Look. You have heard it all before. I went to this thinking it would be an EXORCIST movie and have it connected in any way shape or form, with of course the expectation of it being entertaining and Friggin Scary. However the expectations and advertising promises did not match up. There were huge massive gaps in the plot for one of the children. There was guilt and emotion seen in the father of one of the kids, but absolutely no explanation. The same thing with one of the priests, with again No Explained reasoning. Then that kid was Dragged To Hell and no one even bats an eye! Yea. No rescue attempt, no grief, little to no emotion at all for her. The other one has a very weak reason to connect with a ghost. Not the Demon, nor any Demon, just a ghost. No name, no history, and the only possibility is the blessing that the mom gets in the beginning of the film. Maybe it was a curse instead. However not both of them as both kids were the same age, no just one mother.

And there is the sad connection to the past, yes. The mother from the original was there after she wrote a book and became famous. She has a wealth of knowledge and understanding about this stuff. So they send her in and she gets her ass kicked within 50 seconds and doesn't go back at all. Oh then the original kid shows up at the end of the film and there is no idea where she was or what she was doing , which would have been a perfect time to connect her to the story, (maybe she spent some time in Hell and got out, maybe she has spent her life becoming extremely powerful or she was seen in isolation for the past 50 years because of Fear. Nothing, no explanation. At best this movie was a good excuse to eat some popcorn in the theatre. No other plus to it. See something scary this Halloween, don't see this one.

As we enter a world in fiction of alternate universes and multiple cross overs with and between the complex entering a multi timeline universe. Luckily this is not part of the timeline or the Cannon universe. I know. When I first saw this it Angered me. The entertainment universe that I came to Love and admire, the one that moved me throughout my young life came to an abrupt halt within the first few minutes of the movie. It was something that I couldn't understand. I admired these movies and it was just ripped from its universes existence.

But this movie was actually very ahead of its time. You see, this is taking place in an exactly different universe, not timeline mind you. You see the difference is subtle but huge. A timeline can be altered but everything within it exists. All of the very important events that make it happen exist within its spectrum. A different universe however may have connected points, however they have absolutely nothing to do with what happens in the other. There could be subtle differences or severe major ones. The most important thing is is that they are not connected in any way shape or form. Yes. That is how you got two wildly different worlds. Two vastly different heroes, and overwhelmingly vastly different stories that are being told. The difference in example to our world is the battle of Waterloo compared to the battle for Katar.

Marvel, DC, Top Cow they all have entered Multiverse a few years ago. This film was simply the first for Terminator.
  • Well. There has been worse Marvel movies. But I really expected more. This plot was confusing, didn't follow any kind of story. The acting was a mess, probably because the director didn't know what to do with it. It definitely had Aquaman storyline copied out from it. Then it also had this clear different story, in the same movie, about a queen angry and vengeful with the world. They tried to make an evil Warlord the good guy and failed at it. But it was confusing as the two stories don't blend. A bad guy can't be the good guy when the other guys need to look like the good guys. A single movie can't have both when both of them want to destroy and rule the world.

It makes you choose who you want to root for. And has no clear direction for either.
  • Girls and Guys. I have a treat for you. Blake Stone is one of the Top Games back in the Day. Apogee really knew what they were doing and have always had a keen eye on what people got excited about. Yes.

There was Wolfenstein, there was Doom, and then there is this game. It was Apogee's first Masterpiece on their own in the 3D realm. You are a Kickass spy stopping the evil plans of some Evil Rich Asshole. There is Space Travel, mutants, and You get to put the Boot to a Rich Corporation. But be warned. There are Civilians in this game and you should at least Try not to shoot them.

Duke Nukem was a Brilliant Game with Macho tropes but if you are looking for it's creators to create something a little different. This could be your Jem.
  • I have been waiting a long time for something actually funny to come along in the marvel universe. When they were talking about an actual comedy show I figured it would be a serious plot driven action "comedy" with little funny parts to it. Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for Daredevil, the Punisher! And Jessica Jones. But they are hardly what anyone could consider a comedy. They are there to make you cry and startle. Far from comedy. This is a well welcomed actually funny show that doesn't need to be anything more.

Comedy is comedy. That is what marvel needs.

