Christ. The way some of you behave on here makes me wish the internet would go away. Remember the good times when everyone didn't have a voice? The world was better huh?
Before I go any further, let me say this. Electric State is a fun watch. It has a great cast and a unique script. It's simple. Was it meant to be Oppenheimer or some kind of classic? No. So why do you fools review it like it was? People need to learn a few things about how entertainment works. Netflix attaches a few stars to a simple script, gives it a fair budget, and boom they have a 90 minute movie in their IP. With the talent involved, Electric State should stay in their top 10 for a few weeks serving its purpose. Stop pretending to be some pretentious film critic who's reviewing Citizen Kane or something. Electric State is far better than it had any right to be, and the talented cast is worth your time alone.
Some of you will just never get it and because of your ignorance, you'll never enjoy anything. Have fun with that.

When we all could laugh? Have a sense of humor? The Duff reminds me of a simpler time when the keyboard warriors were still being mobilized. Just 10 years later I can tell you with 100% certainty that the movie wouldn't be made today. Not even for a streamer. This is an issue and a huge problem for me. Why wouldn't it be made? Take your pick. "It's too white". Even though this is false and The Duff actually has an extremely diverse cast, it still wouldn't be diverse enough for 2025. Spearing of 2025, the characters are too "heteronormative". Every friend group in entertainment must now be represent every race and sexual preference or else. Last but not least, even though they dumb down the plot with exposition and explain that DUFF doesn't actually mean "ugly fat friend", people need everything spoon fed to them these days and this name would hurt some feelings and we just can't have that.
Whew, with all that negativity gone. Let me tell you, I love this movie. A simple, fun plot. Great performances and chemistry by the two leads (Whitman and Amell) and a fun supporting cast. It bums me out that stuff like that won't be made ever again. I'd also like to point out that it's mind boggling that Mae Whitman wasn't more mainstream. She's beautiful, funny, talented, she has it all. I know she's worked consistently since she was a child, but I think this movie proves she could have lead more projects.
If you've read this far and you still don't know if you should watch the movie, I highly recommend that you do. The chemistry between Whitman and Amell makes me smile every time I watch. Jump in the Time Machine to 2015 when the world wasn't so terrible and just enjoy.

When the credits rolled on Dune Part Two and I got up to leave, it hit me that I hadn't moved for almost 3 hours. As our attention spans get shorter and shorter, it's damn near impossible to keep someone entertained for that long. Not only did I stay in my seat, but I don't feel like I blinked out of fear that I would miss something. The pace is perfect. It's beautifully shot and edited. The score is amazing. I thoroughly believe that even non Sci Fi fans would enjoy this film. It's a masterpiece. I also wanted to clarify something for others if they wondering. This movie is the very definition of a "part two" instead of a sequel. It finishes the story from part one and completes the first book of the dune series. Hopefully you see it as soon as possible. I also hope we all get to enjoy a 3rd movie in this series.
