I do not care about the fanboy of the video game, i almost never played this one and i do not care.

This tv show rocks hard !

It is beautiful, the story is super nice, the acting is super solid and the ost are amazing (close to the game).

It is a shame the master-chief remove his helmet but it is what it is.

I really hope a long continuity of episodes at least 5 seasons.

9 per seasons it is not enough for a show of this quality.

Each episodes is a pure moment of pleasure for me and i am waiting each time the next one.

The season 2 got better FX and development than season 1 It is really nice to watch.

I do not know well who done this tv show, i do not know if it is a book or not, honestly i do not care.

I start the show not knowing nothing about it. IT WAS A BLAST from episode 1 to 8. I watched it in one row without even a pause in the middle.

To be honest i have watched everything about demons, tv show , movie ... everything. And it is the category i dislike the most because 99% of the time it is hyper cliché and super boring but this one holy cow ... what a surprise.

The acting is amazing ! The story is super good. The context is well crafted. And everything from start to finish is good.

The work of the pictures and sound are amazing.

And the dialogue are really something.

This is a good show, and i hope we will get more of this caliber.

It is very surprising a pact with a demon show take this point of view even the deal is something dark and well crafted.

This universe is new.

When stargate, starwars, firefly, star trek ... and so many others was released no one give them a real chance. All the critics and the haters was unanimous to say "it will not work" "it is too strange" "it will be forgotten very fast" well ... they were all wrong.

I watched this one, and it is a good start.

It is not revolutionary, but honestly, what is in 2024 ?

We have already seen / watch everything or almost.

So, exactly as i said some years ago with star trek discovery and strange new world it will last and some will be very good, some will be forgettable.

This new saga deserve a real chance.

It is something fresh, let it grow.

And by the way, it is not a bad movie at all.

Well crafted, amazing story, extremely good musics sfx and voice acting, good twist everywhere, netflix seriously with this one you are on a very good path !

Anyone who said this tv show is bad is crazy. This is with castlevania, yasuke and some others one of the best this last decade.

Honestly the animation is really crazy and you feel the heat when needed, the story is hard and really interesting until the last 30 seconds.

I hope a season 2 ! It will be a shame to not give us a final chapter.

At start i was on guard because it is 3d animation but it is very very good, close to "arcane" so just wow. It is a blast a very good blast.

Perhaps Netflix do not provide too much amazing tv show or movies but concerning animated tv shows this last 11 years are full of good surprises from them.

Do not miss this one !

Ok to be fair : acting is solid, scripts are ok, story is common but stay a nice one.

So if you like scifi and very nice cgi and realization it is for you.

But the writing is lousy. Stay with me on that, because each time they got a problem on that ship, it is because of something missing on the list bellow.

What is silly because everything else was really good.

The back story and the main story are good.

The missing stupid list :

First of all if you have the technology to got a spaceship who can do faster than light, with thousands of peoples on board, i can easily imagine, you have :

• drones for space repairs,
• space suit everywhere,
• small craft for repairs,
• lift everywhere inside and outside the ship,
• multiple med bays,
• medical tools to id blood
• roto lines
• and obviously a manifest of everyone with everything
• and tones and tones of stuff to help you in many ways possible.

So, if you have this kind of stuff (almost) into a space station in 2023 WHY they do not have them in this -> gigantic <- spaceship ?

Because it arrange the writers ! And that's all.

And this is why this tv show will never ever will be a masterpiece.

But again it is a very descent show with very strong acting.

I am episode 6, and i want to puke.

This is pathetic, a bad cosplay.

The original characters are ridiculous, the fight scene are horrible !

The musics are just not even here and replaced by bad ambiance and awful songs.

There is so so many problems, and lousy shortcuts.

Some of the iconic fight of season 1 do not even exist.

Captain Kuro fight scene on the beach : gone.

Garp is scottish.

The fight with the man in golden armor on baratie : gone mihawk kill him in less 30 seconds. What the hell ??

What is that ? What everyone is giving this awful trash a 10/10 are you people going nuts ?

This is an insult to the anime on so so many points i do not know how to start. Everything is smoothed, flat, you can't feel anything when you watching this, it is a giant cosplay.

