Unlocked
(2017)

Easily 8 out of 10!
I was not familiar with the actress in the leading role. A film with both Michael Douglas and John Malkovich cannot be ignored. They both acted their socks off (As did the entire crew) this only got 6.2 - SERIOUSLY?????

Cell
(2016)

A GRUDGING SIX
I marked it as a six, purely down to two of my favourite actors (Cusack/Jackson), who could probably act their ass off a Chinese takeaway menu. The film itself was a MESS! LOTS of questions, very few answers, even at (especially at) the end. The 2 leads did a good job with an average script that had more holes in it than a fishing net. Still glad I watched it!

A LOT BETTER THAN 5.5
Going to avoid spoilers, so not going to write much! Acting = ABOVE AVERAGE! Shooting VERY GOOD - if you suffer from claustrophobia AVOID!! I like to think I am "more intelligent than the average bear." I needed to watch the WHOLE thing and it has twists and turns. ENTERTAINING - WORTH WATCHING!!!

Chernobyl
(2019)

SPEECHLESS!
If you decide to watch only one more drama before you die. (Can not think of a reason you would), then "Chernobyl" has got to be worth considering.

Amazing writing, great research, fantastic acting, cinematography, tension - it has the lot and will teach you quite a lot at the same time.

Being a "Brit", I remember having a very poor image of American TV (Sorry Sky - I know you were also involved.)

Basically, if it wasn't called M.A.S.H, it was probably not worth watching.

HOW TIMES HAVE CHANGED. I can think of several American series that have been wonderful.

The last time I saw something this good, I was watching "Band of Brothers."

Yes! It really is that good. EPIC TELEVISION, the like of which you do not experience often. - A MUST WATCH!!!!

Subconscious
(2015)

Tedious - Horrible Plot - Non-Existent Script
SPOILER ALERT I like films about submarines, I like films about time travel, so I should have enjoyed this, sadly not.

The holes in the script were as wide as the sea itself and the plot must have been written by a child because it just does not work.

A Professor gets 'hung-up' about the mysteries surrounding a locked submarine after the disappearance of his Grandfather in 1943.

He gets to board it in 2014 and WHAM! It goes on a mission (the submarine) without a crew or any visible means of navigation and 'pops up' in 1943, no explanation - the Government knows something but....

After a few adventures and losing a few things they are rescued in 2014 when it apparently all on it's own just goes back there.

Apparently the Government know all about everything because a modern day computer was found back in 1943.

They used it to win the war! The modern computer still took years to develop and this 'transgression in time' did not change time that much really (YEAHH RIGHT)

The submarine - in pretty battered shape was recovered in 2014.

Where was it when the intrepid time travellers got on it a few days earlier? They obviously got on it under the sea, not at the dockside at all??

LAME! A waste of 2 hours.
