I think I remember seeing this film on t.c.m. Years ago in 2d,but,with the 3D version all those gray and light shades, typical of black and white noir, now it's sculpted shades of gray. We investors have gotten our copies earlier. It took 2 years to have this Abbot and Costello classic repaired. This was their first feature in color too. I think it was inspired when Lou Costello was reading the fairy tale to his daughter. It was decided to make it more for kids than adults. So both Comedians had to hold back on a lot of stuff. I remember when I first saw it at the old paramount theater in the early 60s in Texarkana Texas, now the Perot arts and entertainment center. I don't clearly. I have been waiting for it since 2015,hoping it would be eventually put on DVD. Three month earlier that is when I found out that Kino Lorber was offering pre order. Now this two tone technicolor print is more pink tinted than orange. Maybe that was the way it ended up being restored .It's lucky that it existed. I had adjusted my color t.v set's tint towards the green side, at 24-still some scenes had those pink tint. The female star in this film,Eleanore Boardman.,I made some mistakes about her. I thought she was married to Clarence Brown. I got that wrong it was King Vidor. I thought she quit the business in the early 30's .no, her last film was in 1935 that was produced by her second husband. This was her first talkie,not the black n white film she did with john Gilbert. She plays a women who was sold into marriage by her father,which was originally played by. Josef Swickard,. That scene was cut out of the film. Now I discovered that the screen play writers were social liberals and wanted to exposed the German and British controlled Africa back in 1913 and the mistreatment Natives. Humanitarian actor Jean Herscholt.played a cruel German plantation owner who has enslaved Africans. The scene in which a black women who had an affair with him and got pregnant and she chasing after him for food for her baby. He just ignores her.when a British Major,played by Claude. Flemming with another British higher up is observing the ghastly scene,there reaction is directed against the women begging for food,That's how bad things were .You also have a white actor who possibly plays a black African,although he looked more biracial. His second would be the later Frenchman's creek. Originally the Aussie censors had removed the difficult honeymoon sequence,cause they thought it was insulting marriage and it contained a medium shot of Jean Herscolt grabbing Eleanore's breast. This scene survived in some fragments and was put back on with the original dialog,They also borrowed some other scenes for this. In the party sequence where Jean is introducing Eleanore to the people he invited,most of the British and German soldiers hate him,You hear the same music that was used in the technicolor party sequence in Hell's Angels. I also learned that the same set were used in the later Golden dawn.at least that is what the narrator stated in the audio side although it was claimed that it was digitally restored. Originally it was chemically restored. It looked the same way that the original Dr x looked before that was that was digitally restored. This makes it a better film look than let's say the king of jazz. Originally only 3 reels existed in the U. C. L. A. with the complete disc. The complete film was found in Australia.the menus include a short about the person who found the feature film and encouraged the restoration.then the interview of a couple who owned the print and were film and projectors enthusiast. It also includes gallery that explain Tiffany films.also has poster form the film and advertisement. For serious classic film fans it is worth seeing. 05/11/22.

