I noticed that some reviewers didn't like the jokes, but I laughed from beginning to end.
The reason this works for me is that she is dead serious when she asks the questions and the interviewees answer the questions without laughing.
I love all of her stuff. It's a shame that this got lower marks because I want her to keep on making these series.
I also find it exceedingly annoying that we have to type so many characters to leave a review.
I have nothing left to add to my review. Just came here to say that I found it hilarious and worth the watch despite some of the lower reviews. I'm not a someone who laughs at just anything. The bar is higher with me. So give it a try.

Anything he is in, is wonderful. See The Man in the High Castle. Endearing in both Victoria and Marvelous Mrs Maisel...
The two ambassadors give absolutely stellar performances. Keri Russel is always great in these roles, and I love david gyasi. He is sexy and smooth in everything. I wish he were cast in more main parts. I could watch him all day long.
But the ambassador is "good" with Rufus
With Rufus, it is great.
I hope season two includes plenty with all three of these characters and their dynamic.
The final episode felt like the beginning of the series. Like all eight episodes were the opening act of a really intriguing espionage story.
Can't wait to tune in.

I was laughing so hard for so long, I know they neighbors were worried about me.
This was classic Wong. If you've liked her earlier stuff, you will like this.
As to the other commenters, this is comedy. People are dragging down the score here with BS moral commentary, or complaining that it's crass, shocking, and vulgar.
If you don't want crass and vulgar, watch hallmark channel.
Someone else commented that she was self indulgent and talking about her money and status.
Hell yeah she did. I just think this commenter is intimidated by powerful women who know what they want. They are just projecting their own inadequacies onto Ali.
Thanks Ali for delivering this single mom in her forties, a full hour of belly laughs.
I am undoubtedly her demographic. If you aren't, watch a comedian that will talk about things you can relate too.
