In the Dark
(2019)

Premise is Good, Characters Interesting, but....
The premise is good and the characters are interesting, but this is not a gritty crime drama.

I'm surprised that there is so much casual sex by 20-something's, who are only finding out it has emotional consequences? The characters are over simplified, and most of the bad guys are black. But, that must be okay because there's no judgment about resorting to drug crimes that result in the death of innocent people (I'm referring to drug addicts).

Admittedly, I've only watched the first 10 episodes of Season 1, so I'm hoping it gets better and the characters show some personal growth. Otherwise, I will get bored with season 2, I'm thinking. This is fun to watch only because dire consequences are candy-coated.

Munich: The Edge of War
(2021)

A Good Drama, with a Gloss-Over
This was not a bad drama, but it seems to be a rehab of Chamberlain's reputation. Glossed over was the fact that the Sudetenland was given away...literally given over to Hitler to prevent war. (And, it didn't work)

Never Grow Old
(2019)

A Serious Story of the West
This is a grim portrayal of the Old West. The life is hard; so, temptations for spending money and wild times take over the innocents. Abuse and death runs high. There is no comedy here. Enjoy.

Big Kill
(2019)

A Wonderful Western
This movie is a gem among a lot of amateurishly made films. It's well written, well directed, well casted, and well acted. The subtle humor between the two gambling ne'er-do-well saddle tramps is a treat. Actor/director Scott Martin has a great future in films. I look forward to his next project.

Hollow
(2011)

The Usual
The horror experienced primarily depends on the number of screams from the ladies; otherwise, I was more intrigued by the location shoots in Suffolk. I was wondering if the script was written with Americans in mind because of the use of "wrench" instead of spanner and "miles" instead of kilometers.