For years i would watch the none restored Panavision version on t.c.m for years i would hear that the positive prints had water damage and that it could not be restored. Then I heard rumors that the water damage is not that bad.then i hear rumors that it could be restored,but , it could cost up to 1million to 2 million dollars. The restored version is finally out. Now I know what the expense would of cost for a chemical restoration. As in the restoration of it, the film did have some damages and water spots. It turned out there was a three strip negative of the three films .It was in good shape .That would equate to 9 strips of film for a chemical restoration. That explains the prohibitive cost. Thanks to Dave Strohmair. And Tom March with the less expensive,but, still expensive digital restoration ,they preformed a successful operation.the picture quality looks great. The scene where KarlHeinz Bohem sit on the left side of the screen and Lawrence Harvey on the right side ,as their character are writing history of a royal family ,played by Oscar Homolka,in the palace at the German town where the real bothers Grimm lived, exteriors were shot in the actual town, the smile box and the cleaned up image makes the sets look right .I was kind of disappointed that time Warner did not include the curtains,but, that was just a little thing. The other cinerama travelogs were owned by Cinerama ink .So they could add the curtains. The dragon scene was far more effective seen in the curve Cinerama,as the dragon went after buddy hackett,while cowardly Knight,Terry Thomas waited outside of the cave. It looks like that some of the cast ,that was in ,It's a mad,mad ,mad ,world, Showed up in this film ,including Arnold. Stang ,as Rumpelstiltskin. The overture music and intermission music was slightly different than the turner print As I said it was a real miracle that it was finally fixed. Although this print is a lot better than the scratched up Cinecolor version, it is only 78 minutes. The Film Detective should have honestly advertised this way. I don't know why R. K. O released a slight edited print. Unless this surviving print was the reissue that Classic films corporation released and when Cinecolor bought the rights that is when they only uses the two color components. In this version when John ,Collins, Escape from pirate ship is slightly edited. The Scene in which Serafina shows john he Castinette dance is slightly edited. The Frank Morgan bath tube sequence is eliminated. The first half of the Dancing finale ,the first part has been edited out..In spite of this it's better than nothing. By common since it should of been turned into powder by now .The color are very realistic and not garish ,like trial from the lonesome pine. This might have been from the darker colors and white back ground that they used for the sets. This movie ,unlike traditional 3 color technicolor shorts at the time ,bright and positively garish. I suspect that some of the reddish tint on some of the dark scenes, like The time Serafina was helping her Juannito escape, might be stemming from some difficulties Pioneer had with shooting the colors. It is nerveless a better print,form the beginning,where the dance Master ,Collins, is teaching his student in Boston in the 1820's the waltz ,the light none color of the walls , to where Serafina is begging her Alchalde father to not to hang him. Steffi Dunno portrays the daughters of the Mayor ,in her Hungarian accent disguised as a Spanish accent ,is one of the few films in which she was the lead. Victor Varconi playing the fired Monterey Captain using his own Austrian accent as the Spanish accent ,too. Frank Morgan is great as the Mayor of the Spanish town. He act the same way as always he act in films ,befuddled. There is a short on the history of Technicolor. There is also a discussion on the film. The release did not do well. Jock Whitney was hoping to use Fred Astaire,Imagine if the studio decide to use Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers,in which she would have grown back her auburn hair and used that, it would of demanded a better script and bigger budget. It would have been taken care of too, staying in 3 colors. There is a commentary,where it look like they are getting offend ,a little at the portrayal of the Spanish Indians. Certainly the 1937 Romana portrayed the Spanish Indian better and in sympathy. If your like me and been a classic film fan for years ,you except the past in it's good and bad. The commentator ,possibly, was expression criticism to make sure that no one would think they were bigots,out of fear of losing a job,maybe. This is worth the buy and if you got your VHS and DVD Cinecolor version ,keep it s,since it's 83 minutes and to compare. Film detective did a great job in it's restoration. I have heard about it for years and wondering why it has never been on T. V. Zeus a on line service for classic films on DVD had it. The description stated that it had not been seen on T. V since the 70's .The print was not broadcast quality. It wasn't bad .It look like a bit worn 35mm or 16mm. It does need remastering. Was it good ? It wasn't that bad .It was changed for the film. It was an Alan Jones vehicle so it had to be centered around him. For example the song,"Falling in love with love, was originally sang by Adrianna,in the theatrical version to express her frustration of Anitpholus ,her husband neglecting her. In the film version Alan Jones sing the song to Rosemary lane to express his lover for her. The hays code possibly was the reason why the Courtesan and the bordello was eliminated. What replaced it in the film version was a bar with gambling instead. Comedian of r.k.o films Joe Penner portrayed Dromio of Ephesus and