Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker
(2019)

A satisfying movie coming from a guy that never read the leaks
I never saw the leaks (hallelujah), and I think whoever it was that leaked the movie should be fired, because they're the ones that caused this HUGE fiasco between the fans. In all honesty, it wasn't perfect. The first half, yes, was mostly just plot hole fixes from Rian's film, but the second half I felt like it paid off fairly well. I did enjoy moments of fan service, and I didn't feel like it was overused. The script was...interesting. They could have done things better with that.

To be perfectly honest here, the original trilogy will always be superior than Disney's interpretation of the war amongst the stars. The prequels, despite their many flaws, I was able to find some entertainment in, especially with Revenge of the Sith.

Before I end this review, let me just say that none of this is JJ Abrams' fault. While yes, Force Awakens was a bit lackluster, i can tell Abrams does care A LOT about the fans, and he WANTED to give us a movie we can look back on as a "good" movie. However, after ALL the damage that was dealt with Rian's the Last Jedi, there was only so much he could do to repair the story we all know and love. Also the actors/actresses that are a part of this trilogy I find no fault in. They were just following the script. On its own, I feel like the Rise of Skywalker was okay. I can find myself watching this again in theaters. If you want to see this movie, please go see it with an open mind.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance
(2019)

After 37 years, Dark Crystal is back and is better than ever
I loved the movie, and when I heard they were making a Netflix series I could not wait, and boy was the wait well worth it. The story is so well drawn out, I was amazed with how well everything basically drew themselves together. From the characters, the objects and the lore itself, I could not believe they were able to pull it off. The acting itself is incredible. The cast was definitely well picked, especially with the skeksis. They sounded just like the actors that played them in the movies (The Professor had a bit of a deeper voice than he does in the movie, but I didn't care. Mark Hamill killed it) Please please please check this out! It is definitely worth watching.

Spider-Man: Far from Home
(2019)

Better than Homecoming
Don't get me wrong, Homecoming was a great movie, but this one blew it out of the water. The acting was great, the story was great, and Jake Gyllenhaal's performance was really well done.

Dark Phoenix
(2019)

This is Fox's way of saying goodbye to the Xmen?
When I heard that Disney was getting the rights for the X-Men, I really hoped for one last movie Fox would give us a good send off. Nope. This movie is just Fox begrudgingly giving it up like a toddler fighting over its favorite toy. Where do I start...? Well, first off, the story was blander than Michael Bays Transformers films, none of the fight scenes are as exciting, and after Apocalypse went, it just completely botched up the story. The villain was meh, and I feel super bad for the surviving cast from First Class, because while they fit their roles really well, this was just not their movie. Hopefully Disney will do the X-Men justice after this garbage.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters
(2019)

For a sequel, it did better than I thought it could.
I loved the 2014 Godzilla movie despite some of its flaws, and Kong Skull Island was a really cool new take on the giant gorilla. This movie in my opinion did a lot better. For it to carry on the continuity from both films, give us some thrilling action, and with the cast (especially Millie Bobby Brown, with this being her first major flick) doing a really good job, I'd give this a solid 9/10. It wasn't perfect (no movie ever is), but what really sells it is the non-stop action throughout the film.

Dead Space 2
(2011)

Even Better
This game, in my opinion, was a huge step up for Visceral. Honestly I'm not a horror fan, but this game did have my eye for a good long time. To start off, I do like that they added a bit more of a story element, balancing it out well with the horror, while the first one was basically more horror. We get to see how Isaac Clarke, who started out as a silent protagonist, and we never really got any reaction from him until the end. Now he speaks, and due to that we get to explore how he is having to cope with what happened in the first game. I felt it was a really nice touch to his character. The Dead Space universe itself is interesting. We get to dive in more into the world and how humanity is flourishing in space. That is...until the Necromorphs show up. They have a cool gritty Warhammer 40K/Halo/Alien kind of feel to me with how the stations, the suits, and the ships are designed. All in all, I thought this was a really good game, and I thought the DLC story with the characters from the Wii Dead Space game was a nice addition

Captain Marvel
(2019)

It's Venom all over again
Seriously people? Really? The minute the movie comes out people immediately start trashing it, yet what is it I'm seeing here? The ratings are going up? What could that mean? Oh, that's probably because the people trashing this movie probably didn't even bother to go see it and seem to have nothing better to do that's to hate everything! That's the best assumption I could make. The movie was not bad. I enjoyed it. I'm not all too familiar with Brie Larson or the comments she's made, but from what I saw she did a really good job in her role in the MCU. There were some parts that bugged me a little, but it wasn't enough to make me hate the movie. Most of the time when I go to see the movie, I go for the action, and this movie had quite a lot. It fits in well with the MCU. Doesn't feel out of place, the acting and dialogue is pretty good, and the action was awesome. Nuff said. Go see this movie, people! Do not listen to the people trashing it. Go see it for yourself. You are entitled to your opinion of the movie

