This movie has to be one of the most inspiring movies in recent years. With a simple and logical plot, & without any over-the-top scenes this movie will make a you smile & cry, enjoy & think & most importantly change our outlook. It tells the story of a mother Chanda, a high-school drop-out, who works four different menial jobs, including working as a maid, for her daughter Apeksha's education. The daughter has an indifferent attitude & the movie deals with how the mother is able to change this. The roles of the mother & daughter are performed exceptionally by Swara Bhaskar & Ria Shukla. The cast performance is absolutely incredible and forms one of the most crucial success factor in the movie. Also no praise is enough for an absolutely stunning feature debut direction effort from Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari. Not for a moment will you feel bored watching the movie. The plot is so simple yet so impactful & that's what keeps this movie apart. Its an absolute must watch for all age groups & will surely put a smile on your faces.

I have watched this movie at least 10 times and even after knowing about the climax(which is absolutely mind-boggling), I am still stunned by the near-perfectness of the plot. The cast performance was unbelievable but what set this movie apart is the strength of the story & kudos to director Jithu Joseph for that. The first half lets you enjoy the cheerful moments of Georgekutty & his family before taking an unfortunate turn when they commit an accidental crime. It is from here that the show truly begins. Each scene from the crime holds significance in the progress of the investigation which is commendable for a movie over 2 hours. But what really takes this movie to the peaks of greatness is its climax which will leave you spellbound and stunned.

And of course there is another thing that leaves you equally astonished. The cast performance. This is Mohanlal at his absolute best. There are no scenes where he turns to a larger-than-life character. This is THE COMPLETE ACTOR at his absolute peak. He delivers each dialogue with stunning depth and incredible emotions. Some of his comical expressions in the first half is an absolute treat. Meena is the perfect wife for Mohanlal and she is nearly as good as the hero. The children do their parts wonderfully. Asha Sharath puts in an unexpectedly good performance as a police officer. But the biggest revelation is Kalabhavan Shajon. This is his career best performance. This will be an unforgettable character in his career. The rest of the cast also does well.

When everything goes so perfect you surely will get a perfect movie. And that is what this movie is. The finest Malayalam actor has another classic to his collections.

The reason I think this movie is a one time watch is purely because of the performances. Yes, I'm a Mohanlal fan but surely won't remember this movie for more than a week. The Complete Actor put in a entertaining performance along with the evergreen Meena and those two were the primary reasons you would be able to sit through for nearly two & half hours. Anoop Menon is an absolute treat and he is the biggest comic provider in the movie. Amy was charming and so was Sanoop. But the plot leaves you bewildered not because of its brilliance but some stupid sequence of events. Take for example Mohanlal says let's go to Shimla and of they go for a 5 minute song and dance. Then he says let's go to our native place and there is another 5 minute song and dance. Also the first 30 minutes made me irritated primarily because of Asha Sharaths clichéd and terribly delivered romantic dialogues.

All in all I give this movie 7/10 out of which a solid 6 goes to cast performance especially Anoop Menon. And the one star to the rest aspects of the movie. Watch this only for Lal-Meena & in particular Anoop Menon.

This movie comically reflects on the state of educational system in the country. The movie is carried mainly on its novel theme & the top cast performances and some good direction. The dialogues are inspiring and thought-provoking. But what really helps the viewers to enjoy the movie is the humorous way in which it is able to send a message. Agreed some of the humor was a bit corny but still it keeps you glued to the screen until the end. Amir Khan was a class apart. Almost each of his scenes had some message in it, in a straightforward or comical way. Madhavan & Sharman were the perfect supporting casts. Boman Irani made up a truly memorable performance & Omi Vaidya was hilariously & annoyingly brilliant as Chatur. Kareena Kapoor too did good. Rajkumar Hirani has another movie etched into Bollywood's hall of fame.