Syracuse with fair humor. What I also like about this film is the song ,"This Can't be love,sang by Rosemary Lane, in a cheerful way Doris Day sang it when it was adapted in the film version of jumbo. Other parts of the story was change from the play. It was vague the reason why Ephesus did not want any one from Syracuse to be in their city and why the cities officials wanted to execute a stranger for being in their city. In the film version there is an excuse. Ephesus had just destroyed Syracuse in a war. The captured ,played by,Samuel s. Hinds, was going to be executed. I.m.d.b. Had just a mishap that I had to start all over again. It has been April since the 3D archives have restored this silver age Kung fu classic. It's a sequel to Dynasty. The project has been financed by 3D fans from Kick-Starters through the generous donation of fans,3D fans that is. The first time I saw it was at the martin twin theater, where I lived in 82. The print was good, but, time has not been too kind to it. The 3D archives got it on time. There are some sequences, very quick and short, that just could not be improved by color correction. Like the sequence in which Dr. Choa, played by Shiusen Leong, was at the cave creating his bombs to protect his village from the possible bandit, the tints had shifted to a degree on the pink side. A rape sequence in which one of the girls that thrown behind a bale of hay as the bandits raped her. The color had shrunk way down. These sequences are very short, the rest of the film the color correction is well-balanced. As I said, this is a sequel to dynasty. The same props that were used as a Buddhist temple, Buddhist nunnery. Guess who plays the bad guy again, as he did in Dynasty? The Eunichow gay character, or suggested it from Dynasty, now the leader bandit, played by Ying Bai. The actor who played the older Buddhist in dynasty, Chang Ma, now plays one of the younger bandits. In this film, the bandits had raids the village in the begging and attack all the virgins. Under such customs, no man want them. They end up having to go to a Buddhist convent and become a nun and learn self-defense. How oppressive that was back then. Now another village gets prepared to possibly defends them self. A young artist played by. Cheng Ku, is madly in love with a village girl, played by Hisiang Chin Hang, whom he is painting a picture of her. She is in love with Dr Chow. She and Dr Chow manged to convinced her parents, the father played by Ying Lee, to let them get married by coming up with an Idea that she needs therapy using acupuncture for her breast. You never see how Mr chow does it, but, he gets revenge. He manages to find the bandits, you don't see how he does it, to tell them they could raid the village, but, he wants the girl. This is during the wedding of the couple that the bandits raid their village. This is when the women have been sent to the Buddhist nuns and some other village for protection. The men stay and fight. Before the village daughter's father dies after throwing the bombs on the bad guys and missing the leaders and the others, Ying Bai wants to know who created the bombs. The young women and the daughter all in the convent, after second thought the leader allows them to stay. The Kung Fu in 3D is interesting. The scene in which a sword hits one of the villagers just flies off the screen. The leading nun refuses to fight the bandits as the other nuns are force to fight them, until she has to deal with Ying Bai. He ends in a hair-raising end. The 3d cinema photography was good, although there were some baked in problems due to the nature of the 3d cameras, it was minor. Also, a part of this show included three 3D shorts. Two made in 1953, one made in 73. The first one is in the i.md.b.please turn to that title. The 53 Lippert version. Now back to this. The other short is a strip tease one called Persian slave Market. It shows three different women in black n white doing a strip tease to Beep Bop. The latter tow, one in a 1890s costume and the Arabians costume reveals themselves topless. The last one, Two men from Tick ridge, was more of a test of the 3D cameras A little plot about a man who made it as a film maker in Hollywood and invited his friend to see his new movie. There are some mistakes that the I. M. D. B. made. It was not in color. It's in black and white. Furthermore, it was shot in 3d. The information does not include these facts. This should not be confused with universal's 1954 short that was not in 3d. Dolores fuller introduces the audience. To the anaglyph 3D glass and how to on in her under ware. This when it turns into double image for 3D. This i the first time it was converted from a fading anaglyph Eastman color negative to Polaroid, showing the black n white better. It's the antics of a male fraternity getting their initiator into the girls' fraternity to steal their pants. Their fraternity initiator looks like a dork. As the guy sneaks into the fraternity, you see the 3D affects. One of the women student talking on the phone in the hallway as she's swishing bubble from a bottle as he talks to her boyfriend about pros and superlatives. The men outside have to hide when they see the women students come from a dance. One boyfriend give his Sweet heart a pin, and they are engaged. The female students get into a pillow fight, only to discover their pants missing from the dresser drawer. Dolores plays one of the students who come back from a dance, not much of a role. This is the kind of movie that Ed woods would make, although the 3d would have slowed his film making down. The runt gets caught, but, his friends manage to rescue him with the aid of the students' fiancé. Adequate 3d. Good acting Now back to shogun.11/24/21.

