Terrible Film How anyone could give this film more than one star is beyond me. I can't believe people actually get financing to make this amateurish drivel.
It does not matter that this is a low budget film It doesn't cost a nickel to realize that a test pilot, any test pilot, would not behave the way this astronaut behaves. A full 90 minutes of screen time for one actor is a challenge. But giving this one actor lines like "Come on Hermes! Come on Hermes! Come on! Come on Hermes! Come on!!!" will not help the actor with his credibility as an astronaut. The director doesn't even give the viewer a clue as to what the guy is doing with his controls. Perhaps they couldn't afford a technical adviser, but at least Google "1950's flight stick" to become familiar with what he SHOULD be doing if his capsule is rolling. It isn't rocket science! This director and screen writer seem to think the technical knowledge of a British astronaut would be limited to replacing fuses, verbal coaxing and sharp swats of the control panel.
If you make it through to the end, secure your eyeballs from rolling right out of your head.
You have been warned.
