The Wave
(2019)

Great Movie That Asks Big Questions
I've watched this movie multiple times and it has allowed me to watch all of the nuances and clues that are dispersed throughout. There is a lot going on once you scratch the surface and it really delivers on a lot of levels. It's a sci-fi of sorts but in actuality it's really a metaphysical journey about what life means and what you do with it.

The plot twists are great and keeps you guessing and there is a lot of humor throughout and even though this wasn't a big budget movie the cast is great all around with great performances. It's not a kids movie due to the heavy emphasis on drugs and some language. It's not really a "stoner" movie either but more of a movie about life, the universe and what your place is in it.

FBI: Prey
(2018)
Episode 3, Season 1

Best episode so far
A dark, intense episode. Excellent choice in music as it really builds the tension. I actually think this episode is far superior to the pilot. I might actually rewatch this episode, it's that good.

Jeff Lynne's ELO: Wembley or Bust
(2017)

Phenomenal Concert-Jeff Lynne's Performance Masterpiece
Having been a huge ELO fan for the last 4 decades this performance at Wembley Stadium in front of 60,000+ fans is really the pinnacle of Jeff's musical career. The production is great and to hear him perform brings home how talented and under appreciated he's been for his 5 decades of musical influence. If you're a ELO fan you can't go wrong watching almost two hours of a brilliant performance.

BattleBots
(2015)

Love this show!
What's not to love? Robots destroying other robots! Fun commentary and lots of mechanical carnage.

Sorjonen

Let the story unfold
A juggernaut of unfolding story lines, relationships and cinematography. Excellent script with a series of independent stories that the main characters develop their ongoing stories and provide their back stories with every subsequent episode. This series is appropriately rated MA with full female and male nudity so if that offends you look elsewhere. If reading subtitles are a issue then this isn't the series for you either.

But if you enjoy a suspense building drama crime series with excellent cinematography and excellent use of music to build tension and horror then don't pass this series up. 9 out of 10 for me.

Banshee: The Truth About Unicorns
(2014)
Episode 5, Season 2

Visually Stunning
A few have downgraded this episode because it doesn't "mesh" with the standard Banshee universe in it's directorial style. I say it is without a doubt the most artistically visionary episode I've seen so far in the series.

Potential Spoilers Ahead: Visually beautiful, using expansive contrastive shots from multiple angles. Excellent choice of music in combination with the cinematography to really bring home how the characters can really never escape the "sins" of their past and no matter how much they dream, hope or plan for a "clean" future, the "dirty past" is always right there.

Reminded me a lot of Michael Mann's directorial style which I really like. To each there own I guess but I found this episode captivating and thought provoking. 10 out of 10 for me.