It involves dopey cops, played by Alan Adrian and Sean Elliot, who sees Debbie hitch hitchhiking, and they decide they are going to rape her for hitchhiking they arrest her. They manage to stop someone riding their car and try to steal it. Debbie gets rescued when Rod Hudd, the sheriff from the other county, arrive, Then has her arrested. He tries to rape her in the jail cell until she agrees to consent, In real life the cops would get in trouble for it. That's when she tells him about her aunt place. He takes her there. We see the ranch. It isn't a ranch. It's a Bordello. This could not be the porn take off variation of the mainstream musical film that starred Dolly Pardon and Bur Reynolds. That was made in 82. This was 81. Although, the stage version, produced in 79, I don't think this was influenced from the play. I suspect a s.a.g. Actor plays Debbie's Aunt, played by Jinger Jaye. She does not do anything sexual in this film and realistically shows her self as a middle age madam. Rod brings in Bambi, Her aunt does not recognize her until Debbie convinces her. Debbie begs her aunt if she could stay and Xavaiera suggest taking a bath and get some sleep, and they would talk about it tomorrow. The sex workers help Debbie to her room and help her take a bath, with a soap dildo, that's when Debbie learns that her Aunt is a madam and runs a Cat house. Traditionally they go to the ranch Xaviera for fund, but the coach forbids them too. They ignore him. The coach decides to have the place close. To stop the shut-down of the house, In One scene Lisa Be shows up and seduce the two cops played by Alan and Sean to put on that she's the owner Xaviera and that she hasn't had sex in a long time. Then Lisa and Bambi take on Ron in the voyeur room. Lisa's deeps throat, Jeremy's big one. Leading to her being plunged anally. The problem is that this film doesn't show what happens to the coach and the police after that. It shows instead Richard Bolla surprising her as the owner of the department store that financed the trip, now a trucker, but, the background is in his truck. This classic Olive Thompson classic silent has been restored by Joseph Harvat with the funding from Kickstarter. I was the many ones who contributed to the project. Whether this will be out for all classic silent film fans is a question mark. The Restoration was excellent. Clean digital printed. It was tinted and Sepia toned too. The print that was used came from the Netherlands. Eye Film Museum. The translations of the titles weren't conveying, so new intertitles had to be recreated, This was released under Lewis Selznick. This was Olive Thompson star vehicle 1919. As playing the role of Flotsam, she is convincing as a naive innocent young girl who live on the beach who read fairy tale books in hope that a prince will come. Her Father, who runs a lighthouse, played by John Smiley, does a good portrayal as a lighthouse owner who was a retired captain of a ship. He has a dreadful secret. Edward Ellis plays his rough acting assistant, who also has a secret that more dreadful than. He also is trying to get Olive to marry him, Ellis. John keeps telling Olive that when as a dead child swept up the shore, that's when he named her Flotsam. Now you got your wealthy Characters in a yacht near the lighthouse. Marie Cloverdale , plays the owner of the Yacht, whose husband mysteriously left her. Gordon Huntley, plays her nephew, Elmer. A friend and possibly a love interest, Louise Prussing, plays Clarice Stapleton. While on a row boat, and accident happens to Marie and her friend ,played by Cyril Chadwick, Flotsam rescues them and take them back to the yacht. This is when Olive and Huntley meet for the first time and slowly fall for each other, while Louise gets jealous throughout the film telling that Olive is just a waif. On the day that the ones on the Yacht decide to visit olive and her father, that's when John Smiley starts seeing Huntley Familair based on John's secret that olive is not aware of. Ellis starts seeing Huntley as familiar also. The dreadful secret. Later on, Huntley Proposes to Olive. This is when Ellis gets angry and tries to kill Huntley, but, breaks it up. Marie offers adoption of John's daughter to give her a better life. Then when olive is not around he reveals to Marie and Huntley what he, John did to Huntley father and ask never to let Olive know about it. In a later twist, it is revealed whom cause the murder of Huntley's father because it wasn't John. Accidentally, Louise reveals the secret to olive, thinking Olive already knew. Olive decides to go back to her Father for support, because she can't believe he was guilty. The real perpetrator get his come up ins when the spit of the murdered man shows up. As I said, nice melodrama. A rare Olive Thompson silent classic worth the watch. 09/ 14/21.

