Ocean's Eight
(2018)

These women know how to fool everyone :)
I was entertained all the way through this movie, what I like about this and the former manly edition is that you as the audience is somewhat fooled up until the end where everything is revealed.

Wonder
(2017)

Blown away
I watched this as a test screening and was not expecting anything, but it was really hearth warming and blew me away through out the entire movie, really, really good, very close to perfect.

Location, seating & time: Palads, København, Denmark - Bio 1, row 9 seat 5 & 7 - 04.10.2017 at 16.30

Flåklypa Grand Prix
(1975)

Just saw this again, on a big screen
It was really fun to see this old movie on the big screen, really enjoyed it and my kids did also, even though they thought it was ooollllldddddd :)

But we had a great time and fun to show them something from way back when, that wasn't digitally created and really was old school animation.

The Lego Ninjago Movie
(2017)

Like it, but not news anymore
The Lego Movie was very enjoyable, so was the "side" story about Batman, but this one is kind of not news anymore, yes it is a different Lego universe and yes it is fun for both kids and adults, but something is missing to make it really good.

The Hitman's Bodyguard
(2017)

I was greatly entertained
They really do make a great team Reynolds and Jackson, the first part was a bit ordinary, but when they teamed up it really became hilarious and entertaining. This is a classic action comedy in many ways, but the team really delivers and there are many funny moments, phrases and scenes :)

Logan Lucky
(2017)

Entertaining in a subtle way
This has kind of the same humor as Ocean 11 and the others have, it is a comedy, but seeing it right after a very bursting action comedy like Hit-man's bodyguard makes this seem a little dull actually. This is a great film, we were greatly entertained, but I think this film would have been better if we had seen it on it's own.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
(2017)

I love this universe
Both these film are great, mostly because of the crazy universe, the 80 references, the music, the humor, the characters and the colours :) This is now as great as the first, but it has to do with the god like creatures concept that I really find difficult, won't spoil anything ... so won't go deeper into that. The opening scenes is just fantastic, really cute, exhilarating and fits perfectly with the film.

Alien: Covenant
(2017)

I liked this one
I am a fan of Alien and I do like Prometheus, this actually does a great job of linking the films better together in my opinion. The first Aliens was really scary, maybe because I was a young kid, these new films are not the same, but I like them for their new way of scarring the audience.

The Emoji Movie
(2017)

Had a great time with my kids
Well maybe this isn't the best animation I have seen, but it has some great moments and the good thing with kids is that they typically transfers their enthusiasm to their surroundings and that makes the experience better :)

Despicable Me 3
(2017)

Family friendly, but missing news value
Gru is still a great character and everything and everyone in these films are entertaining, but they are beginning to fade a bit, they are fun, my kids and I had a lot of laughs.

Beauty and the Beast
(2017)

I was very moved by this, maybe I was in a vulnerable state ...
In any case I think this was very beautiful, following the story from the animation, really is a great transformation from animation to live action picture. The acting is good, the characters well portrayed and the visuals just as beautiful as the animation.

Transformers: The Last Knight
(2017)

Take it for what it is :)
I don't know why you are hating so much on this franchise, you should know by now what the promise is, it is nothing more then effects, a bit of story, good guy, clever girl and the fight to survive and save the planet, that's it nothing more, nothing less :)

T2 Trainspotting
(2017)

This will take you back to the same place
It's been a long time since I saw the first movie, but it sticks to you, you remember the characters, the scenery, bits and pieces stand out from the story and it is all-in-all a great memory. So it was with mixed feelings I was going to see the second film 20 years later, it better not be sheit, and it most definitely wasn't.

This is a great film, that looks back to the former film and really carries the mood into the new life of Renton, Sick Boy/Simon, Spud, Begbie and more. This is a an older, more mature film in many ways and yet it still has a lot of scenes that is still the same old crazy gang worthy, stupid ideas, wild fights, all the feelings of a good bro-mantic comedy/drama (love, hate, anger, betrayal) to mention a few.

If you saw Trainspotting back in the day and liked it, for whatever reason, the craziness, the weirdness, Edinburgh, what ever reason, this will take you back to the same place.

The Lego Batman Movie
(2017)

Good humor, great fun
The Lego movies are quite different from each other, this is a good thing because it is the same way in the real world, where you have Lego sets that belongs to specific "worlds".

The Batman movie does a great job and showing all the spoiled kids how not to be when they grow up :) It does have a lot of humor and makes fun of the whole batman universe in a way only Lego can get away with.

Sing
(2016)

Reality TV in an animation
There are some great voices in this animation and that's what keeps it together, the singing, the characters, the show, the entertainment, but the story and interactions in the movie is a bit shallow, maybe a bit too "coincident" that all these very different characters with very different backgrounds end up in this talent show.