Bumblebee
(2018)

Take that, Michael Bay!
This was the movie we all so desperately needed from the franchise. Great action, great characters, great story. I'm glad they took a totally different road than the garbage Bay was filling his movies with that got old too fast. Go see it! It was really good

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
(2018)

Sakurai gives is his all!
This has to be one of the best Smash Bros games to date. Great gameplay, great way to not only introduce new playable characters, but also bringing back beloved characters from Melee and Brawl. Sakurai promised to give us something better, and I for one believe he fulfilled ghat promise so far.

Elf
(2003)

Will Ferrell's strongest
I don't usually watch a lot of Ferrell movies because I feel like he goes a bit too far with his comedy, but this movie was so funny that it had me rolling throughout. The comedy was great, it had a heartfelt story, and it's a great flick for kids and adults alike.

Ralph Breaks the Internet
(2018)

What was the point of this again?
I'm sorry, but I really do not understand what happened in this movie. Wreck-it-Ralph was a great movie with a good strong message for kids and adults alike, but this one...there wasn't really a message at all, was there? If so I obviously missed it, but it didn't seem like there wasn't anything there at all. The only thing I thought was funny was the Pancake Milkshake thing, but everything else was just kind of bland, and I got a bit upset with the ending. If you guys like it, that's fine. It just wasn't for me, which is sad cuz I loved the first one, and I was pretty hyped for this one.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
(2018)

A great sequel to an under appreciated series
I really don't understand how this is worse than the first. It was a great movie. There wasn't as many exciting moments, but you don't always have to have exciting moments to make a movie great as long as it has a great story. This one delivered a great story. What I don't understand why people think it's a "bad idea" for an author like J. K. Rowling to be the one pulling the strings, especially with everything she's been doing to make the Wizarding World bigger and connecting the series to where it makes sense. There were lots of references to Harry Potter that you could go "Oh! That's in Harry Potter and the such and such!" The characters are interesting, including younger Dumbledore and Grindelwald, and I feel that Jude Law and Johnny Depp fit the roles really well. I also don't understand why it's the people that either hate the Harry Potter books/movies, or are just not into it, see movies like this and say it's horrible. If you're not into it, that's fine but don't ruin it for those that are really into the series. As a Harry Potter fan, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I'm sure many other fans will too. This mover deserves better than just a 7.0

Cloverfield
(2008)

If you're able to get past the shaky cam, it's really good.
I never saw the movie until just recently, since Netflix was kind enough to put it on, but I was really impressed with this movie. The beginning is a little slow, but as soon as the chaos hits I found myself at the edge of my seat the whole time to the end. You could actually feel what the characters were feeling throughout the movie. Scared, confused, all of it

Mass Effect: Andromeda
(2017)

Sorry, but EA has failed us yet again
Mass Effect Andromeda did seem like a promising game, but like every other EA product, it felt incomplete without having to pay another $60 for the full content. Story was a mess. Characters weren't even interesting, and what really ticked me off after release was that when EA blamed others for their flop! "We would've been better if Breath of the Wild and other games hadn't come out". EA just cannot take responsibility like most game companies do. They can't go "we understand the game was a flop. Don't worry, we will give you something better." I'm only giving the game an extra star because of the decent graphics, but that's it.

Fallout 76
(2018)

A great game!
Sure it takes some getting used to, all the multiplayer and whatnot, but it's really fun. As soon as I started venturing out of the vault, I became hooked! The gameplay is just as good as 4, the real time challenges make it interesting, and I honestly don't even mind that there aren't any friendly NPCs, because at this point there weren't any settlements like Megaton or Diamond City to begin with in this part of the Fallout timeline. It's a great game, nonetheless. I highly recommend it

Venom
(2018)

The Critics are wrong. Go see it!
I don't know what it was that caused the critics to hate this movie so much. It was a great movie. While it was pretty fast paced halfway through, it was really good. The characters are well developed, especially Tom Hardy and (what's his name that plays the villain) did a really good job as both the human and symbionts characters. The supporting cast are great, and the action was fun. I had a good time, and I'm sure others will too. Go check it out.

