chandoo first attempt.he tried a genre film with as usual Telugu entertainment elements that was the main problem of this film. Finally these both sides he failed.

some logic mistakes has been happen in this film.How was the journalist dairy reached to his wife after his death and police death sequence is one the most important sequence in this film but there is no explanation in the end how it was happen.then beginning showed Nikhil zodiac sign was Scorpio, at the end Thanikella Bahrain told his zodiac sign was Aries. then elevated hero characterization in the beginning. he realized about the mystery after 65% of the film completion and reacted 80% completion of the film.So very late reaction of Karthikeya.

except direction and screenplay work film plot and technical values are good. visually good in some scenes,especially flashback story telling scenes. bgm score and art work is well. Nikhil performance is good.

Finally a good attempt, worth a watch.

just 1 time watchable for Vikram,not for shankar sir. visuals are stunning, everything is perfect visuals,songs,art work, production values. but the major mistake is content missing in this film. screenplay,story and editing.. this 3 things are awful in this film. lengthy fights more than 10 minutes. first half was going like very so so. second half was good from last 40 minutes.. screenplay was not very gripping. except visuals and brand names there is no content. then it was not shankar sir style of film. just forget 1 second vikram,PC sri ram,Ar rehman , shankar. definitely you feel it was bore content. shankar tried to make something different but missed soul in this film. villains motivations are not strong. we know from starting who is the main villain in this film. but shankar sir felt I think it was the secret in this film.

I really appreciates vikram sir for the life time performance who given in this film. this character was only suitable for vikram. Emmi jackson, santhanam performance is good.

One of the best movie in Mahesh Babu career. After 'Okkadu' movie Gunasekhar and Mahesh Babu worked together. Won 5 nandi awards, at the same time got commercial success and got positive critics reviews.

very massive opening scene for Mahesh Babu..His performance is awesome in emotional scenes and as well as fight scenes.Praksash Raj and Saritha characterization also well in this film. story was simple,but screenplay,story narration,characterization,art work,background score everything executed well. especially Thotta Tharani art work and stunt sequences.

Gunasekhar is the most sensible director in Telugu. He given back to back blockbuster hits to Mahesh Babu. Okkadu and Arjun movies changed Mahesh career graph to high level.

1 - Nenokkadine is a trend setter film in Telugu film industry.. But it was biggest disaster in Telugu,people did not received as a great film. because they have been never seen before this kind of psychological thriller in Telugu that is the main reason to get mixed talk.. but I recommended to watch this film who loved cinema and expecting different films in Telugu.

hats off to Sukumar sir for handled this kind of script in Telugu, then Mahesh Babu for accepting this kind of script.

Goutham (Mahesh Babu) is a rock star, one night after his stage show he chased Antonio Rosarius (Kelly Dorji) and killed him. After he surrounded to the police station,that time TV reporter Sameera (Kriti Sanon) telecasts a video. that video reveals the truth. Goutham (Mahesh Babu) fighting with his imaginary character. He suffered with Interpretation Disorder, which blurs his capability of differentiating reality and imagination. He feels about his parents are killed by someone and they also trying to kill him. That time Nasser given some clue about his parents death. Then he was going to London to find who tried to kill him ,for what? why should they killed his parents? Is he finds his past and who taken revenge or not,it was the main story of 1.

Audience has slight confusions at first half ,because common man never expect this kind of story line,that is the problem to get mixed talk and boring 20 minutes of Goa sequences.But interval sequence you will really enjoy this film. Its a edge of the seat thrilling scene. second half was going like a Hollywood movie, not like our routine Masala and Jaffa comedy movies. Songs slightly disturbed when movie was going interestingly. Otherwise its a well executed thriller in Telugu. actually its a simple revenge story line but executed well with gripping screenplay,its did a magic on the screen.

Mahesh Babu once again superb performance after his 'Athadu' movie, some scenes he looks like Hollywood actors Matt Damon, Tom cruise. No one can assume on this role without Mahesh Babu. A descent performance by Mahesh Babu son 'Gautham' and Kriti Sanon. Superb performance by Nasser, no one can expect his character in this movie. Others performance okay.

Technical Aspects Ratnavelu is the real hero of this film. superb cinematography and lighting especially first fight sequence and second half of London sequence. DSP bgm also played a key role in this film. Art department also worked well.