Italy's first 3D movie was Nozze Vagabondi. It was also in Polaroid. This was Italy's first official 3D feature. It was Toto's first appearance in 3d. It is a satire of C. B Demille's Greatest show on earth, made a year earlier. Furthermore, it was also released by the same studio, Paramount. Some humor is corny. The Cornell Wild satire, Bastian, played by, Alberto Sorrnetino, As he and Tania Weber go into the ring he starts climbing up the rope. After a few inches, he slips and hits his butt, a sack knocks him down. All of a sudden, his Left arm and hand can't move. It's paralyzed. Then Toto' offers him a job selling balloons to the audience. Later on, you see him selling ties to laid on his paralyzed arm. Then in another scene, his arm is well. This was not funny, but corny and silly. Toto' plays the Jimmy Stewart role of the clown name Tottons, but the clown is the lead star. Not the romantic lead, but, character lead. He is hiding from the law for a crime he did through clown make up. The law, played by, played by Savo libassi, is searching for him by asking everyone to measure their feet on his cardboard cut out of Toto''s foot size. This is another corny joke. Marc Lawrence, play the Chaz Heston role of the circus owner. May Britt plays the circus trainer on both elephants and an assistant to an alcoholic lion tamer played by Mario Castellani. There is a funny scene where the law is chasing Toto'and he hides in May Britt's trailer. She decides to disguise him as the lion tamer, since the real one is passed out, But she tricks him into taming the lions himself. At first, he is scared, but, then as the lion bites his hand, he grabs the lion's face and bites the lion on the one of the animal's cheek. After he succeeds in controlling the lions in the cage, as soon as he walks out and spots a white rat, he faints. He also portrays Totton's mother. In double exposure in 3D, when the clown is performing, he sees his mother watching him and goes up to her and starts to talk to her in the mist of the performance. This was supposed to be funny. This has more 3D gimmicks and less story as those who were produced by Sam Katzmann for Columbia. The scene where May Britt and Tania is having an argument which who is going to work for Bastian. They get Toto' to decide for them. The way it looks is their backs are to the camera, as if they want him to decide what is the best cleavage for Bastian to work with. Britt gives Toto' an apple to toss to which women are best. He looks sat the audience and ask us to choose for him. The two women turn to the front of the camera to reveal their costumes, not their breast. The audience chooses Tania and Toto's throw the apple at the camera. Another scene where he has taken over the ball gallery heads where his disguises himself as an Islamic. Each time the patron throw a ball at his face, he says, Allah! Then you see so many balls being thrown at the camera. After Toto knocks the raving mad lion tamer in the wax museum, the law catches up with him. He gets handcuffed, but, Marc won't let the police take him until he does a little theatrical sketch in the circus ring, which is unusual for a circus to do. In which only half of the audience can see it. In Red Skeleton style, his character plays a person getting a job at a unisex beauty parlor run by a gay character beside the owner having Toto's name changed to sound better it lead to disaster. He keeps an overweight woman client in the reducing machine that look like the cousin of Robot monster too long that she shrinks down to the size of a midget. Then he has to dress up in drag to give a woman client a massage. The close up of embarrassment in his face is funny. He ends up keeping a female client in the drier too long that she become bald headed. He started to over paint male clients' hair. Before you know it, the Neapolitan