Kim's Convenience
(2016)

Good wholesome family fun.
Loved this show. I saw clips on TikTok and had to check it out. I wish I had known about it sooner because we loved it. I'm half Cambodian and Mexican so family shows that make light of and highlight of some of the cultural idiosyncrasies are always fun to watch. Similar to the Goldbergs I identified with more than I thought and appreciate learning about what I didn't. I was devastated that the series came to an end and almost a bit more abruptly than I think it deserved. If you enjoy comedy, family laughs, cultural perspectives, friendship, strife, and current events then Kim's Convenience is a show you should consider watching. Short episodes, but sweet. We'll miss you Kim family and friends!

Love It or List It
(2008)

Great fun contemplating huge changes.
The prospect of finding a new home versus renovating an existing space is not an easy one. People often get stuck, have limited imaginations, and don't actually know what they want.

Hillary and David provide a compare and contrast and offer plenty of entertainment with their constant competitive banter.

I don't think clients are "stupid," I just think they need a hand in coming to terms with potential.

I find listening to the words of the clients and seeing what David and Hillary present and guessing before hand what the clients will choose is a fun game For my family.

One of my favorite home improvement/ real estate shows.

Making Modern with Brooke and Brice
(2021)

Easy to digest and full of beautiful ideas.
Title says it all: this series is easy to follow and digest. The ideas plenty and truly inspirational for those looking to personalize a space with taste or just perhaps just put a little cherry on top of a space that is mostly together. I'm not sure I see "Deep South" in their discussions about design philosophy, but if that is what they see - fine by me! Great energy and a bit funny dynamic.

Seance
(2021)

Surprising but not surprising.
A similar plot to Scream Queens. Still it felt different enough and definitely worth a watch.

Monster Hunter
(2020)

Fun movie adaptation of the game.
If you like monsters, action, fantasy, and don't mind a little whimsy, then you'll probably enjoy this film for what it is.

I barely know about the game on which it is based and that didn't make a difference what so ever - the premise is easy to understand and they don't try to be pretentious about it at all.

Scoob!
(2020)

A fun contemporary take on a classic.
Don't go in with expectations. Just sit back and enjoy it. Like when you were a kid. It's that simple.

Salt Fat Acid Heat
(2018)

Such a refreshing and gentle story about Salt, Acid, Fat, and Heat.1
I could feel the happiness in all of the chitter and chatter. Pride. Joy. From the Italian women, Samin, to the other hosts fantastic mouth watering educational fun.

Hotel Artemis
(2018)

What a delightful surprise.
I don't know what I expected, but for some reason I never got around to watching Hotel Artemis until tonight.

I'm glad I did and I regret not having watched it sooner.

A delightful story that's fun and not too serious despite the subject material.

If you liked John Wick you might enjoy this.
