The Creator
(2023)

The Creator: A Flawed Creation Worth Watching
'The Creator' is a well made movie. But before I mention the positives, let me get the negatives off my chest. I got so many negative things to say only because I like this movie. Not sure if that makes sense.

Even before the start of the film, they claim that Nirmata is a Nepalese word. It is not. It has always been a Sanskrit word. That is a well established fact and is well known. Even the entire Nepalese language is derived from Sanskrit including its written script. It is nothing; but when movies get facts wrong, I don't feel good. Even the whole "Nirmata" plot felt too cringe, it's like a 'cult', surely they could've done something better.

Coming to plot, The USS Nomad is certainly cool. But they've established the fact that it ain't got no solid shields or defenses, since a plane they didn't want approaching USS Nomad, did approach it and ultimately led to Nomad's destruction.

That gets me to next point, which are the governments. Its like there is no other country with a govt other than the US. This "New Asia" contained parts of China & India both of which have nukes and are next to US in military power. Even if they establish the fact that this "New Asia" doesn't have nukes which they didn't, you don't need a nuke to take down the USS Nomad which is just hovering in the high skies if not low earth orbit. Simple SAMs, ASATs or air-to-air missiles could take the USS Nomad down. They've not established why New Asia govt hasn't tried to take down USS Nomad when it is attacking their people on their land. I mean countries don't even allow foreign balloons floating in their skies.

Both Maya and Alphie needed more screen time to better explain the plot and for the audience to connect and care for them, which didn't happen. While Alphie has a lot of screen time, I feel like it hasn't been utilized properly.

The setup to the plot felt more exciting and interesting than the film to be honest. The AI emergence, and AI nuking Los Angeles - I would give top dollar to watch a prequel.

That said, I loved so many aspects of the film. The initial sequence showing the history was awesome. The visuals, cinematography, & VFX was top notch. The plot while not great is decent enough if you look over the plotholes. You wouldn't feel bored while watching the movie, it's entertaining. I am just happy that such ambitious, original sci-fi movies are still being made.

Operation Valentine
(2024)

Correct representation which makes it entertaining.
Anyone who knows the technical details and exact events that happened in real life, will appreciate this movie. This movie correctly depicts almost everything that happened in the Balakot air strike.

Comparing this to "Fighter" movie which was made with 5x times more budget than Operation Valentine got almost every detail wrong. "Fighter" movie over powered the enemy and under powered the protagonist, not only that they got all Fighter Jets used in the operation wrong. They added dance numbers and made it a commercial movie, which is why it did more numbers.

"Operation Valentine" on the other hand correctly depicted almost all variants of fighter jets used in the operation, along with getting all events true to real life. To Finish off, It doesn't just get the technical details right, it is also a good entertainer. But if you're looking for dance numbers, you should look elsewhere. I could only imagine what they could've done with a budget similar to big budget movies.

Good Time
(2017)

Good Time? More Like Bad Time. Annoyance ISN'T Artistry.
Good Time has a pulsating modern soundtrack that tries to inject energy into this aimless crime thriller. The soundtrack is mixed so loudly that dialogue is often drowned out entirely. Certain scenes drag on painfully long without purpose. There's a scene where the characters fumble around in pitch darkness while the camera shows us nothing. There's one scene where a dog barks continuously for over two straight minutes. Any interesting character development is smothered by the disorienting editing and directing.

The story held promise exploring two brothers and their relationship, but the execution was abysmal. Robert Pattinson and Benny Safdie did their best with the script, but the pointless meandering plot wasted their talents. The film seems to build empathy for the brothers reuniting, yet takes things in the complete opposite direction for a deeply unsatisfying conclusion.

The story follows brothers Connie and Nick as Connie tries to bail out Nick after a botched bank robbery. The actors give it their all. But the script wastes the cast, choosing style over substance at every turn. Perhaps most disappointing is how the film denies the audience any emotional payoff, refusing to bring the brothers together in the end. Good Time is a hollow crime drama that mistakes frustration for artistry.

The Recruit
(2022)

Criminally underrated and This show sets a benchmark for how Spy Action series should be
To the Point, Fast Paced, Spy action thriller.

I have only seen this show because I read a review on IMDb saying this doesn't bore you nor does it go slow, and they were right.

This show puts all the shows to shame which have only 8 episodes or less in a Season and yet waste half the episodes setting things up and be boring. This show is unlike anything and yet feels so familiar, maybe because I always wanted to watch such a fast paced show. I have never seen a more entertaining show.

I was disappointed half way that there were only 8 episodes. Whether or not this show gets renewed for S02, I hope show runners of upcoming series are taking notes on how to make an extraordinary show.

