So I never watched Stumptown before, so I downloaded the whole 18 episodes and started watching them. I am currently five minutes into episode 6, and I pressed the pause button and came here to make my contribution.
What I have gathered so far is that this is basically a total disaster of a supposed crime thriller with some comedic inputs. First of all the funny bits are totally cheesy and corny. The crime and detective part is school playground games level.
I know it's based on a graphic novel, which I am assuming for the adult audience, which I guess answers my question why did I feel like I was in the MCU in the first place.
The Dex character/heroine is extremely unlikeable. If bedhopping became an Olympic event I am sure Dex or Dexadine would snatch the gold medal in no time. From Gray and Hoffman and a doorman, and now in episode six a female punk artist, Dex seems to have accumulated some characters as lovers/sex partners, and this is only episode six. I am praying to God as I continue to watch the rest of the episodes animal love interests do not pop up. Basically Dex is a loose carefree character and not a good representation of women's cause!
Suffice to say I like Cobie. Aside from the MCU movies I've seen her in Jack Reacher: Never Look Back and also a lesser known movie Safe Haven starring Julianne Hough, she was pretty much mediocre at best in this one.
Finally, I am not one bit surprised at all ABC decided to not go ahead with season two. I wonder if they are still hoping someone will pick up the line and produce season two. Doubt it very much!

So we have the first movie of the replacement captain america i.e. Mackie, and I've gotta say it was one of the worst MCU franchises ever.
Let me elaborate. We have reverted back to the Edward Norton hulk universe, where the character of Ross is being played by Harrison Ford for obvious reasons that William Hurt is deceased. And now he is the US president estranged from his daughter Norton/hulk's ex girlfriend because she blamed daddy for doing evil things to hulk instead of helping him. Then there is this Sterns character whom quite honestly had forgotten about. I only remembered Tim Roth being the mad soldier who took the syrum and mutated into something so that he could combat hulk. I had to look up the incredible hulk imdb and go through the cast of characters to find this sterns character.
Anyway the story line was extremely weak, the plot was all over the place. They have discovered a new element more powerful and potent than vibranium called adamsomething or other.
Basically the only star from the Avengers and captain america bucky makes a brief appearance to give mackie som pep talk, and Liv Tyler has two brief entries, one on the phone and one brief in person visit to her incarcerated former president father. She could not have uttered more than three short sentences in the whole movie, and I bet she got very well paid for that otherwise I don't think she would have accepted another role in comicbook universe franchise.
To cut a long story short I disliked this veryy much and wish I had not watched it. I have not watched any of the spiderman cartoon movies because I think the concept of turning the franchise into cartoons is stupid!
This one gets a minus 5 from me!
