The Days
(2023)

This could be 3 episodes instead of 10
This is a series about the Fukushima Daiichi accident but unfortunately it lost its opportunity of being as good as Chernobyl (2019) was. It is too slow paced and has a watery drama sometimes, to the point you feel the need to fast forward some really slow and unnecessary scenes. In some scenes you already know the character is going to die due to the excessive drama in the shots. I could not see the necessity of 10 episodes for this, it could be very well scripted for using only 3 episodes at maximum, still keeping spectators engaged. Summarizing, it is entertainment but the writing feels sloppy.

The Recruit
(2022)

No doubt it's a recruit
The Recruit is a movie that tells the story of James Clayton, a computer programmer who is recruited by the CIA. The movie has been criticized for its weak screenplay and lack of originality. However, the movie's depiction of the CIA's training program for recruits seems like a joke. The CIA depicted in the movie does not train their recruits properly before assigning them missions. This is a serious issue because it puts the lives of the recruits and others at risk. The CIA is known for its rigorous training program, which includes physical fitness, weapons training, and intelligence gathering. However, the movie suggests that the CIA is more interested in recruiting people with computer skills than people with traditional spy skills. The Recruit is a movie that has been criticized for its weak screenplay and lack of originality. I can't go past episode 2.

The Bear
(2022)

Great series! Can't wait for more
Absolutely gorgeous acting, cinematography, music and screenplay. Sometimes you will be on the edge of your seat and sometimes you will feel simple joy. This is the type of show it's hard not no binge on. Go watch it!

Elvis
(2022)

Does not deliver
All or most of Elvis' songs are cut very shortly in this biographical movie. Everything feels so artificial and Austin Butler feels so forced playing Elvis. I was frustrated by this movie. See for yourself.

Pereval Dyatlova
(2020)

A true slow burn but with exceptional quality
I got amazed with the insane amount of details devoted to the production of this series. Photography, transitions, acting, music, all superb. This is not for everyone as the plot is slowly constructed going backwards and returning to the present using many components such as color, framing and sometimes very interesting transitions. You should have time at hands and not rush. Great series.

The Undeclared War
(2022)

If you work in IT infrastructure you will get mad
There are so many plot holes already pointed out by other reviewers but what really ground my gears was the inaccurate depiction of anything related to IT in the movie. Really, with the present state of technology and cyber security they should have worried a little more about it.

My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman: Kim Kardashian West
(2020)
Episode 1, Season 3

The worst Next Guest
Just irrelevant story and guest with a moronic husband and life. This is as low as David Letterman could go (which I really like). This one can be skipped without loosing anything, including the streamed bytes. Interesting that her husband flew to another country to regulate on her clothes but nobody here raises a Woke hand since those are famous jerks. Pathetic media.

Radioactive
(2019)

It could have been a better movie
The film offers a very dark view over Mme Curie and Pierre's achievements. Some parts are very short and history is briefly touched. I cannot give this more than six stars.

Web of Make Believe: Death, Lies and the Internet
(2022)

Two stars for the effort and excessive drama
This is probably the pinnacle of American TV: excessive drama. Starts gripping until it gets unwatchable. Reminds me of similar cable TV programs, those being the reason I cancelled cable 10 years ago.

Unacknowledged
(2017)

Again, lots of pixelated videos and no evidence.
Lots of testimonials from 'credible sources', many hard to see, pixelated video clips of UFOs (as usual) and that's it. It's like those men that say they're woman. You have to believe them, right? Because it's true.

This kind of documentary that keeps sustaining an UFO market until today. Americans love conspiracies.

What Is a Woman?
(2022)

Gret documentary about the absurdities that are taking place.
This is about what a disaster a minority is doing to our society and children. Watch it and get your own conclusion. Remember: we are the majority and should not let this happen.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent
(2022)

This gets a 9, also because it's Cage
This is a movie about Nicholas Cage and his inner fight between his artistic aspirations, his family and his chasing of the big bucks as a movie star. Expect to see the Cage we all love with that over acting, with lots and lots of action and funny clever moments so it's a wonderful movie and well worth seeing . This deserves a 9! We need more from Cage!!!

