Bloodshot
(2020)

Not as bad as the reputation that was made for it.
In all honesty, the movie is not as half bad as people tend to say it is, yes, it is an over-used package which the audience has maybe had to much of in the 2000's, but it actually feels nice to see a well made action packed, wreaking havoc movie with the all mighty Vin Diesel in the leading role, which he played perfectly in my opinion. Also, the supportng characters were nicely developed and placed nicely by the casted crew, especially Eiza Gonzalez. Altho bland for some, I think it was a good movie with a nice blend of everything.

Blood Diamond
(2006)

A beautiful, realistic and emotional plot with a bittersweet ending.
Ever since I saw Djimon Hounsou in the notorious "Never Back Down" movie, he never seemed to dissapoint my expectations, both from his acting role and from the movies he acted in. Combined with one of the best of all time, the all-mighty Di Caprio, this duo manages to lead the audience through an emotional rollercoaster, depicting all the characteristics of the complexed human being: greed, hate, malice, love, cruelty, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, sloth and so on (yes, I included the seven deadly sins). On top of that, we witness an adventure through the mesmerising vistas of the beautiful African continent, which is wrapped up with a bittersweet ending which will, rest assured, not leave many indifferent. A movie worthy of being compared with a diamond, such as the title of the movie states.

The Matrix Resurrections
(2021)

Still can't decide whether I like it or not.
To be honest, I still can not conclude whether the film was at least "good" or a total disappointment. I am overjoyed that Neo and Trinity are alive in the real world after all, although this turn of events destroyed the sacrificial end with which Neo's life ended and the his legend began. The way they managed to bring Neo back to life is solid, though I can not think the same for Trinity, who was literally torn apart by the wreckage of the ship. However, it was a good feeling to find out that our favourite sci-fi heroes are alive in this fictional and dark, yet perfect world. What caught my eye in a negative sense was the excessive use of bullet stopping, given that Neo did literally the same thing during each fight, the superficiality and shallowness of the other characters that the film actually presents us with and that we need to know much more, even though it is a fact that Neo is the star of the show, with Trinity by his side. Also disappointing is the fact that Morpheus's death is hardly explained, although he is one of the most important characters in the franchise, and who simply does not appear just because the director decided he should be dead and did not call Lawrence Fishbourne. Although the Matrix generally looks likeable, one can not help but notice the lack of that unique green filter that made the Matrix films recognizable and set that world apart from the others we have seen on movie screens. In addition, I must note the fact that the film fails to identify its antagonist. Agent Smith is neutral this time around, and maybe even one of the good guys, while the only villain, if you can call him that, the Analyst, is presented in literally one to two sentences, and there is too much, almost negligible screen time. The fact that the world progressed during those 60 years while Neo lived erroneously in the Matrix is completely logical, but the closeness between humans and machines is illogical and overly hyperbolized to me, especially with that frivolous little robot roaming the ship, reminding me more of Transformers than a serious action movie, as "The Matrix". In the end, the film had almost no premise of its own, other than discovering, to our great satisfaction and nurturing nostalgia, that Neo and Trinity are alive and that they will continue to rule the Matrix freely and exist in the real world. Apart from this conclusion, there is nothing else that we can define as the meaning of this film. It ends hastily, unfinished, uninteresting and unemotional, again on an overly fun and seemingly ridiculous basis.

Kastanjemanden
(2021)

Scandinavia Creativity never seizes to impress.
Dark, gloomy, mystical and secretly as Scandinavian movies/series can get. I am a huge fan of Scandinavian thriller/crime books and this TV Show succeeds in producing absolutely the same atmosphere you feel when reading those books. Gruesome murder scenes, unidentified killer, an opposing, but similar detective duo, so many question marks all over the place, you don't know what to grab upon and try do demystify it. I would recommend this series to absolutely everyone who loves a creative, quality, dark and deep thriller/drama/crime show with a slow building, but addictive pace that will make you watch the show in a heartbeat.

A Boy Called Christmas
(2021)

Cozy, warm, Christmas atmosphere movie
One of the better Christmas movies I have recently watched, which, honestly, can be a let down most of the time. This one doesn't most of the time, with it's beautiful visuals, nice story and the apperance of fans favorite Maggie Smith. The boy called Christmas did not leave me so great impressions regarding his acting performance, but nonetheless, it was a very nice relaxing winter movie.