I am sure it is the best live action ever made "well" no thanks !

The acting is correct at best if you like soap opera flat as Mediterranean see.

To be simple, the remove everything was complicated to do visually.

All the characters are so small and tiny.

For example arlong is a dwarf, so tiny so small !!!

Even garp is just not big enough.

This production deserve at best some of the Lord of the ring special effects for character design but no they just used cosplay that's is so so ridiculous.

What a ridiculous overrated TRASH !

This is a dragon ball evolution with more budget that's all at the end same results, a very awful tv adaptation.

The worst moment for me was the nami scene when she yelling "Arlong! Arlong!" Cutting out the tattoo, it is so so flat, each time i re watch this scene on the anime i almost cry, it is one of the most powerful moment of the anime at my eyes, but in this tv trash it is just so bad and scene more luffy than nami.

I almost feel like throwing up, if you like and respect the original anime, RUN AWAY!

All the peoples who work on this movie have my respect concerning the special effects. It is a very hard work, a team effort to create something very clean.

BUT and holy cow, it is a big one :

What the hell the producers do ?

In the coming lines i will explain THE ABSOLUTE rules to follow to do a movie even with a poor budget, and it will look like pro.

Any movies who follow these rules will work.

1 - 25 or 24 fps NEVER EVER do a 60 fps frame rate.

It is for video game and even video games for 3d cgi use 24 fps.

60 fps looks plastic.

2 - always exaggerate. Motion blur and moves.

3 - use focal and blurts into explosions - blur into movement

4 - if 1 effect looks cheep into the middle of 1000 who looks great, redo the effects or everything will be lost.

5 - musics and bgm need to follow action, need to be 50% of the action, do not put a music over the top it will not work, or do it for less 2 minutes to a special shot or scene. If the bgm are bad the movie is bad. If the OST are bad the movie is bad.

6 - stupid characters, cliché acting, over reaction and sunglasses by night are for comedies not for serious apocalyptic movies.

And you know what ?

Producers DO NOT FOLLOW ANY OF THESE RULES at ALL !

They do the exact opposite.

And this is why a movie who cost millions and have a not so bad story, looks like a end of studies' project.

What a waste of money.

Ok i watch the movie thinking, well another stupid movie and i will waste my time.

Well shame on me, absolutely not !

The writing is fun, musics are super good, acting is strong, story is nice, it is a good movie ! And i am not a fan of Disney or paid by anyone to say it.

I read i do not know how many comments about a very dull movie, with a stupid story, and i was surprised to enjoy the movie.

It is a nice movie, well crafted, who retake the origin.

And a very good ending for the saga.

If you are looking for a fun family movie with dark moments you will be well served.

That is crazy because after 45 minutes i said to myself "indy is back" I do not understand this stupid wave of haters about this movie.

So a young girl of 45 kilograms can kill them with fire Molotov cocktail ... well ... why are we loosing ? Why 500 peoples running like stupids, why they do not us oil, fuel to burn them ?

NO just one young girl is a hero the absolute bad ass and the only one who knows how to create molotov cocktail in this world apparently ...

1 min ! It takes 1 minutes of the season 2 on the first episode to be stupid ! WELL DONE starting well !

..... S1 That's incredible they can manage a trailer of this quality with less than 10 minutes of interest into the entire tv show.

This tv show deserve less than zero, at least minus 5 It is slow, boring, messy, useless and a total waste of time for everyone. At best it is a very bad tv show about some teenagers, some families and a soldier, but it is so messy you can even identify anything.

I have looked my watch each time aliens are on screen, LESS THAN 5 Minutes from the entire show.

This is the perfect example of LORE without anything but LORE.

Slow pacing and ultra boring.

One of the worst tv show i ever watch about scifi and i watched them all. But this one is simply terrible. Action scenes are so messy you do not even understand what is going on.

The world is burning but we do not know why, how the alien attack, how they won, what happen, where, and by the way where are the bodies ? Where is the blood ? Where are the military ? No bunker ? No tank ? No planes ... no!

Just people running everywhere doing nothing with sad faces saying "this is the end of the world" well ... i do not know who wrote this awful piece of garbage but seriously even in 1995 some tv shows was better about scifi.