cousins of the American Keystone cops come to the rescue. It seems that the police gave up in arresting Tottons. Near the end, every performer gathers together while Toto is doing a Eulogy directed towards the lions. Now, the drunken lion tamer was not eater by any of the lions cause the character was there with everyone, so I don't know what the eulogy was all about. Oh, I forget to mention the guest celebrate appearance as the patron of the circus equivalent to the American bob hope and Bing Crosby showed up in the other version. In this version it's Anthony Quin, who would also be in Italy's second or third 3D movie with May Britt, and Silvana Mangano as the patron's. American Cinema photographer Karl Strauss, the one who was shooting I love Lucy that year too, was co shooting this film as well. This may not be the best 3D classic. It's as fair as Babes from Baghdad. It is history and if you don't mind the corn, cause there are some funny scenes. Toto' was a good actor and comedian. He just never made it internationally. Like Roberto Rosellini, Anna Magnanni, Sophia Loren, Marcello Mastroianni. Luchino Visconti, Gina Lollobrigida. He still was good and this is worth the watch. 08/31/21.

I discovered this film on h.b.o first. I could not believe it was a 3D movie. It just didn't look in 3D. I only saw the 2D version a couple of moments. I later spotted it on Amazon in Blu -ray 3D-2D. Furthermore, I ordered it. When it arrived, I played it, well. I am a big 3D fan. This Film produced in native 3D, i.m.d.b stated dual 3D, but, in the making of it, the camera looked like the upgraded version of the single strip top and bottom process originally created by, Michael Findlay. The story was okay. Paz De La Huerta was good at playing a psychotic. Vengeful woman, who wanted to get rid of all married men, won't be sexually monogamous to their wives. Just because when she was a little girl and caught her dad having sex with the secretary. This certainly reminded me when I was a kid and me and my mom caught my drunk dad and his secretary at a drive in bar. She was sitting on his lap, but, I'm not a sexually monogamous adult. You also wonder whether Paz is a vengeful lesbian or bisexual? She has the hots for the new nurse, played by Catrina Bowden. Then you have the sexually harassing main Dr. Played by an older Judd Nelson. He harasses all the nurses. Kathleen Turner, the head nurse. Big. Eighties star has been reduced to small part, The problem is this is a 2D subject. 3D just does not look good in this story. Movies like, Silent Madness, are more appropriate in 3D. Another thing is that it seems that the director does not know how to shoot 3d. Some shots, one scene where 4 hospital attendants are together, they are too close. This reduces the 3D effects, This is dark comedy. She, Paz, Seems to get away with murder. Killing. Danni's father-in-law, portrayed by Larry Cook. She gets Danni Drugged after taking her to a disco. Then proceed to date rape her, taking pictures of her. Uses this for black mail. You got 3D gore in this, but it's not as effective as the gore in my bloody Valentine, the remake. In this film, you have a sarcastic Nurse attendant, staff, played by Niece Nash. Her character is funny. Then you have the leading man, Handsome, Corbin. Bleu. Suppose to be Danni's boyfriend! Who wants her to move in with him, but, she has family problems. Her father-in-law is a drunk, played by Larry cook, who get murdered later on. His character acts a real unprofessional psychiatrist, when he seduces patient ,Paz ,Whom she is going to murder. This movie in away like the movie fatal attraction in way. Everybody fails to stop her, and she ends up in another hospital to terrorize. Some good 3D shot's, but, many just fair. Good story, but wrong for 3d. If you don't mind this, as a 3d fan, watch it that way. 08/12/21.

