Devs
(2020)

Just don't
I really love Alex Garland, but this was a disappointment. This is not a series, it's a feature film with 6 filler episodes. Even when it's really well done like the pilot, soon you get to realize is just a gimmick to spend more of your time. So you be watching episode 3 and the protagonist will discover things the audience knew on the pilot, but we should be ok with this because of change in point of view. But in fact, you don't get anything new in episode 2 and 3. And what is new soon it's left behind because it never really mattered. And the science about it is somehow twisted for the convenience of the plot. In episode 6 I tough know we are talking about, but the big climax they promise is not delivered. For me, some of the best concepts of the show are in episode 6. At the end, Devs thinks itself as supersmart but believes so little in the audience they even explain the title during the climax. What a turn off. In some other multiverse I made better choices and didn't watched it.

Astonishing
Recently I've been watching lots of YA and teen contents, and I must say this is an astonishing show. In a way is really baroque but contemporary, allegorical but realistic. I'm very curious about how a second season for this is going to be, because now it looks like something in between. And I must say there's a lot of things that completely looks like thought for our times and this was written and shoot before corona virus. Kudos.

Love it
A refreshing take on youth nowadays. Very straight forward and character driven. I think I don't engaje so much with tv characters in a very long time. They're relatable and we believe in their friendship. Sometimes the plot is so simple it hurts, but the scenes and the development are amazing, so I frequently forget all the little problems.

Loved the ideia but the development is poor
Everyone introduce themselfs with their character profile." Hi, my wife died". Or "This is so difficult, I don't have any kids". The writers think we would care for things we don't know yet. And the characters are so flat, we don't have a chance to wonder anything... When I saw about this series I thought the ideia is great, something like 12 angry men, but the development turned me down. I couldn't pass through the third episode.

Funny and feel good movie
I wish I liked more. Don't get me wrong it's a good movie, very well executed and acted but in a way feels like we have seen this a thousand times. And don't look any different. I don't think just making it about two girls protagonist brings all the refreshing the critics were talking about. Still it's a funny and feel good movie I just think had much more potencial in it.

Dark

One the greatest
This is amazing. I've watched a lot of things in this quarentine anda i must say, this is by far one of the greatest tv series in this generation. Besides that it's so dense it's not a show to binge watch and you have to pay attention to not lose anything.

Never Have I Ever
(2020)

Binged it
I wish I could know a little more the friends and the plot was not so centered in the romantic relationship but still not the average teen comedy. Refreshing, light and really binge-worthy.

Eighth Grade
(2018)

Sweet and melancholic
I think Bo Burnham is genius but i didn't know his potencial in moviemaking and this movie is just like his comedy specials: fun, sad, cringey, honest and emotional. The writing is clean and clear, every scene is used to reveal characters, how they feel or their relations. The acting is amazing, making you relate ever more with the protagonist. Kayla fells so real. A character I would like them to visit back in some years. I can't wait to see who she became.

Late Night
(2019)

Fun and simple
I didn't expect to much and was really surprised. Thompson is amazing and so honest. Easily this could have been a caricature, but there's something really human here that makes it real.