As for the show I am enjoying it. It's about her, cool. But not everything in the whole show revolves around her. She does talk to herself, cheap. It's true. But I'll let it pass.

There doesn't always have to be a plot and an infinite bad guy. Some people just like to laugh.
  • I certainly was hoping for better than what they have. After seeing all of the Original Movies and reading the books there was soo much more and deeper than they did do. Why they changed the characters is beyond me, but I suppose when it came to source material from that era it was pretty sparse. Which does conclude, it didn't need to change anything. I mean the acting is OK, the action is wanting, and the plot is something that could be expanded on. I wasn't expecting a huge thing but they certainly should have done better.

Why buy the greatest trilogy of all time and underwhelm? Nice hair though.
  • Yes. This was a dark Comedy, I could tell right away. The whole Batman being poorer than he is originally, the whole him walking around being stupid and unable to figure stuff out, and yes the comedy of the Joker (who was well cast) his jokes landed well.

So. I got all that, but the reason I gave this only 5/10 is because this took way to long and halfway through the movie it took itself far far to seriously.

It was as though there were two different movies cut and paste into one. This started out strong and you knew who the good guy was and who was the bad guy, good stuff. Then you find out the good guys are corrupt and the Bad guys are fighting for Good? To the point where the story barely even mentions them anymore. The main villain is a side note in his own film.

Like I said, it started as engaging and the jokes were landing well. The action was good. But it went sideways.

I don't know why, but it is what they wanted to do. So. This is what we got.
  • Wow. I just re watched Ghost Rider number one. Great friggin film I have to say it out loud. Initially I gave this work of art a 7/10. Now to be fair, this came out in the days just passed the Lord of the Rings trilogy and Batman the Dark Knight( except the third one, it wasn't made yet andwe don't talk about that one). So we as mature movie fans got spoiled due to Great works and masterpieces that conquered our cinemas back in those days. Now compared to those, this film was not quite there.

I have endured with complete loyalty the MCU and it has lacked far far more than this film has given without much of an effort. The greatest of all of them being Avengers, which came out in 2012. That was the Apogee of the series. And without any spoilers I am simply asking Marvel fans to re look at what this fun action packed adrenaline fuled film has to offer. Because there has been far worse that had come out and attained far more points than it deserved. Ghost Rider was there in the beginning and the CGI does reflect that, but it should be held to all MCU standards. It did exactly what It set out to do, and damn it I'm not afraid to say that I am happy to have seen it in its full glory again.

I get that people want to recreate the magic and wonder of Highlander. It was a historical and action adventure epic. This was trying to be three or four different films in one. There was a female Indiana Jones, who was afraid of Water? A solid WW1 action movie with a U-boat and everything. And to top it all off a pirates of the Caribbean movie all at the same time. The overall plot though centred around this Highlander character that was centuries old by the time we get to see him. And then there was some identity politics that didn't need to be there. The thing was it should have been Great. Every major character was played by a serious Actor! It had major stars lined up around the corner in this movie.

This would have worked well if they just settled down and found one direction To go in.

Everyone loved Highlander when they saw it, but many forget that the deep storytelling took time. It was not a quick fast paced movie with Action coming out of every twist, and there were several turns in Jungle Cruise.

