The Innkeepers
(2011)

waste of talent and lets b honest ghosts just aren't scary...
well frankly to pay ten bux for a ticket and for a R rated movie i expect to see some nudity and several good sex scenes , this movie is just a very watered down teeze, people would go see it if they had a reason.....reason being sexy sara paxton, but they don't give her much to do at all, a real downer of a film depressing and dark. how they stretched it to two full hours is beyond me , easily ninety minutes of content whittled down, big disappointment in regard to sara paxton, i got so bored i went to the cinema bathroom and watched her in aquamarine on my mobile phone for about twenty minutes, then grabbed my winter jacket and vamoosed down the street to a red box machine to rent something more interesting. note to the director -- if u make R movies then put some sexual content in them , then u will sell tickets ! V
(2009)

finally ABC gets it right !! LoveLy Laura Vandervoort VEE VA las lizard aliens !!!
very happy to see this remake got the green light from the powers that be at ABC, my number one reason to tune in of course, is the lovely Laura vandervoort, the same gorgeous Canadian-dutch beauty who saved smallvilles ratings on the WB or the CW or whatever next alphabetical configuration they will call it next. i saw the first V series in the 80's , yeah the ''big hair'' eighties HAHA, from that V, a young Freddy Krueger (rob england) was cast as a lizard alien which was fun ! pretty good casting on the current V, with Morena B. as the evil alien lizard queen, but did not really buy the FBI agents? the set decor on their office looked pretty cheap by network standards. slow to start and some of the dialogue was kind of lacking, Scott Wolfe not really the best choice to play a world known anchorman, excellent FX on the UFOs and designs, really top rate and on par with stargate, etc.

best lesson to come away with is this ---->> you don't need dozens and dozens of background characters to make a good show effective, which is why V works so good !! they have about five or six main players which allows the viewer to follow the action, a far cry from how bungled mess shows like LOST and flashforward have ''too much going on to ever keep up with'' i used to watch lost until they started adding all those new people they didn't need , nice direction on V last night by the way !! not choppy at all, and no vegematic slice em dice em editing fakery like on flash forward, which i watched one time but it left me ice cold. smart to see ABC run V against that horribly over rated ncis show, hope it takes a alien bite from their wildly inflated ratings.

Heroes
(2006)

easy to copy the XMEN isn't it GEESH.....
i know some producers are pure sleaze but good grief do u have to copy the XMEN story from marvel comics?? stan lee should sue NBC back to the stone age also a big turn off to have ali larter a white actress raising a black kid , that kind of stuff really offends viewers this show is all HYPE and with total and complete bogus emotions the so called special powers are nothing new same comic book stuff we've all seen over the last twenty years. to run this show three times in a row which nbc has been often doing only shows how desperate they are trying to cram it down peoples throat can't wait to see this bomb get cancelled and sooner the better.

The Hills Have Eyes II
(2007)

great cure for insomia but little else....
easily the worst movie i've suffered thru n the last five years.......horrible script and as i tracked on one site....they use the ''eff'' word 147 times GEESH !! i left about halfway thru this turkey and got my money back (as the small theatre here offers that a satisfaction guarantee deal) the first HILLS was rather fresh and well done and actually had some character definition , plus the lovely Aussie emilie deravin was in the first one last year ....

its pretty sad when the only backdrop for first hour of a movie is the same dull boring desert ......

ALSO numerous tech bogeys abound such as there is no such thing as the US national guard, each state has its own as commanded by each governor it should have been called the arizona guard in the script really an insult to our men and women serving by the over-heavy use of filthy profanity.

Accepted
(2006)

sweet summer surprise !! and the LoveLy Maria ....
man it has been a DOG of a summer for movies, how nice to find a smart and funny movie like ACCEPTED to turn things around !! sure wish they could have thought of a better title but oh well, thats minor compared to how good this film turned out , yes its familiar high school stuff and the last half hours borrows quite a bit from PATCH ADAMS , but beyond on that the casting is right on , red haired lovely Maria Thayer is absolutely beautiful !!! everyone else works too , the script is well balanced and does ask a lot of 'what if' questions that should be asked ! this is a upbeat FUN movie to see, lots of positive energy and a good soundtrack, by the way the big studio is not giving this movie hardly any advertising, word of mouth is though, we did a demographic feedback study at the screening I went to , and everybody liked it a lot, I am VERY glad this got made , congrats to all involved with ACCEPTED !!

The Wave
(1981)

NEW version coming soon !!
I am writing / directing & have just gotten the grant $$$ to produce a updated (though little has changed) version of this classic and dramatic story.....the same mindset of the nazi goons of the 1940's is a mirror image of todays discrimination and 'label makers' such as Greek frat groups that terrorize singular misfits who refuse to sell out like all Greek frats do , in order to belong to a twisted and perverted ''greater whole'', when a individuals own personality is melded and brainwashed into the mass mentality, obviously only mayhem and violence will ensue.

my film will be shot on location in columbus ohio , metro pop. 1,000,000 with a completion date of November 15th 2006

Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Kids
(2003)

excellent cartOOn on all counts........
this cartoon is by far better than any of the fake filler fluff Disney puts out, well written moral based lessons on life brought together by very good voice actors , i had no idea brooke shields was the mom spider ! very high end production values from the smooth animation to original songs, this is not scary for kids good grief , what kind of namby pamby wussy kids are being raised out there geesh !! there is one bug called bounce who isn't a bug but some kind of bouncing blueberry thing who is fun to watch none the less, this is what Saturday morning shows need to be, smart and legitimate not dumb and commercialized (disney) ---------------Todd

Hostel
(2005)

worthless garbage glad i got my ticket $$$ back so i could rent cabin fever !
horrible waste of anyones time, yes its true a person knows what this is all about b4 they walk n, only reason i went was to see the cheap euro chix to do the violence, once they showed up , i walked out , its that simple !

how sad eli had to sell out once he went bigtime , cabin fever was so well done on all levels it just worked great from the well cast actors to the fresh script and storyline to the production values, it was smart and original like a good movie should b.

i got hooked on cerina vincent after cabin fever !! who didn't ? haha but its truly sad how the garbage movie SAW has (badly) influenced a lot young directors, i only went to see saw 2 to catch lovely Canadian actress emannuelle vaugier, when all the dumb ( and thats what senseless violence without ANY rationale is ) came up i shut my eyes and turned off & tuned out, same reason the old movie fight club sucked so bad !

glad i got my money back from the nice ticket girl at the counter , i wasn't the only one doing this not by a long shot , there was a younger couple in front of me, i left and rented the well done cabin fever with gorgeous cerina vincent and i also austin powers to cheer me up from the nasty horrible taste of hostel !

Bones
(2005)

wow where did miss Emily come from ??? !!!
her mom right ha-ha !! well i watched this last nite and i must say Emily D is absolutely gorgeous !! kind of tall though but not a problem ......my guess is this show wont go beyond probably 6 eps so I'm recording every one now while i can ! she has a really sexy husky kind of voice, i was hoping she was from Canada but just saw her biog said Boston mass, o well she covers every trace of a mass accent flawlessly....this show is kind of dry & lifeless from the tech no babble of forensics and since a mix of romance and lab work rarely works well u get the idea.....also too many UN-needed characters here if fox were smart they would resurrect the Xfiles for another decade, it COULD b done and i can easily see Emily D as a new generation Dana Sculley maybe as a cousin or niece, replacing fox Mulder would b alas very difficult, however i will now b renting everything Emily D has ever done , really like her a lot !!
