A queer coming of age story without the drama! This has to be one of the best portrayals I've ever seen of a teen discovering his sexuality.
Nick's awakening to bisexuality was so real, and it showed us that you can come out at your own time, that your parents can be understanding, and you can do it while surrounded by an amazing group of people (Charlie and the gang)
I applaud the beautiful way this show approached the relationship between Nick and Charlie, they were always so respectful of each other and always very honest with one another
Heartstoper managed to show us that a queer love story between teenagers doesn't always have to be about the drama like the media always makes them about: forced come out, homophobic parents, toxic masculinity...
The writing is phenomenal, I cannot stress this enough! The acting is great as well! I mean, it all just fits together perfectly. I loved the secondary characters almost as much as I loved Nick and Charlie, and even the ones we're not supposed to like were very well written.
I don't think I've ever seen such a healthy portrayal of a bisexual teen boy, and I hope Nick and Charlie's stories help kids everywhere who are going through something similar
This show is so good and was so refreshing to see, I recommend it a hundred percent!