It is a good thing following the struggles of the different characters, but they are all struggling to become something other then what they are and this is their only chance :)

Doctor Strange
(2016)

He is strange, Doctor strange :)
There is a lot of humor in this film, a lot of effects, a lot of beautiful scenery, well there is a lot of many things and it all works very well together.

I didn't know much about the comic or the background story, but it is all explained and gives the viewers a detailed look into the strange characters in this universe.

Rogue One
(2016)

This is a great prequel
This is the greatest Star Wars film to date, yes it wouldn't have been the same without the originals, but the fact that it takes so much from them and makes it all stick is just great to see.

My son and I went to see this film and we were very thrilled, before, during and after, it was just a good experience and what we had hoped for.

Assassin's Creed
(2016)

"real life" re-enactment of the games
My son and I was greatly entertained by this movie, we have both played the video games, me more then him :D and even though there is a lot of things that is not working when transforming a video game to film, this actually gets away with it pretty nicely.

There was a lot of computer effects, but it was very true to the games in many ways, this was kind of like a "real life" re-enactment of the games, so the computer effects and CGI was actually quite fitting the film.

Finding Dory
(2016)

I wasn't disappointed that much
Pixar still got it, there has been a lot of animations this year, but this was the one I expected the most from and I wasn't disappointed that much :)

It is always hard following up on a huge success like Finding Nemo, but Pixar is good at making sequels and this one was also really good, gave us some new aspects, some new characters and as always a lot of feelings.

This was a great film, everyone in the family was delightfully entertained, both about the story, the characters, scenery, well basically everything. But I couldn't help being a little disappointed, I had set my hopes too high.

The Secret Life of Pets
(2016)

Lovely insight in their secrets :)
Much of this film was as I expected it, basically the story is a very basic one, everything is good, the days go by as they use too, but hen trouble occurs and it turns the story around, but you have to see that for yourself :)

It has some great characters, mostly cute and cuddly, but also a few bad ones, they could be even more evil for my sake, but they are very kids friendly kind of villainous.

It is fun and games all the way, the entire family really liked it and we had a very good time in the movies with this one. The Danish voices are really good, but I will be looking forward to seeing it in English when it comes out on DVD/Streaming.

Roger
(2016)

Nice little short
This is a short little story, one that seems odd when reading about it, but actually does quite well when carried out.

There isn't a long time for it and it surprises that the lines in a short story can mean that much, but the story twists a couple of times where you think it is going to change, but then twists back to it's weird setup, they are two peas in a pot and one has become the third wheel and it just works and is funny.

I backed this on Kickstarter, you never know what you get in return when doing so, but they totally delivered on their campaign, it was a great little film, must have been strange to make, but also fun for sure. Hope the cast and crew get success and make more short and hopefully feature length films in the future.

The BFG
(2016)

A break away from the hectic everyday life
I had my two kids and their niece in the movies for this, 7 and 2x11 years old, it is not the fastest of movies and maybe it was more fitting for a different time in many ways, it is however a wonderful break from the hectic world outside and all kids including myself :) enjoyed this film.

There are many interesting scenes in this, many that becomes this fairy-tale kind of story, some that are beautiful & mysteries, some that are vivid & unbelievable, some that are scary & with a twist of fun, all of them are very much for the kids and so is the story, but as a grown up it is still a great experience and just try to have your kids retell what they have just seen afterwards is a joy (they notice things, we as adults do not).

I was entertained and think this is one for the kids to watch again.

Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens
(2015)

I love this new chapter
It is great to be back in this universe, I have been waiting for something new for a while, I guess many people have :) I love this new chapter, not a dull moment, many great characters and a lot of nostalgia that reminds me of the original three films.

I love that they brought back the original characters, that they are continuing the story where it fits the ages of the actors from the old films, but the new characters and actors fit in really well to the story and it is going to be a joy following them in the next films.

If you like Star Wars, this is just a great chapter, I think with a little explanation you are able to start from this chapter, if you are not into the "old" ones.

The Nice Guys
(2016)

They are nice, to some :)
Matching Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling in this awkward partnership actually works out very well, they are very true to their character, both a bit off in their own way, but together they really are the nice guys :)

It is the funniest film I have seen in a long time and it really deserves a lot of credit for keeping a good story and not just relying on slap-stick humor, it has both subtle and loud comedy, it has action and something going on all the time, but above all it has timing and precision in the way it delivers the story and how the characters handle the different situations.

Warcraft
(2016)

Fantasy film with a lot to tell
I haven't been gaming Warcraft in a long time, but just thinking back on the old games before World of Warcraft really brings good memories and I was hoping (before seeing the film) this film would not ruin those. I can truly say that it didn't, this is a good film, the characters are what they are, most know them or the side they represent, the story is true, the scenery's and the character visuals in this film are really good and really what brings this fantasy to life, it is like watching a big video game unfold and you wish you could control some of the characters at times :)