You've Got Mail
(1998)

Simple, yet a heartwarming story
Tom Hanks never seems to disappoint, does he? At the moment you see his face on the screen, you know that it will be a good move, regardless of the movie's genre. This time he finds himself a baby twinkled romantic comedy, alongside the queen of romance herself, Meg Ryan. A simple, but a charming and a heartwarming story about two individuals who fall in love for each other digitally, not knowing that they are archenemies in real life. A solid 7/10, just because the last 5 minutes I felt were rushed, otherwise, it would have been an 8.

Sonic the Hedgehog
(2020)

They deffinetely turned it around
The original Sonic look was a disaster. They somehow managed to turn it around, by listening to the voice of the fans and creating a memorable looking character who screams Sonic characteristics from start to finish. Funny, warming, goofy, childish and everything else packed in one nostalgia filled movie.

Batman and Harley Quinn
(2017)

Felt unfinished.
Felt like this could have been so much more than what it was. To be honest, I was not in love with the animation, but I was okay with it, DC can do better anyway, but the main problem was that it felt like an episode, not like a movie. Also it maybe lacked a bit more characters, at least one or two, altho the villains were pretty good and among my DC favourites. I think that 6/10 is a justified score.

The House with a Clock in Its Walls
(2018)

It goes from funny to scary quiet rapidly!
It starts off in a pretty kid friendly way, even made me feel like it will totaly be a waste of time even for a grown up person who really does like movies about magic. But as the movie progresses, it becomes way more serious and scary, especially the ending sequence. To be honest, I did not like how the main actor, the kid acted, I thought that there were other better choices to be made, but Jack Black stole the show anyway, so maybe it would've not made any difference. Anyway, a nice movie, which I thought that was underrated and went under the radar, but I saw that it made more than 130 million dollars, which is pretty succesfull financially.

Enola Holmes
(2020)

Dissapointing to say the least.
I expected a lot more when I saw the trailer, it made me feel like there will be mistery, but expressed in a funny sort of way, which was acceptable. There is not a glance of what the Holmes name stands for in this movie, a story about Sherlock's sister in which she searches for her mother who dissapears because she went to fight for woman's rights in London and that's about it, zero clues, zero progression, zero mistery, zero intrigue. Nothing special tbh.

Formula 1: Drive to Survive
(2019)

Uncensored explicit Formula 1.
Here you have it all. nobody is holding back, swearing words flying everywhere, directors, team leaders, drivers pissed of one to another, remorse, hate, jealousy, friendship, team spirit, depression, the complete blend of what Formula 1 is all about, showing that it is much more than a fast-paced sport. I deeply recommend this to anyone who has not seen it yet, fantastic show.

Cocaine Godmother
(2017)

Fun to watch.
Even tho I don't know the story about Griselda Blanco, I am sure the storytelling here is completely inaccurate. Anyway, I did not mind spending the time watching this movie because it was fun, goofy, with great acting, plus Ketrin never seems to dissapoint, even in the most desperate movies. 6/10

Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens
(2015)

It kinda blends in after all.
Even tho in a completely different style, Episode VII still manages to bring something new to the Star Wars "table", even tho many, rightly so, judge the movie for being, simply said, way to millenial. There is again a gender swtich, which goes with the modern flow, but still, it does not ruin the vibe, the only things being wrong are those that do not respect the way the saga evolved. There is blood shown many times, which is totally off, since we did not see any blood even in Episode III, which had the most gore. Also Rey uses mind control without moving her hands at all, which is completely opposite to the Jedi way, we've seen Obi's gestures many times. Then there is the fact that she did not require any training at all to use her powers, while Anakin and Luke worked their socks off to become what they have been. I was also very dissapointed with the fact that Solo died, but it gave weight to the movie, deeper meaning which made it more important for the complete picture in the end. I was so happy to see Luke back again in the last scene and I can't wait to see what comes next!

Unknown
(2011)

Liam classic.
Another one in the collection of Liam Neeson movies that many would fail to distinguish, but yet, would still watch every single one of them again if they can, since all of his movies are action packed and fun to watch. This one also has a pretty good plot that evolves in ways you would not expect, plus the action takes place in Europe, which makes it even more fun. An interesting ending to say the least, lefting us craving for more Neeson action in his next movie.

