Never Been Kissed
(1999)

Makes me cringe
Sweet idea of going back to high school to find healing and gain perspective on life. Reframing what one went through the first time and returning with life experiences to face the immaturity of high school again brings a nice feeling. What is tough in watching the movie (yes, I know its make belief) is the taking the suspension of reality this far.

Sweet that the character Josie won homecoming Queen after being a student for a few weeks but she denied a real student from that honor. Her brother playing high school baseball causes them to forfeit their games. How can a major newspaper secretly have one of their reporters go undercover as a student and record live underage students and faculty without permission and broadcast it back to the newsroom? Imagine the endless lawsuits by parents against the news corporation, school board, administrators... Just how quick did Mr Coulson begin flirting with his student? The ultimate cringe moment for me was immediately after she disclosed at Prom she was 25 years old and an undercover reporter, her teacher looks lovelorn and says to his former student, "I can never look at you the same..." "The same?!? Like when he thought she was his underage student? Even after she wrote her "Never Been Kissed" article about her undercover time at the school, she walks through the underage male locker room to ask permission to have an audience at the high school baseball. Even after embarrassing the school, she wants to tie a bow to her article to kiss their teacher she deceived. The suspension of disbelief on this one is tough.

My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman: Volodymyr Zelenskyy Special
(2022)
Episode 7, Season 4

Give an Emmy asap to Zelenskyy and Letterman
If this episode does not get an Emmy, they need to quit giving them out. Truly heroic and profound what it took to put this on and the sacrifices made to broadcast it. Letterman was on his A game. Zelenskyy is a hero in every sense of the word. Wow, what an episode. It was engaging and entertaining at the same time. Amazed at how humorous Zelenskyy was and how skilled Letterman was at asking the questions as the subway cars where zipping by. What a great interview! I will watch it a number of times. I hope Letterman keeps hosting these but if he quits after this episode, what a "Ted Williams" home run moment for him. Glad I have Netflix for thus episode alone.

Behind Enemy Lines
(2001)

Best ending ever
Love the last act especially Gene Hackman's main line, "I intend to put you in harm's way. Any man who does not wish to join this mission ... step away right now.... All right then. Let's go get our boy back!!!" I get tears every single time.

Designated Survivor
(2016)

Stop watching after season 2
Terribly disappointed in season 3. For an Independent President, the show seemed to cut and paste every hot button issue in the news today and preached from a far left viewpoint about it. Instead of an engaging storyline, the show became a commentary on our current election cycle from assisted suicide, election tampering, immigration, deportation, sperm donors, gene testing, Russian interference, etc. I love political dramas like West Wing, 24, and Madam Secretary but season 3 was a pathetic excuse for a political drama.
