Big Shot
(2021)

Seems there is still some good TV
I had some reservations going into this. A tv show about high school girls and a failed male coach - such a recipe for wokeness. Yet what we get is some intelligent writing that presents both sides to each issue and while you still get some wokeness, it feels far less 'preachy' and falls in line with the actual story being told.

So it seem my reservations were thankfully unfounded. My only criticism is I wish they had released all the episodes from the start.

Big Sky
(2020)

Should have been a miniseries
The show has a great cast and beautiful shots. The story started off well and kept you interested. However I think this show would have been best served if it had stopped after 5 episodes.

It just starts to feel as if the story has been told but the writers signed on for more episodes so tried to fill them with extra fluff. If it had been kept to 5 episodes, I would have easily rated it about an 8.

Batwoman
(2019)

Bad ...just bad'
The stale script, the one expression acting of the leading lady. You name the overused sterotype and you are sure to find it in this show. Honestly it makes Alicia Silverstone's portrayal oscar worthy in comparison. Better to pass on this one.

Stumptown
(2019)

Check your common sense at the door - good fun
This show is not a documentary and allows you as a viewer to check your common sense at the door and just enjoy the ride. The characters are slowly being developed and hopefully soon we will all know more and get to buy into them. As it is now after the pilot, they are pretty generic.

Almost Family
(2019)

Save your time and watch the Australian version
This is basically a copy of the Australian version called Sisters without the charm and quirkiness of the original. In it's place is an american version that feels like almost any other drama show on TV. Hopefully they can steer it back to what made this a great show in Australia

Designated Survivor
(2016)

Season 3 is crap
The first two seasons were pretty good but the third season seems more like a vehicle for propaganda with all the issues they are trying to dramatize within the storylines rather than the gripping drama from the first two seasons.

I definitely will not be returning for a season 4 if there is one.
