The Librarians
(2014)

Enjoyable
So I remember watching the first Librarian movie. Not sure if I ever finished the whole movie or not. I do recall enjoying its subtle cheesiness humor amongst historical points. So I decided to give this a shot.

Beginning of the first season was rough. The cheesiness was dry at best, but gets better per episode. Christian Kane's role relentlessly goes right on the verge of "Damn it Hardison!" just as he snaps out of it, like trying to break the a behavioral tick of some sorts. You almost expect him to say "it's got a very distinct..." at times. Yet his character, while mostly the same tough guy Elliot role he played in Leverage, is always refreshed in his genius moments.

Rebecca RoRomijn on the other hand takes quite some time to get use to. Her first fight seen makes you stop and think, "She was a bad ass in X-Men, this is the best she can do?!" But reminded of what this show is, you learn to let it go. Still, she just doesn't seem to pull off the military Colonel background that well. It just doesn't fit her.

Anyhow, I love the stories. I love the historical references, just wish they would be a little more "simpler" when explaining the historical value of their dilemmas at hand. There's good, clean humor and lots of actors and actresses that are well known. I just started the second season and things seem a little more serious and structured to a continuous plot. I am definitely hooked.

Iconoclast
(2012)

Omg ...No!
This was the worst fan made piece of crap I've ever seen. The first 10 minutes of the movie is the same scene and line repeated over and over. There is no set up to explain what the story line is about (because there is no story.) I eventually got to the point where I just started skipping through the rest of the movie. Only to find that it just gets worse and that the same dialogue from the beginning of was still on repeat... I mean repeated.

This is just a bunch of people, who never seemed to grow out of their D & D/goth stage. Dressed up in scantly, in leather and robes, trying to put on a show. I've seen better performances at a renaissance fair.

Momentum

Sequel?
First off, it was nice to see Olga Kurylenko in a lead role. I have been somewhat of a fan since seeing her in Hit-man. The character she portrayed in this film was was not what I was expecting. But I was not disappointed at all.

Although, the action and fight scenes did not really play out to their full potential, it wasn't all drawn out too long like most movies these days. It was still worth watching. They kept the movie focused on what was important.... THE STORY and plot.

The background of the lead character could give way to another "Bourne"-type franchise. And giving the way the movie ended, I am hoping to see this story continue and hopefully progress into something better.

Dark Matter
(2015)

No Contact
Had much optimism for this show. I am now waiting for its demise...

The show is already on its 4th episode, and nothing ever happens, The story line could be much further along if they'd stop dragging out each episode with useless and pointless drama. Episodes three and four could've actually been combined into one episode and been a LITTLE more exciting... kinda.

They have set up so many cliffhangers in the story and leave them hanging out to dry and forgotten. I have never seen a show that's so slow and boring move so fast.

There is no direction due to lack of explanation of anything, anyplace or anyone to get a grasp on what the hell is really going on all together. At this point, I'd rather bore myself by watching 2001: Space Odyssey
