Legends of Chamberlain Heights
(2016)

Made for a certain audience
The main demographic of the show is obviously black people like myself or at least those who identify with hip hop culture. Not a episode goes by without some reference to black culture or basketball. It's a brand of ghetto humor that takes in stereotypes of inner city people and rags it to 11.

I'm honestly so glad this show exists and it's really sad that it was cancelled. The jokes were usually spot on and were something i could identify with. It's a heavy satire at america and it takes shots at both sides. The animation may have been lazy but the characters and humor made up for it.

Serialized
(2016)

Life imitates art
This movie speaks to me in two different levels. One one hand the main character Hannah is a writer and as an aspiring novelist myself, I'm instantly interested in her. Secondly the murders here are a case of life imitating art which I fine particularly interesting when it comes to crime stories. Hannah is striking it big with her new murder web novel serial but much controversy arises once a copycat killer appears

Viewers will certainly be kept guessing trying to find the killer with all the red herrings thrown about. Admittedly the true killer didnt really get any hints and almost came from nowhere. This movie kept me fully enticed into the plot and I kinda wish it was a bit longer. The only problem had was the character of Jason . Lmn has a habit of making the male characters either controlling psychopaths or idiotic fools who only think with their penises. Jason cheated on Hannah and left her for another woman in the past and forces her to pay alimony ( I find the concept of alimony to be utterly stupid and greedy) even though she's strapped for cash . And he has the audacity to act entitled. If I was Hannah I would've wrote his death in a heart beat.

It's probably me looking too deep into things but I believe a theme of best selling murder is that murder is corruptive. Hannahs publishing company threaten to sue her, her ex husband constantly demands money from her and the killers motive is influenced by money despite being pretty well off. All in all, this was a great murder mystery.

Death Clique
(2014)

A thrilling ride with a dose of reality
As most of you probably know, this movie is based on the real life murder of Neese by her " best friends" . As such, it's no surprise he hat the main character lama ends up dying. Now a lot of people this movie is disrespectful towards the tragedy by adding details to the characters and changing events . It's only natural a few changes would have been made in order to make an effective movie.

What I liked most about death clique was how amazing of a villain Ashley was. She's cruel heartless and manipulative. She doesn't have some kind of tragic backstory in a failed attempt to make her sympathetic like some other LMN movie villains. She's everything I look for in a villain and her actress did a phenomenal job.

For fans of LMN movies or thrillers in general, please watch this movie. The character interactions are really solid which makes the drama all the more better.

From Straight A's to XXX

Mishandled morals and faux feminism
Wow this was one of the most idiotic movies LMN has produced since cyber seduction, another movie based around porn. I just can't be bothered to feel an once of empathy nor sympathy for the main character. She decides to enroll in some super prestigious expensive college that's why out of her price range so she decides to become a porn star to make ends meet. #whitepeopleproblems. I'll admit the movie was still fruits enjoyable despite the off putting premise but at the same time it promotes this pretentious idea that doing porn is a completely normal thing to do and that's it's even "empowering ". Why is that women these days seem to think every screwed up action they take is in some way empowering or beneficial towards their gender I'll never know . I don't care what your view on porn are, that pretend for even a second that it's some noble thing to do. It's a Shady business and doesn't need to be glamorized. I'm not a prude, far from it, but it's really telling that the producers really saw nothing wrong with the utterly flawed ideology presented here. Keep your sjw views out.
