And God Created Woman
(1988)

ONE of Frank Langella's BEST movies EVER!!! like OMG!
First off.. If I could rate this movie more than 10, I would; to say this movie is "excellent", is a total understatement. A lot of user reviews on this movie are saying its basically crap.. Um.. NO!!

Im a HUGE Frank Langella Fan.. and I remember my first reaction.. it was the same as my second reaction, watching it last night. (more on it below ;) )

The basic story in the movie is Rebecca DeMornay's character, Robin Shay, marries a man she met while "breaking in" to prison.. Just to get out of Prison again.. She starts an unlikely friendship between the Governor to-be, James Teirnan ( played by Langella <3 ) So the marriage is not going too great, and they both cheat... Rebecca's character with Frank Langella's character. She starts up a band, with her brother in-law and other guys, and after being caught having sex with her husband,, on camera.. she needed to get on Tiernan's good side, so she played at his fundraiser and basically made him win.

Let me tell you why this movie was so amazing and will forever be in my top 5 movies, EVER! 2 words. FRANK LANGELLA!

I knew this movie was gonna be good, even when I saw the trailer.. Im not joking.. this is ONE of the sexiest roles he has EVER played.. All throughout the movie, the viewers can see that Tiernan wants Shay, by a simple hug, phone call.. Then my favourite scene EVER in the movie was the seduction scene.

It starts out with them playing pool, and drinking.. as the game progresses, he leans in to kiss her, she pulls back.. When she tells him " One more game- the winner says due, the loser, dies" she lays on the table.. he makes his way to her , spreads her legs, picks her up, as they are inches away from kissing.. he says "your on". I could've died, right there. After the pool game is over, he loses, so he asks her "what you want?!", she then replies " get down on your knees" !! she spreads her legs, he takes off her belt ever so intensely.. kissing her stomach, licking her belly button.. and just starts... OH MY GOD!! The next scene with them shows Tiernan, in a hot tub.. they are kissing and I know what she was doing with her hand lol It then, shows him on top of her, kissing her body.. After they had finished, he politely asks her to stay the night and she rejects him :(.. ( if I were her, I wouldn't have rejected him :( ), not even now. YUM lol

Every smirk, smile, pleasurable face he made was amazing.. My reaction to those scenes is the same every time, sometimes i think i need an oxygen tank, not because of the "go to" obvious answer, but because i was surprised and happy also hes soo manly. I'd actually need to stop the movie just to calm down lol

case and point, this movie deserves more than a 10/10 rating.

La maison sous les arbres
(1971)

movie was hard to follow
I give this movie a 5/10.. because simply, I didn't understand what this movie was really about.. I couldn't see what was going on until maybe 3/4 of the way into it.. Faye Dunaway, character was slowly losing her mind.. Was the movie set to be in Paris or not? There was a lot of mention of "Phillipe" going to Paris.. then out of the blue, they are all speaking french.. It was a super hard plot for me to follow..

I thought the kids had killed themselves or had been murdered.. I also didn't agree with the fact that the little boy was allowed to play with guns.

ill give the movie another look over and see what elements I was missing..

Diary of a Mad Housewife
(1970)

frank did an amazing job. See this movie, my review does NO justice :)
I first, checked out this movie on you-tube.. it seemed like there were parts of it cutout, it spastically went from one scene to another of no relation, i was thinking "what the hell".

I then, out of interest for Frank Langella, bought the VHS. I thought the movie, overall, was well done.. u know, a little racist, given that there was a Black house keeper. Richard Benjamin's role was whole heartedly, stupid and I found him to be repulsive, in every sense of the word.. If I were her (Carrie Snodgress), I would've slapped the crap out of him. How she put up with him , I have no idea. ( i know its JUST a movie lol).

Frank Langellas character is a tiny bit villainous as he pursues a married woman and doesn't care one bit about it. I don't care about THAT fact.. George Prager, is forward and knows what he wants. He openly flirts with Carrie Snodgress' character (Tina), and she wants him too..The first time they kiss, the camera shows a closeup of it, and damn, is he a great kisser (from what I had seen) lol.. you see removal of clothing, then they passionately make love ( or hook up).. every single part Frank Langella played.. every movement, every kiss.. was just amazing.

He played that role so perfectly.

I give this movie a 9/10.

Cabin by the Lake
(2000)

I loved this movie!!!
I thought Cabin By The Lake was an excellent movie. I loved how Judd Nelson acted through the whole film, he did such a great job. I'm not saying that what his character was doing was okay, cause, really its not. But it kept me watching, it kept my eyes focused, he was never hurt, he never died no matter what he had to be put through, even when everyone thought he had "drowned" , I did too, until I found out he was alright.I loved how at the very end, it kept me interested at what he was going to be up to next. I'm not a fan of scary movies, I was floored when I watched this movie and found that it wasn't scary, from the reviews of this film, i was sure it was to be scary, but there wasn't a scene i found frightening.

Return to Cabin by the Lake
(2001)

I loved this movie!!
I loved this movie. It was almost the same as the first (cabin by the lake), only instead of just killing women, he kills men also. And the scenes are much more interesting, 2 of my favorite scenes are firstly, when Stanley and Allison are in the dance club and he is describing Kimberly's last moments before she is thrown to the water, And secondly, When Stanley is visiting Allison in his basement, right before they head down to the set, when she kisses him. Those scenes, for me, were very intense and riveting. I gave the movie a rating of 8/10, not because the movie was bad, but because the filming was bad, I mean, there were times when you'd notice nothing was wrong, like its being shot the way a film is usually shot, you wouldn't see the "live" camera shooting, but then, very little, you would notice the filming mistakes. what went wrong??