The King's Man
(2021)

What a mess
Starts reasonably until a sadistic ballet-fighting villain shows up. This screenplay is a joke. It's a deep dent in the Kingsman series which was very good. Not the case here. If you are desperately in seek of 'adventure' movies, someone tried to make it one out of this one.

Station Eleven
(2021)

Everything was good until the troupe
It's weird to see people that liked the show trying to find excuses for those who did not liked it by pointing out to "people that do not like female protagonists". What a low point have we reached as a society right now. There are LOTS of great series with female protagonists and good writing. This is not one of them. Live with that, kids. 5 starts for the effort and production.

1883
(2021)

One of the best series I ever watched!
It's hard to enumerate all the good things in this series. Cinematography, top notch acting, writing, music, ambience, character development, oh my. It is deep and you feel very connected to all characters, this is a joy to watch. TEN STARS!

Cuba and the Cameraman
(2017)

Great documentary about Cuba and Fidel
This is a very light hearted documentary take on Cuba, reveals close interactions with Fidel Castro and the various occasions in which Alpert interviewed him and some families in Cuba. It has great moments and the people smiling despite all difficulties it's a great thing to watch.

Marry Me
(2022)

You have to be in the vibe to enjoy this.
Watch this movie without any presumptions. It's a Hollywood-"celebrity"-take on love storying. It's a bit cringey eventually but it feels good after. It is ok for a late night entertainment. Not all movies need to have a logic or rational story. This is one of them. 7 stars for the production and screenplay.

The Sinner
(2017)

Maybe too slow burn
This TV show is good but a bit too slow. I found myself fast forwarding many, many times during the show. Too slow for me. Everything has a limit. For that, I give 6 stars.

Jack Whitehall: Travels with My Father: Episode #4.1
(2020)
Episode 1, Season 4

Worst episode of all series
This is the most boring episode. I know this series is scripted (some episodes are really joyful and funny) but the number of times Jack feels he must raise the gay flag got to an annoying point. This guy must have some kind of problem. Plus it feels there is nothing interesting to do in Australia because of this writing. I jumped many parts in this episode, can't wait for it to finish, as I stopped just to write this review. I loved his dad on the series but will probably avoid anything Jack Whitehall related in the near future.

The Matrix Resurrections
(2021)

Really disappointing for original Matrix fans!
How would like Matrix exchanging Morpheus by the The Mask Character and Agent Smith for a tennis-playing prince of Monaco type of guy? Overly complex screenplay bordering the absurd. Really disappointed. This was the last Matrix movie I watched. Do not waste your time, you WILL be disappointed.

Ojing-eo geim
(2021)

Good enterntainment albeit a little unorthodox
I had to insist until engaging on to watch this one. In the beginning the cartoonish humor let me down very much. After overcoming that, it really gets interesting. Episodes leave you wanting to know what happens next. I felt very annoyed with all the main female characters but it was clearly the director's intention. Despite hating any type of reality TV it is a good entertainer anyway.

Free Guy
(2021)

Great entertainment
With the hilarious Ryan Reynolds I always watch it close because I like the guys' work and this one is not different. Great entertainment, specially if you view with your teen by your side, full of references of games, weapons in famous games, streamers and the world of gaming. Good to have a break from mystery/murder/horror/drug cartel thing. Go watch it!

No Time to Die
(2021)

Great movie: People like to complicate some simple matters
I am angry at the amount of shallow reviews full of pomp and words. Just ignore these simps and watch it. It's no doubt why it has at least 7.5 stars. It's a great movie.

The North Water
(2021)

This one is heavy
A very deep and dark slow burning series. You will be at the edge of the seat in many moments. Performances are through the roof but the script is dark and there is oh so much blood. A dark, cold story telling that men are the wolf of men. Enjoy it.

Risen
(2021)

Watch the trailer so you don't need to watch the whole movie
I just watched the trailer. Gave 2 stars for the 2 minute entertainment. Everything you need to know about the movie is in there. Go see it. It's quick.
