This is a must see for any fan of the shining and right up there with IT as one of the best horror movies of the year ..this is a adults mahorror movie not relying on jump scares and spending alot of it's time giving you meaningful details..go watch it. Period

I don't understand all the hate in the other reviews. This movie had it all.. Action, emotion, a great plot grest pacing... You root for Ceasar and his apes but then you later find that the humans have no choice in this war and must eradicate the apes or succumb to extinction. Apparently ppl are angry with how humans were depicted as barbaric and apes and a close knit group who only wished to survive and live in peace. If you follow the plot you see the humans have no choice. Woody Harrelson was great. The cgi was great.. The little girl called Nova is a perfect example of how transformers should have treated the human characters in Their movie.. She became a part of the apes group but st no point was she the focus or did she became the savior.. She played a pivotal role on the movie tho and he interactions with the apes were amazing. Don't let these comments fool you go see the movie

Shyamalan again disappoints. Idk if I can even say I have spoilers the movie was so boring me and my girlfriend nodded off several times....this guy shouldn't be allowed to make movies anymore. This was like watching golf without the ball ...his therapist ignores signs of of his erratic behavior for nearly 90 percent of the movie ...the lead girl has flash backs of her creepy rapist uncle in a truly unnecessary and lame sub plot. Why not focus on the main plot or making the audience feel the women are in some real danger. It's teased relentlessly that Macao's character is evolving into the beast but when he becomes the beast literally nothing happens..... the plot is trash and I am done paying to see this guy's. Horrible movies ..just like the happening and so many other movies don't waste your money

The worst van dammed movie I've ever seen.. Slow-paced annoying supporting characters and a forgettable performance by can dammed who seems added just to lure you with his name as a draw. I've seen commercials more exciting. Not to mention the weird blues soundtrack that made me feel I was watching a horrible episode of in the heat of the night. By the time the movie ended I wanted refund for time spent watching. Avoid this toilet bowl of flick . It will do nothing but disappoint. Maybe a committee should be made to halt horrible movies from being distributed.. We could call it the saving your time foundation
