Scandale aux Champs-Élysées
(1949)

I did not watch it completely nor understand French Fluently but.. my two cents are:
As mentioned above, I did not watch the film completely nor am fluent in French but I can say that the film is mezzo-mezzo and that some scenes aren't that scary or suspenseful as they could've been (as mentioned by the other review here by dbdumonteil) but it was a bit nice to see nicely dressed ladies and Jacques Fath also on film.

It's the first time I see a French Film Noir/Thriller type of movie. It was interesting, pitifully I wish it was better.. and more suspenseful.

The Sheepman
(1958)

Watched only the ending of this film...
I was looking through some tv channels and found this film in-between everything. I immediately identified Glenn Ford in it. It was around the last 25-30 minutes. By what I've seen, it's a good movie. Can't write much more than this, but I can say that Glenn Ford's acting is a pleasure to watch in the westerns.

Pour le Mérite
(1938)

Excellent Movie
I watched the first half of this movie (time did not permit me to see it entirely). It's very nice by what I see, makes you see the ambient of world war one from a more personal level. I think at least some of the planes used in this movie were original, I think the Fokker Dr I in this film was one that was used by v Richthofen, but I don't remember exactly.

La révolution française
(1989)

Excellent movie, excellent introduction to the French Revolution
This was the first movie I watched about the French Revolution. It gives you a very good introduction to the happening of events from this time. Highly Recommend giving this movie a watch. Some of the music (soundtracks) are very nice. There used to be on youtube an upload with the music, but now they're long gone.

Danton
(1983)

Wonderful movie, very brief and to the point
It's a wonderful movie to introduce you to Danton and some other characters from the French Revolution. Andrej Wajda took a lot of time and planned this throughly and carefully. There are some scenes that might be a little disturbing (such as some corpses). But I really recommend watching this movie. There is a behind the scenes video too that shows how this movie was done and the amount of details and effort that was taken into making this film. He planned it many years in advance, if I remember correctly.

Day of the Evil Gun
(1968)

Watched the
This is the second film I see with Glenn Ford. The portrayal by Glenn Ford in this movie is extraordinary. This Western is a good one to watch. Other reviewers here might cover it more in detail, but I want to add my rating on this film too..

The Dick Van Dyke Show
(1961)

Nice Program
I watch it from time to time on MeTV. I enjoy laughing at looking at it. It's a nice pass time to watch it.

Destination Murder
(1950)

One of my favorite Film Noirs
I really loved this movie. Well made plot, the actors are superb. I really loved watching this movie, full of emotion and suspense. Wonderful to watch. I've watched a few film noirs before this one. Highly Recommend watching sometime.

Walker, Texas Ranger
(1993)

Not really my tv show
I don't like it.. the action is very typical of the 90s' and it's not that great.. the plots or acting. Sorry guys but don't reccomend.

The Cameraman
(1928)

Nice Silent Film with Buster Keaton and Marceline Day
I think this was one of the beautifulest silent films I've seen. I think it's a masterpiece. Very romantic and emotional the connection and acting between Keaton and Day. It has a good plot too. The monkey is hilarious too. Buster Keaton and Marceline Day are great here. I'll let you watch the rest and decide. I would really recommend this movie.

A Gold Necklace
(1910)

Nice Short Silent Film
I've watched several silent shorts by DW Griffith. This one was nice, naive film, that explores the ways a "golden necklace" goes into different hands, all the time.

Black Beauty
(1946)

Dissapointing Movie. Tha acting isn't great
I've watched this movie excitingly waiting to see in a film version (what I believed) a version of the book. The acting isn't great.. it was dissapointing. It drags on and seems very British. Overdone. Doesn't show more naturalness into it.

Top Hat
(1935)

Nice film, but reminds me of the Gay Divorcee
I've watched the Gay Divorcee before this film, and there are patterns that repeat themselves... I don't know if other films with Fred Astaire and Giner Rogers paired together are the same.. but I wanted to leave this not. It's nothing too special of a movie, in my opnion, although the costumes and dancing are nice. Especially in the last part, when they dance regardless of the obstacles (the sofa?, as an example).

The Gay Divorcee
(1934)

Interesting film with Fred Astaire
I'm not a fan of Ginger Rogers, but she does her role well here. The plot is quite good, 1930s style. It is funny when the Italian opera singer comes along. It is pleasing to see the dancing, costumes and the movie overall.