I'm glad that I had decided not to go to the phony Max 2d version of the film at the theater or watch it for free on h.b.o. Max. Cause I would have missed all the three Dee affects. This action horror film was meant to be seen by two eyes. With this version released on Blu- ray you would think that Warner home video would think about restoring the rest of the golden age of 3d classics they own,m.g.m and Warner brother and R. K. O.,like dangerous mission and son of Sinbad,but that another subject. In this sequel to Godzilla king of the monsters, you have two story's in this films of two different group of character. As the saying goes never the twain shall meet .These characters never meet. It all starts out when Godzilla is so pissed off he goes to Ampex corps and almost destroys the business and many of the employees. Why is he so piss off?. Once again from the other version Milly Bobby Brown shows up and in school she hears about the situation and wonder why god has turned against humanity. She want to find out but her father,once again Kyle Chandler show up , won't let her go. So she with her friend, played by Julian Dennison, decide to find out for themselves. The other characters played by Rebecca Hall ,who looks a little like Barbara Steel ,plays a scientist who is. A part of Monarch who is containing King Kong at scull Island,encased. She has an adopted a little girl king Kong rescued ,who is a deaf mute played by Kaylee Hottle, who is a real deaf mute. Then there's Nathan Lind ,played by Alexander Scarsgard,Who informs The scientist that now they have to the Kong to the inner world to stop Godzilla from destroying humanity. Now in this film the earth has a center or an inner world ,that is the earth is hollow. Now you have your conspiracy theorist played by Bryan Tyree Henry, who spies on some of the corporate offices of Ampex. He becomes part of the other characters Bobby and Juli ,whom they are searching for since he is on the radio. King Kong has gotten tired doesn't care much about action. Ilene Andrews is skeptical about taking king Kong to the the entrance of hollow earth that he may not listen to anyone . Little does she know that there is surprise about the little girl Jia can do. Then there the mad scientist,played by Demian Bichir,who has a sneaky surprise up his sleeve,plays the owner of ampex,I think, and is selling special air ship that can go through the hollow world without destroying hollow earth. The mad scientist daughter,played by Einza Gonzalez, is helping her dad in this devious plot. The exciting action occurs When Godzilla start to fight against king on the ship and end up fighting under water. In 3D they both fly out of the screen. Later the surprise is that the little deaf mute Jia can communicate with Kong through sign language. Well the scientist get Kong ,with the aid of jia to enter the hollow world as when the ships enter to follow him,He ends up battling flying monster with wings and tales on the way and he cracks the skull on one of them and drinks their brain fluids .Later you discover that the devious plot that Demian Bichir. And Einza is that they created a Mecha godzilla to dethrone both King Kong and Godzilla and take over the world. Kong ends up killing his daughter, as he fights ampex. The biggest and last fight was in Godzilla territory ,Hong Kong where Kong and zilla beats each other to a pulp destroying the city. Zilla ends up knocking Kong down and he ends up dying. Now MechaZilla shows up and now God needs Kong's help. Kong regains the strength through electromagnetism .Now the two fight against the robot. In the end the separate characters never meet each other in the end for some reason. They could have. Adam Wingard does excellent direction in the story and plot and the characters. The set are very realistic ,Especially Kong's under ground temple as. The hollow earth set is so realistic .In 3d the effects were so awesome,although in 2D it's good too. The only thing is in the second disc in the making of the film under Kong's development over the ages .They mentioned most of the early titles of King Kong except the 1976 native 3d ape. The director seemed to avoid mentioning that. Well entertaining .Worth a watch 3D or2D. 08/3/21.

