Watchable but unfortunately messed up with modern society notions and values on relationships time travelling back to 1883 to a time when they just didn't exist. There is no way that Elsa's parents would have allowed their daughter free rein to go off as she pleases and mess around with all sorts of men. In that respect Taylor Sheridan has pulled a real clanger and too much focus on Elsa and her relationships kind of ruined the series. More accurate parent/daughter attitudes correct to the period and how young females were expected to behave would have made it all more believable. Taylor Sheridan I don't feel is the best or most exciting writer out there, some of his work is a bit dreary, this isn't too bad on that front, but too much time spent on the whole Elsa relationship/modern values in old west thing that could have been better developing the story in other respects.