S02 is coming with an amazing trailer, well , this time, perhaps less than 3 minutes of "something" ?

Even low cost production 25 years ago like "V" was well crafted, this one is a pure pile of trash.

First of all i do not even remember the movie, so i am not a fan, if a book exist i never read it ... so ... i will speak only about this tv show judging it for what it is.

This tv show will be almost good if it was released between 1999 and 2002 but it is a pure waste of money and time in 2022.

To be simple : IT IS VERY BAD !

• the story is linear and really boring
• the script is pitiful
• the musics are ok
• 90% of the times they talk on horses, around a fire, into a cave and talk and talk and talk again
• this is a very poor heroic fantasy tv show and story
• there is almost NO new ideas at all
• it is flat on flat on flat

That was the good parts !

Now the bad ones:

• acting is ridiculous
• all the actors looks like they have 16 years old even they have 25 and THIS IS NOT GOOD, they are not credible at all.

• each people in this show is a cliché the nice one, the funny one, the dwarf, the fighter girl, the big guy with a big sword ... awful !

That's really incredible in 2022 to do so obvious and without taste. Even the animated series of Dungeon & Dragons 1990 was better!

• the cooking woman who become the most powerful sorceress in the century just because it is convenient for the script ...
• Each episode is not interesting at all
• the warrior girl who do not know how to hold a claymore (long sword)
• the Prrooopppphheeeccyyyyyy of the bad will destroy the good and the evil will reignnnn pfffff never eared that before in my life into heroic fantasy or anywhere else wow what a revolutionary idea to follow a group of teenager.

Another annoying thing : you can predict the future !!!

-an old man on a horse talking about staying sharp at any moments, you are sure it will die 5 seconds later.

-the thief who will kept the goods but saying he found nothing and everybody believe it is the truth event they find him in jail (almost)

• the knight who turn evil ...

THEIR IS NO SURPRISE, NO EMOTION, NO FUN, NOTHING !!!! Disney need to fall back and produce only cartoons.

Everything else they touch becoming trash.

Marvel, Star Wars and now Willow.

And now i am going to watch the original movie and forget (i hope) this awful trash.

4 episodes of this show are for me enough for a lifetime!

Here lots of useless peoples are trap on a boat, who as multiple secret passages to the real world. Worlds connected to their past.

The plot is to made the main actress wake up and remember.

Because everything is a simulation into her mind.

Well, then everybody is useless, all the worlds are useless, and everything is fake. Exactly like a dream, when you wake up this universe do not exist anymore even it was looking super realistic.

AT THE EXACT MOMENT the main actress say for the first time: " it is not real, everything is fake, you do not exist, this world do not exist, it is a simulation" to anyone on the boat, we (the tv show watchers) have no point to be interested to any of the universes anymore. No point at all.

And you will have the answer 4 minutes before the end of the last episode.

During a fantastic scene who has the incredible duration of less : 12 seconds : 12 seconds ! And after this scene, EVERYTHING you have watched before is 100% USELESS.

This tv show is a colossal waste of time.

The acting is ok, the musics are ok, the script is super slow and sometimes extremely boring and the end is at best : "ok" at worst "already seen this 20 times" i will not spoil the end. But you have already seen that if you like science fiction MANY TIMES.

This tv show was having the potential to be really something incredible.

But at the end of episode 8, you will have the same taste i got in my mouth : Dust.

And the same words in tour minds : "Seriously, all this for that ?"

If like me you already seen the 4th first episodes and you have already watch all the supernatural tv show before, it was for you a PARODY.

This 4tf first was awful.

• the music just do not exist. So the soul of the tv show is no more.

• the acting and stories are really weak and you can see the plot coming 300 meters away

• you have all the cliché inside : the gay, the black, the hero, the blonde, ...

none of them is interesting and none of them mean anything to anyone.

This tv show is at best boring. At worst an insult to the original show.

There is only error and more error inside.

• You can exorcist a demon in 2 lines
• You can trap a demon into a tree

and so many more i will stop there.

BUT if you want to watch a scooby doo tv show you got it.

What was working with Supernatural is gone : first of all the musics who was the soul of the show giving us the mood and some very good choices to create intensity ... GONE.