The Dragon Prince
(2018)

Great Show
While I miss the Last Airbender/Legend of Korra franchise, this is a really good show for all ages. The characters are very well created, the story develops pretty well, the humor can be pretty funny, and all in all a great adventure. The new animation style is pretty cool, and there were some times that I did see the old style of the writer's work in the characters expressions and dialogue.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2
(2011)

It's amazing to see how far it's come
This is a movie I cannot stop watching. We've come so far with this series, and seeing it end in such a brilliant way was just awesome. It was amazing to see the growth of Daniel, Rupert and Emma in their performances as the big three, classic actors like Alan Rickman (RIP), and many others. I can't wait to see the future of this franchise with Fantastic Beasts and future projects Rowling can cook up.

Fallout 3
(2008)

Looking back...
Fallout 3 is by far one of the BEST games that has ever been created. For a game to make a comeback like it did, Bethesda poured their hearts and souls to give us this masterpiece. While the gameplay is not perfect, such as the Halo like aiming and Karma system, it makes up for it with a stellar story, interesting characters, and immersive gameplay. I've played almost every Bethesda game. Doom, Elder Scrolls, Wolfenstein, you name it, I've played it, and nothing can compare (well, except Zelda Breath of the Wild) to such an open world sandbox game such as Fallout and Elder Scrolls. Great game. It's definitly a must have

Transformers: The Last Knight
(2017)

Worst movie in the history of movies
Transformers 5 is nothing but an insult to the Transformers franchise. Michael Bay has done nothing but ignorance and laziness all throughout the story. No continuity, no story, just Mumbo-jumbo. I'll list it out.

1. Megatron. How in the world did Galvatron return to his old form? There was no explanation, no flashback or anything. What, so we're supposed to assume that he somehow found Cybertron (which I'll get into later) and returned as Megatron? How?

2. Cybertron. Cybertron was destroyed in Transforjers 3! How could it be still out there when the space ridge tore it to shreds, no less in five years? Even if it was able to pull an Iron Giant, it would take Millions of years to put itself back together. Poor writing

3. The Autobot hate Propaganda. Again, why? We went over this after 3. They were already exiled, they're only way of transportation off Earth was destroyed, they have nowhere else to go, and they came back and fought for humanity anyways, and somehow they're still seen as the villains. Why? It's been done since 2, and it's gotten old.

4. Too many racist/sexist jokes. Enough said. I don't like talking bad about anyone, and it ticks me off that the only thing Bay can find entertaining is by insulting people by his movies. He's done it with Transformers and TMNT, and it's annoying.

What else is there to say? I'm glad Bay is no longer directing Transformers. He's done too much damage to the franchise, and we need something new and fresh. Let someone else take the reigns, and turn it into something everyone can enjoy. Not a certain number of people.

The Real Housewives of Orange County
(2006)

A show so stupid it makes me question life
Seriously? This is what society sees as "entertaining?" What's so entertaining about this? It's nothing but a bunch of episodes of a bunch of drama queens with their mindset stuck in high school, always bickering and complaining of the stupidest little thing possible. Seriously! They need to grow up! What's so interesting about them? Someone just kill off this show already.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
(2018)

Great movie!
Why is this movie getting a lot of hate? It's a great movie. It was very well done. A different take on the world of Jurassic Park than before, and I'm sure the series will never be the same again. Owen Brady and Claire return to a sequel that is very different than other Jurassic Sequels. The villains are more sinister, the new Dino was freaky, but awesome, and it had a very interesting story, and it did make some small references to the first movie, which was cool. I highly recommend it

Incredibles 2
(2018)

Totally worth the wait!
It's finally here! After 14 years of waiting for a sequel we wanted, and they have it to us, and it was Incredible! They did a wonderful job following up from the first movie, especially with continuity. The characters are still great, Mr Incredible and the Younger Incredibles show a bit more development, especially Jack-Jack, who pretty much stole the show. Story was good too. This time they're literally faced with the opposition the world has of Supers saving the world, and it was a good turnout. I highly recommend watching it.

Avengers: Infinity War
(2018)

Best movie I had ever seen
There is honestly nothing to complain about with this movie. The entire Avengers series has led up to this moment. Now, i know there's a second part coming soon, but as far as the first part is concerned, it started off great following the events of Civil War and Ragnarok, the characters are great as ever, the action was awesome, and the comedy was spot on, I couldn't stop laughing throughout the entire movie. There is no reason any person shouldn't watch this. Great movie for all.

Solo: A Star Wars Story
(2018)

Solo was a great movie!
I think the problem that made Solo "so bad", was that people underestimated it after the Last Jedi. Yes, the Last Jedi was bad, but that's no reason Solo should get that much hate. The story was really well done. It did a good job explaining a lot of things with Han, Chewie and Lando. There weren't as many plot holes or confusing moments as much as Last Jedi did. I highly recommend watching it.
