Good Omens
(2019)

How is this rated so high?
My wife and I just finished this series which I'd have stopped watching after the first episode if not for her. After it ended she admitted that it was terrible, but the looks of disgust on my face amused her so she kept watching. Thankfully it was only 6 episodes.

I like the actors who were cast as the two main characters and they performed as expected, but the rest of the cast was utterly terrible. The writing and the story in general was poorly done. The special effects were extremely bad. I like a good biblical satire. "Lucifer" and "Supernatural" come to mind, but this wasn't good in any way whatsoever.

The fact that it is so highly rated here has me really questing the rating system. I cannot really think of a worse television show which is a really strong statement, but it's the truth. You have angels, demons, the devil, Armageddon, and David Tennent. How do you mess that up?

Blown Away
(2019)

It gets 3 stars just because glass blowing is really cool
It started off pretty well, but it quickly devolved into a liberal love fest. It seemed more important to the judges that the contestants bow before the altar of political correctness and the left wing agenda than it was that they produce high quality pieces. The winner of the show should have never made it to the stage she did, but her constant woe is me, I am woman, hear my oppression sob story along with her lesbian partnership, and poor simple minded religious mother ensured she'd not only survive, but thrive. Overall, it's watchable because it glass blowing and who doesn't like watching that, but I wouldn't recommend it to a friend.

Enterprise
(2001)

The best Star Trek hands down
I've watched most of the original series and all of the next generation, voyager, and deep space 9. I've seen all of the movies several times. Enterprise is hands down the best of them all. It only ran for 4 seasons primarily due to the franchise being overplayed. At the time they aired it, they had already saturated the market with Star Trek shows and movies. Also season 3 wasn't the best. 1,2,and 4 are incredible and some episodes from 3 are great as well, but the overall story left a lot to be desired. Thankfully they rapped up season 4 in a way that left the viewer feeling fulfilled. There were no cliff hangers. Everything was resolved. So feel free to watch the series know that your only disappointment at the end is that it is the end.It saddens me that the show had to come to an end, but I'm happy I was able to enjoy it.

Dunkirk
(2017)

Are the reviews even legitimate?
When I saw the rating and the rave reviews I thought maybe I was about to watch the next "Saving Private Ryan" or "Hacksaw Ridge". No. Just no. This movie lacked action, character development, and a script. It is a very untraditional war movie. Rather than heroic battles and men charging head long into certain death only to find victory waiting for them, "Dunkirk" is a story of men hiding, running, and simply trying to get home alive. Perhaps that was the reality, but reality doesn't always make for good cinema. I think a lot of the hype around this movie is because it is untraditional, but that doesn't make it good. It was boring.