The nightmares of the brothers, the solitude, isolation, no money, always using system D, precariousness of the brothers, the relationship , the horror, the danger about loosing them self into this life ... GONE

On this one you have a scooby doo gang saying stupid jokes and acting like morons. Even into s01e01 of supernatural you can feel the heat and feel the horror, here it is just a big nothing.

Worst prequel ever.

Well, to be honest this tv show is "pffff" at best.

And to be simple there is a small tv show of 3 episodes who is far better than this one.

There is TONES of non sens, it is super slow pacing, there is almost no vfx, no tripod ...

The almost good points:

• Acting is ok
• Filming is good
• Sound design is ok
• story is just a survival style, you are with some survivors and it is not really interesting at all.

The bad points: "oh dear ! + it will be long" 1) Aliens use multiple devices to stop our brain by amplifying pattern wave resonance of all humans on earth.

Using all the devices dropped on earth.

• Human brains do not use the same pattern as other brains = True
• Each human brain as is own pattern = True

So you can't kill all human brains using the same wave pattern ? = True This is only the first 23 minutes. This weapon can't work !

2) No tripod, because no budget, then brainwave who do not work.

3) Using all the devices dropped on earth.

Yes ... BUT ... we have seen the screen of the devices detecting the fall of all the aliens devices who have fallen on earth, and they do not have dropped on the other side of the world.

Then, USA, Canada, Africa, China, Russia ... where are you ?

You can say, yes but perhaps the aliens continue to bombard the world bla bla bla and the answer will be : no!

Because 22h passed between the fall and the attack. And there is something very well known as : THE PLANET ROTATE YOU KNOW ?"

And if meteorites fall from the sky even in day light in usa you can see them from England! Because they fall per pack of : 250!

Meteorites entering atmosphere = burning sky = can been seen from far away.

4) The planes fall per pack, the electronics do not work ... ... I do not know who write that and who approve that, BUT if an EMP can fry a car it certainly can't fry your brain.

Or all humans will be dead since any solar flare in history.

A) EMP do not last forever, at very best 2h.

Change some parts and "hee wee goo", Tanks and Plane again"

b) even with 250 emitters, you can't fry all the planet.

And again, it will not last.

C) AND EVEN they have the best EMP machines of all the universe capable to kill everyone and everything in one shot EVEN if THAT: Jeep, 50% of the tanks, AMC, UMV, rocket luncher, rpg, 35% of the helicopters, f14, migs ... DO NOT USE ELECTRONICS !

They have been created to ensure an electronics warfare in case of nuclear emp blast.

And so many other new techs we do not even know who are shielded.

And all the bunker in the world with tones and tones of weapons and soldiers.

Submarines perhaps too ? If submarines survive (because apparently you can under 6 meters of water (the car accident seen) submarines will! Then all the F satellite network TOO.

5) The dogs of Boston mechanics attack the survivors !!!

And they are parts organic and parts mechanics.

Yeaaa sure ... Aliens who can target a special hemisphere and big cities, who can fry all the planet will send dogs with bullet as weapons, who can't open a door to eradicate survivor, and they can be killed by riffle.

WTF, my littler sister can do better than that.

WHY an alien will look like that ? Why they will mix organic and metallic parts ? They come from battlestar galactica (who was logical and realistic) ?

Why so many stupidity ...

This tv show is written by lousy peoples, put on screen with no money and the result is very not convincing at all.

This is the most incredible, awesome tv show i ever seen.

The story is incredible the writing is incredible the musics are superbe the animation is out of this world the renderings are 10 years ahead of anything in this style

the characters are ALL amazing and all the backstory are incredible.

I never watch something like that, and i watch them all !!!

It is not cyberpunk by the way, at all, it is retro-futuristic and it is GORGEOUS !

I think this tv show deserve all the nominations and prices they get and even more.

On your life time you will get perhaps two to three show like that.

I never play lol because i do not care about this type of game.

But FOR ONCE if a video game can give us a tv show of this incredible quality, well thank you guys !

As a senior graphic artist this tv show literally change my point of view on so many things. And open my eyes on others. This is a gigantic peace of art and a magnificent work. You can't pass that.

I will not spoil anything here.

Acting, script, idea, music : all good Story : not really entertaining.

