Thanksgiving
(2023)

Too much gore
I wanted to watch and enjoy the movie but it's just way to violent and way too much gore for no reason. I was aware of this going in since it's what the director does but hoped it wouldn't be that bad. Turned it off midday into the riot, maybe 10mins of the movie, just too brutal and I really don't see the need. Wish it was more along the lines of blumhouse horror where there is blood and things are scary but it doesn't need to be torture porn. I don't need to feel really grossed out at what I'm seeing or thinking someone's skin being peeled is really realistic so somehow that makes it better or more enjoyable.

Obi-Wan Kenobi
(2022)

Decent enough
It was decent enough. Lot of plot threads I didn't care for. The leia actress was terrible and editing to make her outrun people was laughable. Would eliminate that character completely and have just focused on Vader tracking obiwan , the student turned villain, and should of had some of the emporer in there as well. Had some decent fight scenes and cameos but a bunch of it felt like it dragged and cameos were just very forced. Effects overall impressive for the series and I would say I'd watch it again when watching the movies, am moving onto andor next, ratings are higher for it overall so see how that is. I was more interested in obi wan, though there are 0 stakes as you know him, Luke & parents, Leia will all be fine. Wouldn't really recommend to any other than big star wars fans.

From Dusk Till Dawn
(1996)

I love it
The first half plays like a classic Tarantino movie then the twist happens and it's just cheesy and great. Really enjoy this and wish they would upgrade this with a 4k and Atmos or something.

The Greatest Showman
(2017)

Solid not great
The songs are pretty forgettable and repetitive but it has an interesting story and plays well over the sound system. Picture clarity also great for the 4k.

Jurassic World Dominion
(2022)

Watched extended 4k, better then fallen kingdom
Ya the movie is kind of dumb and crazy, but also your on #6 of a dinosaur franchise. So ya things are ridiculous but lots of cool action and definitely better then fallen kingdom, that one's just dumb and not much redeeming in it.

The Black Phone
(2021)

Spooky
The storyline with the brother n sister kind of seemed like they were 2 sperate movies crammed together. Follow one or the other and create story around them. Just felt like the brothers storyline could of been done better. Not a too horror movie for me and not something I would buy or plan to go back to.

Ms. Marvel
(2022)

Meh, childish start
First few episodes are very childish epsidoes. Starts to get better but still a lot of drama that's not great and just stretching out the story. Cast is all fine but no real standouts, don't think I'd continue a 2nd story or does it make me really want to see the Marvel's.

American Auto
(2021)

Meh
It's just okay. The lead Harriet Dyer has no chemistry with her romantic interest (they don't appear to like each other at all based on body language.). She also isn't funny , just awkward in a she doesn't know how to act or know what she's doing. Think it could be better if she is replaced, just doesn't work well with the rest of cast. Otherwise it's got some funny people who have had moments but episode ideas are also a little on the dumb side ,know it's been renewed but see it being cancelled early into season 2 unless they really fix some of the issues.

The Gentlemen
(2019)

Decent but confusing
It's something you can't be on your phone or doing something else while watching. You really need to pay attention, it's pretty good just really need to pay attention and be okay with all the accents that can be hard to understand.

The Man from Toronto
(2022)

Surprisingly good
Thought it was going to suck like most Netflix originals but actually really enjoyed it. Was very similar to the hitman bodyguards movies in tone, I find those funnier n better overall. This had plenty of funny scenes, action directed n shot like Kingsman fights. Kind of a combination of different action movies I like, so would recommend and eventually re-watch this for sure.

Halo
(2022)

Done after 2 episodes
Just not very good. First episode had some neat action but just a lot of slow long conversations and a little confusing. Really had hoped for something better then this, looked at reviews and see most people hate it, so won't bother continuing. Unfortunate.

The Afterparty
(2022)

Very solid
Very solid series. Each episode was fresh and not redundant telling same story. Didnt know who Dunn it until the very end. Each episode had a different tone, really enjoyed the musical episode, definitely worth the watch.

The King's Man
(2021)

Very solid
I saw reviews for the movie being pretty mediocre but it was actually really entertaining. I thought it was much closer to the quality of the first movie, the 2nd just went off the rails and was way over the top. This had plenty of good actors, cool action scenes, I'd definitely rewatch.

Morbius
(2022)

Interesting not as bad as I thought it would be
So many things saying this was just going to be a terrible movie. It wasn't original, predictable but doesn't mean it wasn't entertaining. So nest action slow Mo scenes and some random parts that were interesting. Plenty of decent actors, better then venom let there be carnage. Kind of the quality of an early 2000s action movie X-Men 3, daredevil level.

The Predator
(2018)

Upon 2nd viewing
Didn't enjoy the first time I watched. Seeing it a second time, it's actually not that bad. It's got some cool scenes in it, franchise still hasn't been able to capture the magic of the first. But worth the watch, probably about equal to the 2nd movie.

Superintelligence
(2020)

It's not as bad as most reviews say
It's got some funny parts and nice scenes. But overall it's just not great. McCarthy is solid and Corden has some funny parts, lots of random actors. Could of been shorter but not terrible pacing, not something I'd go back to again but if on tv I may watch a few parts of it.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit
(1988)

Awkward
It's an interesting movie, not exactly for adults or kids just a weird vibe. That said there's plenty to the movie that will make you laugh or go wow really. It's not for young kids, worth the watch is say.

Uncharted
(2022)

Good enough
It felt a little slow paced watching it felt r the first time. Had some cool action sequences and Holland/Wahlberg pairing was good. Just not an amazing action/adventure movie, more of an okay/decent movie. Would hope sequel would get a better director.

Ambulance
(2022)

Standard bayhem
Just get it out of the way that the script acting and all sorts of things have issues. But it's a Michael Bay movie and you come for the action, which there is plenty. Better then 6 underground but far from the rock. Worth the watch and I'd watch again or buy in 4k for cheap eventually.

Moon Knight
(2022)

Was fine nothing great
It's ok. Some interesting story but the way it was edited together I just didn't care for it much. The 5th episode being just backstory really messed up the pacing and development. Isn't something I want to see a 2nd season of or would go back to rewatch any time soon.

Scream
(2022)

Worse of the 5 so far
Unfortunately just wasn't as good as the others. They remained kind of cheesy and fun with good storyline. This was kind of lazyily told redo of the original with more gore then needed. Showing really graphic stabbings wasn't apart or needed in the franchise. Not something you'd really be eager to rewatch and no really memorable scenes.

Universal Soldier: Regeneration
(2009)

Meh
I didn't care for this at all really. SAw positive reviews so was expecting to be better then the 2nd movie but it wasn't. I'll still try the fourth but I'm not overly optimistic about it.

Universal Soldier: The Return
(1999)

It's okay
I would say for me ruined by the heavy metal music. There's lots of action and so many explosions. Not well acted but who cares for this type of movie really. Just not nearly as good as the original but a watchable movie, nowhere near van damme best.

Power Rangers
(2017)

Not that bad afterall
Had a lot of terrible reviews so never got around to watching it when it came out. It's got some terrible lines and not great acting but kind of a fun action movie . Feels like written by transformers/battleship writers. So if you enjoy those movies you'll likely enjoy this as well.

9-1-1: Lone Star: Riddle of the Sphynx
(2022)
Episode 13, Season 3

Ugh the drama at this point
I don't understand why they are turning into this terrible character driven soap opera .. I do know it's because of Rob Lowe (there is a reason he has been in so many shows that get cancelled). Just ruining 911, would love this to be cancelled and do like a 911 Utah or something with more seasons and wilderness situations.
