Really... this is way off the mark. It really isn't true to the script and the actors are not appropriate; they seem to be trying to change the basic characters. It's a case of bad casting for some obscure reason that remains illusive. In my view this is as visually poor as Jamaica Inn was less than acceptable in the audio department. We are supposed to be entertained but this version fails to sit well. In my opinion it's a failure. I voted with my remote and deleted it, so I won't be watching any more. Pity, it was one production I felt might have reached the heights that we have come to expect from British drama.

We agree with the reviews which mostly give this a thumbs down but how does it get a 7.9 rating when 90% of the comments are negative or aee this as a very poor production?

Very watchable and evidences how utterly damaging gambling can be with debt being financed increasingly through ever more serious crime.

Pity that in episode 2 that Alice's black eye swapped sides! Really, schoolboy error by producers.

Excellent, tension at a high level. But why film it so dark you can't see some of the scenes? That's a mistake... a few shades lighter would have been so much better as sometimes the screen is almost completely BLACK!

Why replace a watchable program about Antiques with this lacklustre series. It's a step backwards watching unknown characters trying to learn how to buy from dealers. With both parties being filmed it ends up being rather crass and bears no comparison with the real world.

Jodie Whitaker May or May not be a good 'Doctor' (who knows?) but this series is virtually unwatchable! Poor script might be the issue but whatever it is it has most certainly hit a new low.

Started out well but silliness has crept in and what was at first serious and atmospheric has virtually ended up as more of a spoof production than a credible thriller. Pity really, since the cast is stuck with a script that is losing its way and all sense of purpose.

Honestly, good story line spoiled by inept acting. When the actor is seen to be playing the part the whole play is undermined.

Crass is too kind for this puerile rubbish. Sorry to say that Len should stick to what he knows. How do you go from being by far the best judge on Strictly to become to host of a show that is frankly the worst programme on TV? It's embarrassing to watch and strange that this should be shown at prime time.