The problem with this tv show is simple : It can be resume into a movie of 2h00.

It is like the beginning of the tv show "Revolution".

The fact is, revolution explain the problem in 2h for a show of 42 episodes.

This tv show expand way to slowly the interesting points in 4h for 5 episodes in total.

Anyway, it can be interesting to watch if you like scifi extinction level event (E. L. E.) style type.

What is a very good point of Last Light is the acting!

That's very good, the actors did a very solid job there and artistic direction is good. And this is why you will want to know the ending. The story is very slow but when you start, you want to know more and what will happen next.

It is ok to watch, but do not wait for something realistic.

Honestly, 1 day of electric shortage and cars are burning, people loot shops, steel to each other ... okkk sorry but no. 1 week perhaps but at the second days people overreact like they announce on tv the sun had exploded.

And the bad boys are ... Who in this world do not want fresh water, electricity, hot cooking, microwave, plane, cars ... just ridiculous.

No spoil, super fun, extremely well written, entertaining, well animated and shaded very good surprise the 2 first episodes was amazing.

Waiting for more !!!

Hope they will keep the same art direction and the same delirious scripting it is outrageous, bloody, and so fun !

It's been so long time i have not laugh like that some sentences deserve to be saved somewhere !

It is very good to find something so fresh and funny and bloody ^^ we need more like that, many more.

And by the way it is not for children at all.

Some people said it is a rip-off of an old tv show, yes it is, but sorry, it is WAAAAAAAAY better !

The original tv show is : Lucy, Daughter of the Devil And it was not very good.

If you have a kid and watch it with her/him it is ok , after all it is only 20 minutes in your life.

If you have not, watch it on your smartphone when into the subway or waiting in line to buy something at the grocery

if not, do not waste your time.

After 7 years old, you have other things to do and watch.

It is not a tv show at all, it is teasing for something we do not know at this moment. It is a memento about Guardian of the galaxy centered about groot.

And perhaps introduce something new ? A tv show ? A new movie ... i have no clue, but if not, i do not see the point to waste money like that.

As adult, it is "almost" funny if you have the iQ of a banana.

For sure it is a good and surprising tv show.

Anyone who say it is bad, need seriously to find a shrink yesterday.

The 5 first episodes are at my taste way better than the rest of the show.

It become less surprising and interesting after them.

The LGBTQ+.... is a little too much and can be irritating.

Too much gay stuff not needed at all. Why did they do that ? Did they try to please everyone in any case ?? It is strange and weird sometimes.

The universe is amazing, the ideas are well made, the script is solid, the ost are very good, the stories are good. And the vfx are strong and add many good ideas into the show.

If you seeking new style heroic fantasy, go ahead you will find something you like.

The movie itself is impeccable.

And his story incredible.

There is no more to say. But i will add something.

After seeing the movie, ask yourself this : "What will happen if mincemeat have not worked ?

"What will happen if people who create this operation never act the way they did ?"

This is a solid 8 / 10 For a very good movie.

I did not know this story before. Never read Fleming.

Every new day can gives you something incredible to learn.

Anyone who say to you : "this movie is bad" have lost his soul.

I will talk about the PC version.

I got 650 hours on ff7 Ps1 so i can compare, and 40 years playing video games. I am not just a ff7 original addict far from it. I play many more games, and am one of the best tank of Division 2 worldwide for example.

This way, you know what is talking.

The combat system and materia system are very good.

The graphics, musics and the design are astonishing.

But, for the game it self :

way too much boring story about XYZ way too much movies, cut scene, walk there ... 95% filler.

It is a corridor game with too many limitations.

You can't go there, you can't have more than 1 materia on this style, you can't properly farm, you can't duplicate materia ... ... ...

The summon system is awful, you can't control them, they are just here, can't die, can't be attacked almost, and you do not feel them at all. They are just here to be here and hit. This is very lame and put them at the lowest position into the game. And honestly they are almost all the time useless. You can't summon them when you want. You can't upgrade them.

FF7 was for me a game who open the players to freedom and farming was easy, cool and simple. On this one you simply can't farm. The essence of the game was to : go wherever you want, run in circle and kill random zone enemies to upgrade stuff and learn new stuff, steal new stuff and so on,

here NOTHING! You go there, kill the bad guys, and that's all. When dead, it is almost impossible to get more. What is absolutely boring and a poor choice of game design.

