Watched the first five minutes in which the badly behaved children of scientists killed their mother. Far too stupid to bother watching and a total waste of both money and energy. Protect the planet and don't waste electricity watching it. They wasted far too much making it.

When the most beautiful woman ever, in my opinion, is the star of a Telemondo series it guarantees it ten out of ten. Of course it makes the whole basis of the screenplay ridiculous since Carmen would be desired by every man and every drug lord and definitely doesn't need sub pectoral prostheses. Indeed it would be a desecration of her beauty. Leaving that aside I have to say that I was surprised at how good the series was although like all these soaps they replay past scenes far too much. I was impressed by the quality of the acting too which gave the characters depth.

In many ways this is a beautiful film primarily because of the beautiful actresses and setting and the relaxed nature of the film. Unlike others I found that there was an underlying love story hidden in the film. There was also an underlying misogyny with fathers openly hitting on the young women which gave the film a dark side which was at times uncomfortable. Amin returns from university in Paris during the summer holidays to find Orphelie, the object of his desires, having sex with his cousin Tony, a very unsavoury character. It is apparent that Orphelie's fiancée, Clement, who is away on assignment with the French navy, trusts Amin but not Tony. The film concentrates for a lot of the time on the relaxed and loving relationship between Amin and Orphelie. It is obvious that they are made for each other. Whilst having many opportunities to have romances with the other girls in the film Amin is polite but obviously not interested. Near the end there is a nightclub scene where he only has eyes for Orphelie even though the gorgeous Celine and others obviously want him. In the end he befriends Charlotte, an Orphelie lookalike, who has had her heart broken by Tony. Where this may lead we may never find out.

This could have been brilliant with the most beautiful women ever in a tv series. The overall plot was promising but became totally ridiculous. The behaviour of the mother towards her daughters was disgusting and disgraceful particularly the daughter who was forced into marriage after being raped. Her husband continually assaulted her and yet all the daughters stayed in the house even when they had the opportunity to leave. The inference that these women were so stupid and unfeeling that they would stay there rather than live with their husband/partners was insulting. I could go on but when it descended into farce I started to fast forward and didn't miss anything. The only redeeming feature was the beauty of the actresses who get 10 and pulled up the overall score. Danna, Ana Lucia, Paola, Natasha and Zharack will always be favourites of mine