Walk a Crooked Mile
(1948)

Interesting Film
I've watched this film last year, and it is quite good. It keeps you in the edge of your seat all the time. As mentioned here it is from the time that Hollywood begun making movies against communism.

The Corn Is Green
(1945)

Dissapointing acting by Ms Davis
The plot goes around of a woman that has a school that tries to educate poor boys that worked in coal mines (?). Later the teacher (Ms Davis) tries to get a scholarship for one of the boys. I have not seen the movie completly from end to end, because I soon found it a little dragging and uninteresting. I do not find good the acting of Ms Davis. Other may critiquize me for not applauding Ms Davis, but my opinion has also a right here. I am sorry to dissapoint any fans.

Woman on the Run
(1950)

Very nice acting, short movie
I couldn't get clear how the movie started, or how this woman's spouse was 'wanted' by some crook and the cops, but maybe it was just me that didn't understand it well since it was late when I saw it. Full of energy and captivating. It is a really nice drama. There are other reviews here that explain better, but the movie is full of twists and good acting. I really recommend it.

Meyer aus Berlin
(1919)

This is a nice film. Not a 'perfect film'
I've watched this film in silence, without any type of music in the background, just reading the german subtitles. It is nothing special, but was a pleasant watch. It is funny how later the two spouses find about each other. It's nice to see a film coming from Germany from this time (1919).

Another Man's Poison
(1951)

Terrible movie, Davis' acting is not pleasant
I don't find the plot that bad, it is good; but I dislike the acting of Ms Davis. I dislike the ways she portays her roles and characters. I've watched several movies but couldn't really go through them. I have seen this one to the end, although it was hard due to the acting of Ms Davis that I do not find pleasing.

Have Gun - Will Travel
(1957)

Nice TV series, although not my taste
There were a few episodes that I've watched of these series, and it's interesting; the plots are usually intense ones - not the typical western ones. Although this show is not exactly my style, I see it kinda too simple. I don't know how to explain it. It's not my own cup of tea.

It wouldn't be a show that I'd watch out of the blue, just because but I guess for others it's ok.

Somewhere in Time
(1980)

Nice plot, but the acting..
I wish the acting was better, although this style was typical of the 1980s, I believe. Although the plot is nice and the movie overall struck a string on how nice it is. The actress who plays the lady is very beautiful and charming. I wish the acting and movie directing style was better. I might revist this film eventually. If you don't mind the points I mentioned above, you might like this film. I love that it's set in the Edwardian time period!

Nevada Smith
(1966)

Reflective Movie, but Western
I've watched this movie twice on an old movie TV channel. It's about this young man who seeks revenge the murder of his parents during a robbery. He eventually catches up with the gang, and the killer? He has to discover who was the culprit. It leaves you reflecting a lot in the end... very intreresting plot and it is nice to see McQueen acting, once again.

Anatole
(1998)

Very nice, naive cartoon for kids
I don't remember a lot of this one because I was 2-4 years old when I would look at it. My mom recorded a few episodes with the VHS, and that's how I saw them. It was a very nice series. It's about the life of Anatole and his family (his wife and six mice). My mother sent me a link last year with an episode of Anatole, where he eventually went to the Notre Dame. It's a nice cartoon with it's own innocence, something that modern cartoons lack now a days. I have sometimes nostaglia for older cartoons, since they're more simple than the "newer" ones that are full of high-speed action (input) and go very fast, in the plots, etc. I think it would be safe for me to say that, yes, I recommend this cartoon.

I believe that perhaps these series opened the door to my interest in the French Culture, later in life.

Perry Mason
(1957)

Very nice TV series
I used to watch Perry Mason frequently back in 2018-2020 on MeTV. It was nice. The plots were interesting. I love the wardrobe of Ms. Della Street (Barbara Hale), and of that in the show. Usually I don't like courthouse tv series because they get long, but these series are ok. Raymond Burr and William Hopper are good.

The Carol Burnett Show
(1967)

Nice, Decent show from the 60s-70s
I watch this occasionally on MeTV in the night. Usually I can't understand well the intro Ms Burnett would do in the beginning, but the parodies are usually nice. A few are a little longer than what I would prefer... but overall it's ok. You have to be in a "mood" to watch it. I used to not understand it when I was younger. Recently I've watched a few and it's ok, as mentioned above. Lyle Wagonner is very charismatic, as always.