In PS1 you get 600h of pure gameplay to upgrade everything and you can get more than 150 combinations to do whatever you want with your stuff

Into the remake you got 45h of 3D MOVIES !

And less than 9h of gameplay.

The story is good, but we do not want to watch a movie we want to play.

Sorry, but any good mmo gives you 90% of gameplay and 10% of movies into ff7r you get 95% of movies and corridors.

When you finish the game, you unlock hard mode, and this mode is the most stupidest mode i ever played this last 40 years. You can't use ITEMS anymore. What a good idea, into any mmo's and particularly ff mmo's all players will COLLECT stuff any stuff, and now you have the hard mode on and you can't use them, what put the MONEY , the ITEMS and everything useful you have found this last 20 hours into a big trashcan.

And now we need to redo the game a second time to unlock stuff in hard mode ??? Sorry but no thank you. Game design is very bad on this point, because there is no point to do it.

The story will stay the same! There is no DER RICHTER like ff10, there is no real purpose to do it except 1 summon -_- and when you got it ?

That's all. There is the simulator, there is the arena ok ok but they are limited spaces with exactly the same enemies at the same moments at the same places what ti is extremely boring.

So to be simple, hard mode is : upgrade your stuff more for almost no purpose. And mash the skip button because 45h of cut scenes are coming AGAIN! Well ...

i am disappointed.

After 22 years waiting for that, it is a correct game but a bad rpg.

Without freedom, without customization, without a real purpose ...

i really hope : when all the opuses will be released, the game will be complete and we will have "at last" something extraordinary.

But for now it is a blablabla rpg with way too many limitations and i am not motivated to redo it just for scraps.

The only thing i will say will be this: the first 30 seconds of the Resident Evil 1, 20 years ago was better than the entire movie.

And yes i was talking about the little music at the start onto a zoom showing us a lab.

This movie looks like, they watch all the 3d movies, and all the movies, they pick what they like, put it all into a big hat, and pick randomly the script of this new movie. Adding awful acting, bad story who do not looks like at all Resident evil.

Leon is a moron, stars are ridiculous, police chief is ridiculous, story is ridiculous, nothing feel right, even the zombies are bad and THEY TALK !

And the story, omg the story ... there is no development around umbrella or the monsters or the virus or anything. They just show us 3d blooby and dogs and talking zombies "ish".

There is no suspense, no real guideline there is nothing.

No interest, no style, no horror, nothing it is flat line all the time.

This is, a very poor reboot.

And that's all.

The tv show is correct at best, but it is not a good scifi show.

Narratives are very flat, acting are not good at all and kill the show, combat are slow and lack realism, musics do not match the pictures.

There is always "in each scene" something who looks like fake and break the realism for us to put our mind inside and be absorbed by the show.

The worst part for me is the body language of the main cast (heroes and bad guys) who are very bad. The words who came to my mind when i saw the entire show was : "how is that possible, the director do not manage the actors properly to get something who do not look like as fake acting"

They ALL do too much when not needed, and, do not enough when needed. At each scene, every time.

But why ? Why this show failed in 4 facts :

1) They have as reference the original animated tv show and try to copy it, what is impossible to reproduce with real actors. Or you need to put a lot more budget into it, and take more time to manage the actors.

2) Directors and writers of this tv show do not have the knowledge and references needed to do a good job. Bad casting, bad choices, bad writing and no knowledge and understanding of the original universe, will not give us anything new and memorable at the end.

3) For anyone who watch the original show, it is a bust, because in our mind, it was masterpiece. Then this show fight a ghost, an idea, a memory.

No one win against a memory you will always loose against it, because memory for everyone are perfect. They need to re construct the original to re create new memories, new ideas. And they failed badly trying to copy cat the original what is at best a bad idea at worst a direct way to oblivion.

4) Cowboy bebop universe is rich and have a lot of potential, like blade runner, cyberpunk, altered carbon and so on ... why copy something when you can create around and add more. I wish they have created something new or remade something like Marvel done with Avenger.

