Camera Café
(2003)

Great serie for a short break
Camera Café is an Italian sitcom produced from 2003 to 2012 and adapted from French original format "Caméra Café" created by Bruno Solo, Yvan Le Bolloc'h and Alain Kappauf.

The special feature of this series is the setting, all episodes are filmed with the same shot: a hidden camera in the relaxation area of the coffee machine. The episodes have all the average duration of "a coffee break" (5 minutes) which does not allow to the viewer to get bored while watching.

The interpretation of the actors represent, in a serious way (sometimes burlesque), the dynamics of a working environment where "the biggest prevails on the smallest"; to each character is assigned a specific personality that reflects, in part, their way of dressing, for example: Luca Nervi, who always wears a short-sleeved shirt and a pair of dark trousers, is the figure of colleague stingy to which you must always offer a coffee; Paolo Bitta, the seller with a reckless life, always wears elegant clothes in pastel colors and always gets into trouble because of his attachment to the Pino's schnapps; Silvano Rogi, the typical example of an adult child who must continually give an account to his mother, he is always a victim of Luca and Paolo jokes.

The overall recitation quality is good, but some of the secondary characters (like Andrea, Alex and Giovanna) are not up to par. The sense of humor of this television evening is based, mostly, on the misunderstandings that occur between colleagues (which makes everything more addictive). In my opinion this TV series, especially the humor, is very smooth and recommended for a short break.
