Saturday Night Fever
(1977)

Worst movie I ever wasted my time seeing
My husband and I watched this movie for the first time thinking it was a classic we somehow missed out on. We both would have been better off NOT seeing it. It was awful. The acting was horrible, the plot was lacking as storylines faded out with no real substance, it displayed a depressing family dynamic, a touch of gang rape, abortion and the worst dialogue I've ever witnessed. It was a mess. I love dancing but even that wasn't good enough to justify seeing this movie.

Good Boys
(2019)

This movie was hysterical!
Ignore the bad reviews, unless you're easily offended, then by all means take heed. Otherwise, this movie was non stop hilarity with an actual plot and a meaningful story. We laughed all the way through it, thought it was well acted and very well written. Sex is part of our culture and our youngsters know more about the subject than most adults want to believe. If you're not easily offended and you want to laugh your ass off, go see this movie!

Stranger Things
(2016)

Season 3 a total flop!
What happened? Seasons 1 and 2 were so good and then season 3 came along and ruined it all. Too much silly relationship drama and not enough plot. At one cringeworthy point it even turned into a musical from hell. Bring back the good writers please or I will not be watching season 4.

The Big C
(2010)

I loved this show!
I just finished watching the entire series and have to say I was pulled in from the start and found the show to be incredibly delightful in so many different ways. One minute you're laughing your ass off and the next moment you're fighting back the tears. The character development is phenomenal and the show is so well written as it portrays all sides of life: funny, sad, messy, awkward, raunchy and heart wrenching. Laura Linney's character and her brother were the anchors of the show, they both brilliantly acted their parts and had a strong unbreakable bond you don't fully recognize until the end of the series. It melts your heart. I loved the mix of characters over the course of the series, every character had relevance and depth. I honestly don't have a single bad thing to say about the show. Brilliant!

A Star Is Born
(2018)

A Snore is Born
I guess because of the rave reviews, I went into this movie with high expectations and was, unfortunately, sorely disappointed. What a snooze fest. The guy next to me was actually snoring in the theater. The characters are very one dimensional and the storyline was honestly rather boring, disconnected and totally fell flat. I didn't enjoy watching Bradly Cooper stumble and mumble around drunk for most of it and Lady Gaga's singing talent was mostly wasted on lackluster songs. The movie lacked depth and character development so it was difficult to be emotionally invested in the characters. I didn't even care that Bradly Cooper's character killed himself. If I had to say something good about this movie, I thought Lady Gaga did an ok job for a first time acting debut and I enjoyed a few of the songs. Mostly a disappointment. Hollywood, write something original already!

Mother's Day
(2016)

A great movie that is overly criticized!
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I'm surprised at so many of the negative reviews here that nit pick it apart. I watch movies to be entertained, to enjoy myself and this movie did just that. If you want a lighthearted fun loving movie, then you won't be disappointed. I don't think the point of the movie was to be deep or complex. To criticize the acting is silly- the cast did a great job for what the movie was. Plus it was about real life. People like being able to relate to painful real life situations portrayed in a funny way. This is a movie I'd wholeheartedly recommend to my friends or family. Will it win an Oscar? Doubtful. But it's still a great feel good kind of movie that is worth watching.

Dharma & Greg
(1997)

I love this show!!
I absolutely adore this show! I can't find anything else that quite compares. It's romantic, it's funny, it's witty, it's silly and it's fun. It's brilliantly written and acted perfectly with characters that actually make me laugh, unlike other sitcoms. It's the perfect example of how opposites attract and the comedy that ensues as the characters react to lifestyles or situations they wouldn't otherwise encounter. Above all, it's a show about love, respect and open communication. Dharma and Greg epitomize the perfectly imperfect fun loving relationship. I love watching re-runs (I bought the whole series) in my kitchen while I make dinner. It's light hearted, makes me feel good and entertains me while I cook. I only wish there were more episodes!
