I had no clue who Robbie Williams was, and still don't. I tried watching the movie, got about 18mins in and couldn't do anymore. I can't connect with watching a cgi monkey, as a biopic about an artist I'm unfamiliar with. I just don't understand this creative choice. Could of gotten across the same point by doing it for a single scene and be pressured to perform. Couldn't get any other family members to try and glad they didn't. Wouldn't bother with this or look into his music either as I just found this to be one of the dumbest creative decisions I've seen in a movie. Oh and as box office bombs go, who though it was a smart idea to spend 2-3x on this movie vs bohemian Rhapsody and rocketman.
I wanted to watch and enjoy the movie but it's just way to violent and way too much gore for no reason. I was aware of this going in since it's what the director does but hoped it wouldn't be that bad. Turned it off midday into the riot, maybe 10mins of the movie, just too brutal and I really don't see the need. Wish it was more along the lines of blumhouse horror where there is blood and things are scary but it doesn't need to be torture porn. I don't need to feel really grossed out at what I'm seeing or thinking someone's skin being peeled is really realistic so somehow that makes it better or more enjoyable.
