Suzume no Tojimari
(2022)

As a Japanese it's a heavy movie
I didn't know it was about the earthquake and 311. I wasn't ready at all. For the people who don't know about it, it would be a great adventure anime which has a comedy aspect. But for me, it was pretty heavy.

I don't think it has a crying scene but I cried like a baby at the scene that reminded me 311 also made me think of the people who lost their loved ones on that day by the earthquake and tsunami.

About the people who didn't come home after they left their home in the morning...

I was living in Tokyo back then so I'm not in the position to talk about it much but This movie is special for us I think.

I don't know if I can watch this movie again after knowing what's this about now because it's a lot for me.

For the animation and story, I would rate it 8-9 but for the people who became stars above on that day and people who lost loved ones, I rated 10.

Oh btw my husband who is an American said it was a great movie so it's for everyone :)

To the people planning a trip to Japan, I recommend looking up about what you all should do if an earthquake happens in Japan juuuuust in case. Hope it helps you and have a wonderful time there! :))

(Sorry for my poor English and thank you for reading.)

Very calm and realistic, a great interior design
I'm a Japanese who lives in the U. S. and English is not my first language so please allow me my poor English.

It was very calm and touching. Not too drama but realistic. I mean I've never been in a similar situation so it's weird to say this but I meant it was not like a roller coaster type of story and it just made me think of a lot of things that'll happen in my future for real and what's "love" quietly.

And whoever likes an interior design, especially for a minimalist, you'll love it. Not just interior, the designs of all of objects in this movie even the text box are very sophisticated. Also I love the couple's way of talking which is calm and peaceful and perfectly matches with the designs of objects. The scenes in the tranquil forest and well designed interior are just beautiful and relaxing.

My husband said it was too slow but I didn't feel like that way. I felt even the slowness matched the whole movie. It's interesting that how people feel differently. And in my case, I felt calm and relaxed after watching it. How about you?

Not just a skateboarding film
I'm a 46 years old woman who is originally from Tokyo. I love street culture and watching skateboarding and that's why I started to watch it but actually this is not just a comedy nor skateboarding film. I really enjoy their natural conversation and it is very impressive how they express people's daily subtle feelings and emotions. I got so emotional at the end of the season 1. I'll watch this show over and over. Well done.

This is so Japan! Super funny
OMG this animation is so hilarious. I'm Japanese who spent most of my life in Japan and misses my home country but it's so Japan and so much detail about daily life in there and that cracks me up. If you like comedy and know about how Japanese yakuza look like, this is for you! I guarantee you are going to love it. Personally I like this one better than Back Street Girls(like it too though).

Each episode is very short and looks as if you're reading a comic. Just watch wihout any expectations lol I'm so glad I found this. Can't believe it has only 5 episodes! Want to watch it more!!!

Made me think a lot
This movie made me think or remind me that

>Focus on what we have and the present and future not what we lost and the past.

>Not choose between not facing it and fighting, choose the different option, "accepting the fact and moving forward".

It is a beautiful moment when she remembered how her baby looked like and the happiness when she just came into this world.

And Vanessa Kirby is outstanding. I love her outfits too.

Well done!!
I'm not a big fan of a competition type of tv show but love interior design so ok let's try this out! then it turned out to be a great show!

What I like about it are...

1, The competitors look so good together, no fighting no crazy drama and felt good vibes from them. Their passions inspired me.

2, They are all so talented and about the same in quality so must be a tough decision for the judges. I really enjoyed and was excited what they achieved. But the result of the competition still make sense to me.

3, The location is in South Africa and it was so fun to see their collaborations with local artists and vendors!

If you love interior design, I do recommend this show! Can't wait the next season!!

Great story but it's just too slow
I liked it a lot but too long for that story. It must have a reason it has to be from 9 episodes but they could have made it much shorter like 4-5 episodes. If it's like that short I would have rated it 9. You might even be able to watch and catch up it from episode 5. There are lots of scenes aren't necessary even though it needed to build the characters and give us hints. Still they could have made it much shorter l believe. In that case, I wanted to watch it while doing something else but had to read captions and needed to pay attention the details as it sometimes gives me the hints. So had to concentrate and felt like it wasted my time. If you have enough time to enjoy it, I do recommend this.

The World's Most Extraordinary Homes
(2017)

The most annoying host lady ever
If she's not on this great tv show, I would give it 9 or 10 but she ruin this amazing show about breathtaking beautiful houses. I wanted someone who is intellectual, calm and polite to be the host. They absolutely should get rid of her when they make the next season.

Inspired by Japanese anime?
I like the cool action a lot. I guess it could be inspired by Japanese animation 'Inuyashiki'.