Oblivion
(2013)

Creating it's own genre.
An amazing movie with amazing acting and georgous scenery and visual effects. The plot is truly mesmerizing once you get in pace with it, even tho it can get confusing at times, altho the confusion is a sweet one in this case, because you know you are watching something truly great. The ending may be bitter and sad for many, but it stoll gut a great finale with something to look forward to, if you are one of those "get touchy and close with the characters". Big piece of art.

Bad Boys for Life
(2020)

Continuing the same trend.
Bad Boys was not a "masterpiece" franchise in the first time, but it delivered what was requested from the movie industry at the time, which was action and comedy combined in one, while having awesome main actors. This movie continues to move in the same direction, being goofy, but also serious when it needs to be at the same time. I knew that Will Smith still has it, he obviously found the elixir of life, but I was positively surprised to see that Maritn Lawrence never lost it either, he still is one heck of an actor who manages to lift the movie spirit from the get-go. All in all, a good ending to an awesome franchise.

The Hateful Eight
(2015)

Still not a huge fan of Tarantino's movies.
I know that there is something special about Tarantino's movies and I can feel it to without a doubt, the way they are filmed and the atmosphere really stand out, but overall his movies are way to monotone and slow for my taste. The way things unfold is not satisfying in any way possible and apart from a lot of gore and blood, I say nothing special of a plot, expect a simple short story dragged for 3 hours.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
(2012)

Genre defining movies.
Amazing. Who would've thought that 10 years later, the movies and the story will conitue in similar fashion, with the most amazing visual effects possible. Altho with a brighter tone because of the different approach to the story as it is, this trilogy was beautiful, and to start it off with a movie as good as this one is the perfect way to go. The biggest plus for me is the length. I hoped that the movies will continue being 3 hours long and this movie is almost 3 hours long which is awesome for my binging desires :D All in all, a great movie led by the greatest actor they could've chosen for the role of Bildo, the amazing, always positive and kind, Martin Freeman.

Goal II: Living the Dream
(2007)

The first one was better.
Well, maybe the bars were set a bit to high with the first movie I guess. It is still an okay movie, especially with the fact that the matches are way better and produced, mixed together with real games that in the first one, but there was to much trivial content, mostly based on the private life that Munez was haunted by. I have not watched GOAL 3 yet, but I know that I am in for a treat, since it is considered the worst sports movie of all time..

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle
(2017)

Good, but nowhere near the original.
It is a fun movie, goes straight in the comedy genre, combined with adventure, but that is all that it is to say about it. Yes, Kevin Hart is hilarious and The Rock is not bad either, but it is building up to the legacy of the original in a way I did not want to. The original is very different from this one, I'd say darker, with more serious moments along the way, while this is solely for the comedy lovers. I would recommend it, but it is nothing special.

Priest
(2011)

I am satisfied.
Did not expect a lot, but got a lot more than I expected, hahah. The concept is just amazing, I am a huge fan of this sci-fi western genre that seems to be dying slowly. The visuals are absolutely amazing, especially the vehicles and the city, also the creatures look pretty solid. The plot is pretty shallow, but it is okay to get the action started. I recommend this movie to every fan of the genre.

In the Tall Grass
(2019)

Bad.
Just another awful Stephen King adaptation...oh my God, I hope those legendary books don't suffer and lose their legacy because of this awful movies.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse
(2004)

Good portration of Racoon City.
I felt like the forte of the movie was the environment setting throughout the whole movie, especially while the main characters walk the soulless streets full with zombies. It reminded me of the game much more than the first movie, also letting us to see The Nemesis for the first time, even tho they made him a lot Terminator like, which I did not like. Anyway, a decent movie resembling the games which caught the gaming world by surprise in the late 90's.

Resident Evil
(2002)

Decent Game/Movie adaptation.
Altho not following the game in every aspect, which is a GOOD THING, it still manages to relate to the game in a lot of ways, all while keeping it's identity. Greatly chosen cast, all worth the while, with pretty solid visuals for the period of time, including CGI of course. Great costumes also by the way!

Scarface
(1983)

The imperfection is the reason this is considered a masterpiece.
The imperfection is the reason this is considered a masterpiece. All the obvious flaws that the movie has, almost looking intentional, are the sole reasons why this unbelieveable gem depicts from other movies in it's genre. Al Pacino is once again phenomenal, over the top, it's like he is a mafia boss in his private life, not only on screen. The brutality, unforgiveness, greed, lust for power, everything is so perfectly portrayed, yet, feeling a bit rough around the edges, which is why this movie will be forever remembered, it is something we have not seen before, and will not see ever again.