Comic books do not looks like the movies but the workaround was a real success using the original materials.

Because of this 4 facts, they failed horribly and create something who will just forgotten in no time. Too bad the writers and director do a bad job to reconstruct something credible around this universe.

To be clear, if you compare the the first one, this one stay a "correct" movie.

BUT it looks like a very good TV-show and nothing more.

Peoples who gives 8 or 10 as review never seen the first one or never read the books, and even not, this movie is correct but not astonishing at all.

• The poetic and the majestic are gone ! -

Too many shortcut, the hand box, the shield, the spaceships, the fremen armor, the sardaukar armor, the worms looks ok, but nothing is astonishing at all.

I remember the majesty of the main spaceships when i was young into the original movie (gigantic doors surrounded by golden carving with hundreds of small ships in line entering inside) in this one you get an ugly bathtub who looks like nothing.

And it is just an example of so many things they miss.

Like the carvings on the walls into the training room, the robot to train, the slowing blade who is a very important fact and on this one who is just some words who are no meanings.

The musics are very bad and do not hit your mind.

When the Atreides arrives on Arrakis i was laughing, "Ireland is coming".

The movie is not bad, but it looks like watching the first movie into sleeping pills. I do not see the point.

And all of that for me is because of the artistic choices and the narratives who are weak.

The kind of movie you watch 1 times each 4 years and no more.

I was hopping an astonishing visual movie, i got a correct tv show with low artistic choices.

Something really important is missing : You never ever ear Paul talking to himself. Then, no more description of what happen by Paul himself. What is something who was important into the books and the first movie. And link the spectator / reader to him, on this one you just watch what happen and that's all.

I hope they will give us the second part, just to watch the end, but if not, i will not loose sleep about it.

To be simple:

An alien ship, a meteorite or "we do not know" falling into earth , and immediately after (before it hit the ground) the weakest alien ever created in any movies falls like rain and wipe out all of our military forces and almost all humanity.

And these aliens can be killed by a shotgun, do not reproduce faster, are limited in numbers, are blind, can't fly, can't swim. Have almost no hands, do not fire projectile, and can be distracted and attracted by sounds ... If true, the human race deserve to die !

Get ANYTHING who can do noise + put it on a portable sub-woofer + get a tank or a big truck = Attract them and drive trough them.

Imagine that with 10 TANKS = problem solved in 5 days !

Seriously ?? WT* !

Awful movie, boring like hell, way to stupid to be taken seriously.

The story is like : none and full of holes.

My own idea to create something realistic : this part is purely by my own retaking the story :

Organic lifeforms came from the underground, They can't see because there is no light under earth .

They are super strong because of the gravity who is stronger close to any core of any planets. Their masses are heavy and super strong because they resist to pressure and bullets by this fact.

They are fast because they are now on the surface and for them gravity is lighter. And we are food and they starving.

Ta daa, it take me 3 minutes! Good job Hollywood.

What a shame.

I do not understand at all, why critics here saying this show is bad.

The characters are good, the story is totally fresh, the animation is amazing, the fights are incredible and it is super rare to get so many different ideas mixed together and who works like a charm.

Even the bad boys are interesting. And the back story is sometimes better than the main story. What is AGAIN very good and surprising !

The ending is not the best i have seen but everything else is top.

The quality of animation is super close to Samourai Shamploo or cowboy beebop sometimes. Whats is EXTREMELY good, particularly impressed by the fight into the bar who was a real moment of pleasure and close to MADHOUSE concerning the quality of the animation and the quality of the choreography.

Honestly if you do not like this one, go watch Pokemon or Mary Poppins.

To describe the ambience i will say ... spirit / samurai / dark magic Close to a video game named : Onimusha or a manga named. Ninja Scroll.

Do not forget it is a tv show not a movie so obviously there is many shortcuts to avoid production fees. BUT this one of the best Netflix give us with Castlevania.

It is always at mlinimum in 18 FPS some fight scene are clearly in 30 fps.

I watch it in JAPANESE and it was very nice.

Musics are very cool too and match the action and are not boring one seconds.

And one of the point i like the most there is almost no 3d they draw 90% of everything by hands. Whats is in 2021 a Very VERY good thing.
