Star vs. the Forces of Evil
(2012)

It's Gonna Get a little Weird, it's Gonna get a little Wild!
After watching the first two episodes of Star vs The Forces of Evil, I can easily say I want more. I really like this show, and it is just what Disney Channel needs to help boost its animated Lineup. A mix of Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, and JUST A PINCH of Ren and Stimpy in there too, Star vs The Forces of Evil delivers beautiful animation, good characters, and a pretty straightforward plot that's easy to follow. Along with some really great jokes, and good humor all around, it is an insanely fun show to experience, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to add another fun Animated Show to their lists.

Also the theme song is definitely one of the Catchiest in awhile aside from Steven Universe's. I've been humming it for the past few days, not sure when I'll stop But in any case, I will continue to watch Star battle the Forces of Evil, and hopefully it continues to have a strong showing like it did in Episodes one and two. I know I will be along for the dimensional ride to see!

Galavant
(2015)

If you like Monty Python and Princess Bride, Catchy Songs, and Overall a Fun Time. This is for you!
I came on here to see how Galavant was being received and to be honest I am quite shocked... there seems to be negativity and the positivity towards the show seems to be bunked down by people not finding the reviews helpful.

I understand Galavant isn't for everyone, it's crude, it has curse words, the characters can be mean spirited, but if you know what Galavant is really a love letter to, it makes perfect sense I love the songs, they're really well done, Alan Menken does a superb job with the scores and the lyrics are from the guy who did the Lyrics for Tangled, so no wonder they're so catchy.

Galavant is a story that in one hand is a satire and a wonderful comedy and on the other has some actually emotional moments if you care enough to see them. And yeah, I get it if it isn't for you, and I understand if it turns you off. However, it doesn't to me. Galavant is something right up my alley. I appreciate what they're doing. If you don't then that's fine. But some of the harsh criticism I've seen sees a little extreme. One Star reviews especially.

Yeah the comedy is lewd and not for everyone, but for people who appreciate musicals, some good comedy, and the classics like Monty Python and The Princess Bride, this is a show for you, and I will be continuing on. It definitely doesn't deserve one star reviews, that's for sure... even if you aren't a fan, there is FAR worse out there to me.

Black Jesus
(2014)

Nothing to get upset about
Black Jesus is nothing to be upset about, and yet Hardcore Religious Freaks will.

The show is funny, and I got a good few laughs out of it. It's humor isn't for everyone, but you can tell unlike some Live Action Adult Swim Shows, this one has effort in the writing, the casting, and uses the Location to it's fullest. It was a good Pilot that made me want to see more.

It's a good way to show that it's OK to laugh at certain things, especially Religion. Black Jesus is Harmless, and I will continue to watch it. I think if Jesus Christ were here, he'd learn to take a good rib at himself, so other people should too. People will still complain and say negative things, but I will just take it as what it is, something that can be enjoyed, laughed at, and not taken in a harmful way. It's not a show meant to attack religions, it's not a show meant for Children clearly, so in the end, it's just harmless fun to me.

Smoke, Drink, Chill, and don't get so worked up over it. Black Jesus is a Comedy I can't wait to see more of.

Steven Universe
(2013)

Don't Listen to the Negativity
This is my Favorite New Cartoon. Hands down. I have not hated a single Episode of the so far 20 that have been Produced. Some early reviewers dropped out due to it looking or appearing stupid or it sending a "Bad Racial Message". These things couldn't be more ridiculous to me.

Steven Universe has some of the best animation I have seen in any Cartoon, it isn't Avatar, The Last Airbender level, but it is a beautiful Cartoon to look at. Some people have said the Characters are "Annoying" or "Ruin" the show. Steven is the most real Child I have ever seen in media. He acts like a child. He's not supposed to be perfect, he's supposed to be a bit annoying, that's what a child is. No child is perfect, and Steven's lack of perfection make him a huge relation to about any child. In the same light, none of the Gems, or characters in this show are perfect, some may have a perfection complex, but are not Perfect themselves, again, another great Dynamic.

The show tells a wonderful story, building even the tiniest of Side Characters and giving them depth and making you want to see them again, this is something people forget in Cartoons of today, but are starting to remember. The Cartoon is not just the main characters, a good supporting Cast does a world of Good, and the ones in Steven Universe do the same, and it makes you want to see more of them. It also makes you interested in the story, about Steven and his Gem and how exactly he fits into the team (Not a Spoiler, shown in previews of the show). And all in all you just want to see what each new episode brings.

Rebecca Sugar is a delight, she knows how to create a world, characters, AND songs, and she showed that in Adventure Time, and I am glad that this show gets the praise it deserves, and yes, it has been renewed for Season 2, and I cannot wait.

To the bad reviewers, your opinion. To the people who haven't seen it yet, I cannot recommend this show enough to you. This is a Fantastic Show, with Fantastic varying characters, and a mysterious back-story that will keep you interested even more, as you follow along on Stevens Journey.

I believe in Steven, and I hope you do as well.