By the time anyone reads this it will long been available on home video Blu- Ray, by 04/13/21. A year and a half ago there was a fund raiser on kick starters by Bob Furmanek and the 3d archive to raise money to have this restored. It was suppose to be released on 12/20 ,but there were more delays. As a financial contributor ,I just got my copy yesterday. It's great. It the first blu- ray 3d that combines polarized with anaglyph print ,for those who don't have a Polaroid 3D set up. So everyone can see the way it was shot . Earlier I had sent Mr Fermanek email suggested that they ought to use color code ,since it mess up the color way less .I got a respond and he told me that they already tested it with anaglyph. Unfortunately the latter is copy righted so that would have been an expense .Red left cyan right is public domain,but seeing it through red left blu right glasses reduces the color distortion and makes it less green slightly more color detail,but, color code come closer to Polaroid. This was the first Kung fu extravaganza in 3D. Although it is advertised in 4 channel quadraphonic sound,it originally was recorded in mono. The producer probably mixed the tracks that were originally for the mono. Well the music and the sound affects are of oriental in nature .Flutes ,drums japans guitars .The horses galloping sound affects were good .Although the story is minimal the kung fu action is great. Now i don't know which actor plays the prince since all the actors are unknown to me,but Ying Bai plays a corrupt Eunuch Chow who now controls all of Taiwan,were it was shot. The prince wanted to over throw him,but, is forced to go to a monastery for protection,but, that won't prevent Chow to destroy him. Yings character is strange besides being a bad guy. David Wei Tang plays Eunuch's guard protector. The film maker did not give this character name. That was odd. There is a scene where David make a surprise Attack almost to Eunuch,but it turns out he was just practicing cause he want to be a general. The Strange thing is that Eunuch grabs his hand and moves him to Eunuch's bed and starts to put his arms around David and gets' closer to him and next scene. All of a sudden Eunuch gets up it's time to sneak to the monastery and surprise the Prince,Guess who get up out of the same bed ? David. Did he and the Eunuch Chow had gay sex? Sometime Eunuch called Davids character his brother. Tao Liang Tan plays Sao Chin Tan son of a warrior ,who got killed by his enemy, Eunuch ,in a 2d still shot flash back of the brutal murder ,probably the producer wanted to save money on the film. The actor looks very skilled at the portrayal of king fu,but my guess had probably a technical adviser to choreograph it probably. Sao takes off way after the bad guy arrives killing all the monastery priests as they defend themselves. Oh I forgot to say that when Eunuch went to the palace to see if the prince was there they captured an old man played by younger actor Wen Tai Lee. He refuses to answer them and gets his head chopped off,almost flies off the screen .Now poor Sao all alone in the world has seven days to get rid of Eunuch Chow and his Gang. There another character,bad guy ,who plays a general ,who looks likes David character ,Kang Chin ,who plays Lu Kuai. In fact when Sao was scaring Lu Kaiu into the woods ,right next to the city, and surprised attack Lu chopping lu's hands off and Ramming a piece of wood in his chest,suggested,I though they killed David character..Then I realizes he was still alive in another scenes. The 3D cinema photography in the kung fu fights was excellent. The scene where Eunuch's soldiers try to decapitate Sao heads with a claw attach to a chain and he uses his trusty metal umbrella to fight them off,just like the leading character in the 1936 musical the dancing pirate,then more help shows up ,or more help for the bad guys?. The soldiers end up choppy off the head of the extras flying out of the screen instead of Sao's. Eventually ,after a lot of fighting against each other ,David's character has turned against Chow,probably for raping him, and offer help to Sao to overthrow the dictatorship of Eunuch Chow in Taiwan. Although the voices were kind of ridiculous the dubbing was in sink. Too bad the original mandarin language is lost. No there was not one women in this film,except for some servants .Fear not the women will have there turn in the sequel Shogun women coming soon.i remember seeing this in an advertisement at the empire theater in 77,but did not see it at that time .Even though ti was shown on t.v. In 82,but it never came to my station. Fortunately I saw it in Polaroid at the martin twin when it was reissued to the theaters in 83. Extras in this Bu ray disc is a cartoon 3d music video. Mike Ballew discussion of the super touch 3D lens ,which was invented by sexploitaion film maker Mike Findley. More 1950's stereo slides and a slide presentation of a famous department store in Dallas Texas. Worth the buy and watch.04/01/21.