Brahmastra Part One: Shiva
(2022)

Naagin Season 2 now in IMAX 3D
410 crores spent on useless cringe characters, Huge costly sets, Bad dialogues, and unnecessary songs. If they spent even a part of that budget on developing a good story, the movie would've been good. Even the stunts are not good, you can clearly tell where stunt men are replaced with actors. All songs are bad except Kesariya song and one single frequently used Background music. Huge potential wasted. Looks like Ayaan inspired from Naagin, Harry Potter, Shang Chi, and made a serial in IMAX 3D.

If you want to see Naagin serial with lighting and 3D effects, you can watch it. Else I recommend you skip this one.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
(2022)

What If Strange Supreme Episodes > Dr Strange Multiverse of Madness
In my opinion What if episodes with Strange Supreme are better than the Multiverse of Madness Movie.

I enjoyed the movie. But it could've been so much more. Huge potential wasted. Like others have said, Wanda eats up too much screen time of Doctor Strange and she doesn't make sense. All the character development from WandaVision goes to ruin in this movie. That dialogue at the end in WandaVision: "They will never know what you sacrificed for them" makes you even more cringe after you watch this movie as Wanda goes on a killing spree. And Wanda never pays for her actions not in WandaVision and not in this movie.

Marvel is confused about the Multiversal rules. In No Way Home, spells can cause travel between Universes, In Loki: you can jump between Timelines and TVA watches over all timelines and yet they haven't made an appearance outside Loki, and finally in this movie, you need a special power to open portals between universes like America Chavez.

Nitpicking little things I didn't like: Vision hasn't been addressed in the whole movie and across the Multiverse; Wanda somehow takes way more time to kill Captain Carter than to kill Mr. Fantastic; Underwhelming mid credits and end credits scenes; Wanda from illuminati's universe needed more dialogues and more screen time; Not much Horror as promised; The scoring was meh expect for musical battle and climax.

Moon Knight
(2022)

Awfully bad
Not a single connection/reference to the MCU, Zero Action scenes in all 6 episodes (All the action happens off screen), Full of melodrama, Boring.

The only good thing is the main character Oscar's top notch acting but that doesn't help when you have a lackluster script.

The Flash
(2014)

I take my 10 star rating back.
I was a huge fan of this show. I recommended it to everyone I know. But the show got so bad in the last few years that I got confused whether I was watching my favorite show or a soap opera. The Flash apparently is the "pArAgOn oF LoVe" and he can defeat enemies with love. No Kidding. He defeats and befriends his enemies by just talking with them. I get he doesn't want to kill but why doesn't he break his enemies' legs? He lets them escape every single time. And the characters. The Flash is just a guest cameo star on the show. The show gives more screen time to useless boring characters which don't serve an iota of purpose to the story. Chester the new tech guy, Allegra who is a doppelganger of Nash Well's daughter, Camilla (Cisco's girlfriend) and Sue Dearbon (Cheap ripoff of Black widow). Who the hell wants these characters? Give us The Flash. If you can't do that, then end the show. Even for the brief time we get to see The Flash, he is made to be the dumbest of all. Can't even stay put without having a pep talk every half hour.

Things which the writers have forgotten: Time Travel (forgotten) Time Remnant (forgotten) Flash Time (forgotten) Speed Mirage (forgotten) and countless other powers of the Flash which Flash hasn't used for 2 years or more.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
(2021)

If you skip this series, and watch Sam & Bucky in the next MCU Film, you'd miss nothing. There is nothing important that happened in the entire 6 episodes.
This is like those Filler episodes which we get in year long TV shows.

You can skip watching it and nothing happens. The shield is still with Sam and he gets a new suit. And? That's it.

Take Shelter
(2011)

I increased the playback speed to max and the pacing was still slow.
Seriously though. I set the playback speed at 2x speed and still it felt like pacing of the movie was so goddamn slow. This is a 5 minute short film morphed into a 2 hour boring movie. I wouldn't even recommend you this movie even if a 5 minute version is available. That's how bad this is. There is no story. After seeing all these reviews, I thought I was in a for a treat but I've never been so wrong.

96
(2018)

Overrated useless film
There is no story. No point in making the movie.

The movie is overly overrated.

Shikara
(2020)

Propaganda ka baap
They mocked Hindu gods in PK. They whitewashed Sanjay Dutt's terrorist side and replaced underworld Dawwod with a hindu. Now they whitewashed Muslims' atrocities in Kashmir. Don't encourage these pseudos.

Searching
(2018)

One of the Best Thrillers I've watched.
I never knew that a film can even be told/shown like this. A new and interesting way. The suspense in this movie is amazing. Best movie I've watched in a while.
