In for a Penny
(2019)

People find this funny?
Don't know who came up with this show. Cheap TV at its worst. I have to give it 2 out of 10, because there are actually worse shows. Sat through about 10 mins before I turned it off.

2001: A Space Odyssey
(1968)

What can I say that as not already being said!
I can say I have just been blown away again by this movie. After watching it on 4k Blu-ray, seeing details I have never noticed before, appreciating even more all the work that went into it.

There as already being a lot said about the film in these reviews, but I just want what to say, something about the negative reviews. There is a trend with them, they almost all say the movie is too slow. Its a movie to relax into and take in the visuals, a journey into space is going to be slow, it gives the movie a feeling of the vastness of space. Not every film as to be about none stop action.

I can say that Kubrick was a true master of his art and I doubt we will ever see another director like him.

One Foot in the Grave
(1990)

They don't make them like this anymore.
One of the best British comedies ever. The casting was perfect. How people can give this a low score I don't understand. Some it was filmed very near my house, and often walk past the filming spots and think about the scenes.

We seem to have lost the knack of writing comedy series like these.

The Bubble
(2022)

Trying to be funny, but fails
What is it with films these days. Watched after searching through Netflix for ages trying to find something decent to watch that I had not already seen. Saw the trailer and thought ok a comedy fantasy. But no just people talking and arguing in a house for 2 hours while trying to film a movie.

Vacation
(2015)

People found this funny????
Have they watched same movie? Like a really bad TV movie remake with added swearing. Just watch the original.

Tropic Thunder
(2008)

Why is this good?
Watched it due to the great reviews. Am I missing something?

Baby Driver
(2017)

Hope Edgar as not gone to America.
Boring for an Edgar Wright film. Hope he is back in England for another, another cornetto trilogy part 2 not the same films but you know.

Breach
(2020)

Another bad Willis movie
Still 10 out of 10 compared to Manos Hands of Fate but still .001 out out 10 compared to any Kubrick movie. It just the fact that anyone today can make a movie with a digital camera.

Dragons of Camelot
(2014)

Aweful!
Hard to believe its the same director as Commando and Firestarter. I knew it would be pretty bad, but could not get through it!

Alien Siege
(2018)

Rubbish!!!
What do they do? Write a script in a few hours, hire a local for the filming and get a kid with a cheap PC to do the SFX.

Zone of Champions
(2019)

Seen it all before.
Basically clips anyone can view online, with two presenters with no chemistry between them whatsoever. Basically You've Been Framed under a different name.

Aquaman
(2018)

Spoilt by too much CGI.
Not sure how people rate so many movies 10/10. Thats reserved for masterpieces like 2001 a Space Odyssey which come along once in a blue moon. Its a typical mordern superhero film, spoilt by too much obvious CGI.

Samson
(2018)

Will give it 1 for the actors trying.
I knew that it would be like a straight to dvd job before watching. Only reason I am here is that someone gave it a 10 out of 10. If this is what about masterpieces like 2001 are they 100 out of 10.

A Weekend with Lulu
(1961)

Run of the mill 60s british comedy.
One of the many British comedy's from the 60s. With many familiar faces and a few from the Carry on team. Accidently ending up in france it follows their exploits as they try to make their way home. A few funny moments ensue, but not as good as the carry on films.

Security
(2017)

Passes on a hour and a half.
Ok little action siege flick set in a Mall, with an ex military man taking charge over keeping off the the bad guys. If people rate this a 10 thats like comparing it to genius movies like 2001 and Dawn of the Dead. The Later mentioned because of the Mall setting and similar set up but with criminals instead of zombies, but in no way made to the same level of film making.