A great film takes its time to tell you what is going on, and it provides clear Direction.
  • There was this golden opportunity to create a bad super man type situation. But they completely blew it. And it is such a shame. The Boys is a brilliant and exciting show, but this dropped the ball hard on it. The trailers raised expectations to a great movie. But it sank.
  • Just as the title says. This movie was a slow uneventful film that called itself Horror. Without spoiling anything for you I will say this. It seemed as there were two halves of a movie pasted together, the beginning was uneventful, slow, draining, and overdraumitized. As though it was nothing more than a poor excuse for a high school Art project, lacking creativity and passion in all senses. Then the movie flips, and you see the actual storyline. This turned into an exciting thrilling, and Horror filled film at the end. It even threw in a good classic Horror ending. Damn smart move I say. That is what I gave a 7/10 for. The later half of this film. Other than that, it would have been a one. Good Job guys. Not too shure if they did it intentionally but it saved the movie.
  • Well I played it. And it really was something awesome. I was obsessed with it for about a Month! Beat all the levels, kicked the Crap out of the Final Boss in World Tour, not as impressive as prior ones.
  • Welcome to Arrogancein it's pure form. For those that have not seen this film I won't spoil it for you, just be aware that the attitude of the lead Documentation is one of complete distaste for any belief or lifestyle that is beyond or different from his. This individual (again, no spoilers) has an absolute belief of how people in the world should be eating and surviving. Throughout this film you see this person promote his lifestyle, (which is one that few can fallow due to the risks of Starvation and Malnutrition), and attack aggressively all other options of alternative diets and meal preparation. Throughout the film there are very important environmental concerns and issues that are brought up, though not by him. This being done to show legitimate concerns of health. Experts brought in are intelligent and accurate on their research, however this is all being overshadowed by the Rude attitude brought forward by the main interviewer. It is highly unfortunate. It took me 2 showings to Finnish this movie, due to the Arrogance of this one Documentarian.
  • No other game of the era could have come close to topping this record breaking high action brutal fest. This was the one, and in 1995 it had its day. I did play the Arcade version as well and that outranks every game for a long shot so, to be fair I am only talking about the Super Nintendo version that I still own. The graphics were top of the line, the fighting and combos were nothing that was ever seen before and there were multiple different ways to Finnish your opponent. This also not done before.

The SNES version was second to the Arcade version but it was a definet must have to play back in the day for anyone who enjoyed fighting games. 10 stars doesn't even cover it, but for now it will have to do.
  • Yes. Truly revealing, one of those shows that makes you take a look at some of the country's surrounding yours. This is a dark look at a future that can easily be seen for the USA, but it is still Si-Fi Apocalypse. Handmaiden Tale is something that can easily have had roots in Religious Dominated cultures. Yes this does bring to quick mind Saudi Arabia where it is not hidden at all that women have no rights. But in cultures of extreme Religious beliefs found throughout the world and including in North America and Australia, this paints a chilling picture of what could be if these religious extremists gain control over a society, and the deaths the people of power would go to control their population to enslave them.

Yes. Yes. YES. I can't believe that they have it here, listed on this site. This was my first game that I got my little hands on way back in the day that I bought new. Or should I say my Parents bought for me new. I mean don't get me wrong, it was in the bargain bin and about 5 years old at the time. It was a treasure to me. I had an old computer and it ran smoothly on it. So. The story goes as such. You are Blake stone back for action. (I bet you didn't know that this was a sequel). And this intergalactic DB created a doom ray that can take out a planet. Now it is up to you, being a spy and all, to stop them.

Back in the day I know you had Doom and Wolfenstein. This game works in a different way. There are civilians in the game and if you shoot them you are a bad player. Also you need to collect bio scans to get to the next level. It is kind of a tricky one. Then there are these cans of explosives that you put in certain places to destroy the device. There is one on every level. Classic and enjoyable all the way.

The cheat is JAM Enter. Hold all the keys.
  • I can't believe I found this here on IMDB. I remember going to my Mom's work and playing this for hours. Back in 1997 when you were 8 years old and poor, (because you were 8), you may not have had a Gameboy, or a Gamegear. This is what there was to do when she was doing paperwork, remember that too? A pile of papers, so this was it on a work computer. Yea. The game goes like this. You are surrounded by mines in this digital minefield and need to find and flag all of them. Won't spoil it for you, but if you don't already know you are probably a Z and perhaps never will.
  • I am currently playing it for PlayStation. Heck of a good game and solid storyline. It even has Gimley from Lord Of The Rings. Fascinated with every Mission. Very Difficult though. Hard to get all the way through without cheating. I rate it second to Command and Conquer Red Alert. Solid 8. P.S. it is a long campaign as there are 3 sides so if you are interested in playing it i'd Set aside a good month.
  • Well. With the exception of my picking it up at a garage sale in the early 2000's I most likely would have missed it entirely. I am a huge fan of the game and my 8 year old mind was Blown Away from the live action film. This small piece of MK history is important as it pre-dates MK3, which was the massive change of the series,(as every game since them has been made from it. This film is the missing links from the charactors that we did not fully know about at the time. Plus after the movie they had cheat codes for MK3. That was nice. Good little cartoon with crummy CGI. Enjoyable for a fan.
