Kekexili
(2004)

Shame on Those Who Rate 1 for This Movie
This is a touching movie based on really story of the antelopes protectors. I can't help noticing there are some people rated 1 for this movie just for political reasons, and what's ridiculous is from their comments you can see that these people have no idea of the Tibetan antelopes and kekexili at all, they just made this rate because they hate China and Chinese people. Therefore I'd like to share some information about the background of this movie: 1. the animal Tibetan antelopes are living in kekexili which is on Tibet-Qinghai plateau, but it's not part of Tibet but is part of the Qinghai province, which has very different residence races and religions, what ever that crazy head from free speech country said about Tibet has nothing to do with the protection of this animal in kekexili. 2. What caused the extinction of Tibetan antelopes? They were mainly living in China, Nepal and seasonally came to India in old days, then all the sudden the western fashion industry found out it has the best cashmeres in the world, and rich guys from free speech western countries paid big money for them, and created the dark industry line. The population of Tibet antelopes drops from millions to a few ten thousands in one year, those in Nepal totally extinction, only some left in China. So who is causing the sudden extinction of this animal? 3. The Tibetan antelopes were put in the list of national protection animal in China in 1980-1990s it is like panda, any kind of hurt towards them are crimes, and people who got caught harming them are facing up to death penalty in China, therefore no Tibetan antelopes where actually shot like what one of the 1 star rater said. Chinese hater will take any chances to assume the worst of Chinese people. 4. The story of the archetypal of the main character is actually more thrilling than in the movie, he faced with 19 illegal hunters and kept shooting until his last breath. And his murders are finally all been caught( or surrendered) a few years ago. 5. After the protection area of kekexili was officially established and China had a agreement with French, UK, Italy, India, Nepal to protect antelopes and end the industry, the number of Tibetan antelopes has increased up to nearly 0.3 millions by the year 2014.

Fairytale Ending from the Dairy
I've read the original novel "The Bad Kid", and it's 10000 times darker than this show. The story details in the novel are much more cruel and people's minds are much more scary. It ended with Zhu ChaoYang possibly gets away with all the crimes he committed because the dairy he made up. Things in reality are cruel and dark, but in his dairy are better. The writers and director of this show take this dairy idea. In EP 03, after Zhu ChaoYang's half sister mysteriously dropped off the building, he started to write a dairy. That's when he realized he needs a way to get away from things he did. And in the last several episodes, after Pu Pu possibly died, what the audience saw quietly turned from cruel reality to the better dairy fairytale. We see everything seems has a good ending. But, the director has carefully leaves us plenty of signs and hints that suggest the whole thing we've seen is not real. And let the audience ourselves to decide whether we would like to believe the good ending or not.

The Most Disgusting Ending Ever
I love this show, I would give it a 10 if I haven't watched the last episode. I'm very disappointed at how James Duff ended the Phillip Stroh storyline. In 5 and a half seasons, this show has shown us a group of decent detectives who followed, respect and protect the law and use the law as their weapon to protect justice, which not only made us audiences became better people but also give us back the confidence on the law enforcement system again. But the last episode totally ruined it. There's no doubt that Phillip Stroh is a evil soul and he deserves to die, but let Rusty shot him 5 times while he is still in the surrender position is not a good idea. What Rusty did is private execution, he went there with a strong intent to kill Stroh, he fired 5 times to an unarmed surrendered man(at that time he didn't know Stroh has a gun on his leg)and he asked several times "Is he dead?" to make sure he finished him, this is absolutely "MURDER". James Duff has many ways to make this Rusty shot Stroh part looks better: he could let Rusty fire his weapon while Stroh has reached his gun, or he can let Rusty happens to know that Stroh has a back up weapon......ether way this would not be a murder and Rusty would be a brave hero who saved his friend but not a selfish coward who murdered a a man just because he is scared. I'm sure Sharon Raydor would be very disappointed in the grave to know that this so called "son" who she tried so hard in 5 seasons to lead to the right way did this right after she dead. And if what James Duff made Rusty did is bad, what they made Provenza did is worse! As a policeman he broke the laws to cover up for Rusty, this is suck! Rusty is a selfish coward what he did is reasonable but as a advance police officer what Provenza did is unacceptable! James Duff should let Provenza told Rusty to shut up and help find Rusty a good lawyer, let the lawyer make a Rusty know Stroh is gonna shoot Provenza story and let the DA's office make the decision that they are not gonna charge Rusty. Instead he let Rusty murdered a man let Provenza broke the law to covered up for him and what's disgusted me even more is although the whole LAPD(including the IA)knows what really going on they all kept their mouth shut and Brenda Leigh Johnson who doesn't even work at LAPD anymore is still monitoring the squad. This is suck! Made me wonder how much James Duff hate Sharon Raydor that he not only killed her 5 episodes before the ending but also let everyone betrayed her will and believes. Or if he is just trying to tell the world that "double standard" is fine, it's OK to be hypocritical, we can always ask others to follow the rules and when it is about ourselves, screw the rules.

One of Zhang's Best in Recent 2 Decades
I'm never a big fan of Mr. Zhang Yimou especially in recent two decades. To me his all time best movie is "To Live"(1994). After 2000, since "Hero", his movies seems only focused on creating pretty images but all have very weak stories and most of the characters were too simple and tedious. But this time "Shadow" is not a weak story, it looks like a simple story but in fact is a complicated one which have several storylines and everybody in this movie have multiple character sides, every characters has strong personalities and strong thoughts. Although there are still some symbolic things which are kinda weird but I have to say this is one of his best in recent two decades.

NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: Stop the Bleeding
(2015)
Episode 1, Season 13

Shanghai is really not like this
Nice story. I'm Chinese, I'm always a big fan of this show, but I must say the Shanghai part is too ridiculous. This is not America, for god sake China is a gun banned country, besides police and military good people don't have guns, in fact, even most of the bad guys don't have guns too, only a few extremely bad and dangerous criminals may have guns, and there are countless security cameras in Shanghai streets and alleys. If someone fired guns in a Chinese street, everybody will be scared away immediately there is no way they will surround Tony, who is obviously a foreigner holding a GUN in his hand next to a dead body, and if Tony pulled out a gun and trying to chasing someone in a Shanghai street, a lot of local police officers will see him as a seriously threat of public safety, he will be surrounded by armed policemen and all their weapons point at him, and arrested him immediately. And maybe the writers don't know the density of population in Shanghai, an explosion like that would made thousands of people come out to see what's going on. This story should be put in a small town, definitely not Shanghai. And besides, the Shanghai street scene looks like an American China town, not like Shanghai at all, even not like in China at all.

Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders
(2016)

Very Fake And Offensive Show
I was going to rate 1 star, the extra one is for Gary Sinise.

Seriously, have the writers/directors ever went abroad? I'm Asian, I've traveled to several of the countries and have friends from some of the countries which the story of this show took place in, this show is sooooo fake and very offensive for people from those countries. The foreign scenes are so different from what's in the real countries, they made all the other countries look like trash, police there are unprofessional, working environments bad, but the truth is these countries are all very pretty and have high tech crime and ME labs, and these countries have laws, they are not all chaos unsafe areas; also, this show didn't do enough homework on foreign cultures. Like in the pilot, Thais are very peaceful, sweet, and male chauvinism is really not a Thai thing. But every Thais in this episode has a North Korean guilty face, not only the mood looks like North Korea, but their appearance too. Western people may think all East Asians look the same but actually not, the appearance's different between Japanese, Koreans, Northern Chinese, Southern Chinese, and people from all those South East Asians countries to an Asian person are like different between British people, Italians, Spanish, Dutch people to a western guy...... And the Japan episode is very suck too. There's no chance a female would running the police in Japan. Also, although that actress is a Japanese American but her character is so not Japan, the attitude is wrong, the angle of her bow is wrong and even her makeup style is wrong! This is just an American show wearing an "abroad" vest, telling pure American crime stories trying to fool those American audiences who have never travel abroad ever. And BTW, that female character Mae Jarvis is very very very annoying, because she always shows no respect to other nations' culture and make fun of them, really disgusting person!

Masters in Forbidden City
(2016)

The Documentary Version Is Better Than This Movie
This is the movie version of the 3 episodes documentary series "Masters in Forbidden City". Both the documentary series and this movie are documenting the ancient artworks restorers' daily in the museum of Forbidden City, not only about how they managed to make every broken artwork glory again, but also about themselves, how they enjoy this quite lifestyle and found interest in it. In this noisy modern world, this documentary let us meet someone who is living in a different lifestyle, it's both interesting and touching. Some of the restorers get a lot of fans after this documentary was broadcasted. In my opinion, the documentary verson is absolutely awesome and much more better than this movie, because the editing of the documentary series is better, the storylines are more tidy and the documentary series has a voiceover which help audiences understand every restorer's personal background and some professional knowledge better.
